I don't know... if they're permanent cars again, getting those paints won't be all that fun you know?

Repainting my "Matte Black" Cars aka favs "Nero Nemesis" will be fun.:dopey:

About Special Stage Route X Oval

- The one straight section is 12km.
- The total length is 30km.

It will surely allow you to verify the top speed of Red Bull X machines. :)

30K(18.6 miles) That's larger than the Nürburgring!

"- The one straight section is 12km."

Only "One" straight section of 12K?

^^ I find the word interesting.... maybe I'm thinking to much.

Daytona oval only has one straight, as it has the tri-oval on the opposite side of the track (unless you also count the short straight sections before and after the tri-oval as straights in the same way as the back straight). Maybe it's something similar here- two banked corners, a back straight that's 12km long, and a rather large tri-oval.

It might be a triangle. Or a massive curve on side of the track. It might be like th ebit in the intro at the start.

I'm very eager to take a look at this new premium-ized Jag. Why no pics PD? I hope it's the Castrol livery, but having said that, I'll take it in any livery.

i think 30 km is too long, like 10 would be good.

i dont know what to expect it isnt really explained good.

i wont buy the dlc for cars i dont want them and its expensive

there are two cars already in and the supercars look boring

30km is good. Old test track was too short to top out some cars.

PS: Why is there no wishlist for removing that awful 20.000.000 Cr limit...

It really has no use after you have all cars. If you want to avoid it, you must buy multiples of your favourite car, which is not bad, but then you get to the 2000 car limit in garage. And then what?

but on the 12 km track it took like 2 min with a fgt that was long enough

10km is shorter then the gt3/4 test track and that wasn't long enough for top speed testing in many cars and the bends were too tight to get onto the following straight with enough speed.

Plus just to state again you wont need to do an entire lap if you only goal is a test run.

I'd like it if this big track had the GT3/4 test track inside it and that had the GT1/2 Test track inside that as well. Won't happen but it would be nice.

GT5 Philanthropy!

I was giving before it was cool :sly:

Seriously though, I'm giving cars and anything else I have every week.

I've given a lot more than I have received in GT5. I've given a friend about 20-30 cars and I don't mind. Its fun.

I think the ones who are more like "we need more real courses"... well, how is GT5 treating you? There have been more real-world courses at the expense of some of the GT classics. I still think not having tracks like Mid-Field Raceway and Apricot Hill really hurt the GT5 lineup of tracks. I think some fictional courses are added to make up for certain real world tracks PD couldn't get. Either that, or they just add something completely original for our enjoyment. The Cape Ring in GT5 is purely an original creation. Most games are usually about trying to please everyone. And as we all know, that is impossible. What you CAN do is just try to offer a solid product to as many people as possible and let the complainers complain while everyone else (hopefully) enjoys the product for all it's worth.

I loved those tracks, too. The nostalgiac bond between a gamer and a game is something very strong. I'd hate to see that bond totally broken.

Yep I won't really consider gt5 complete until they've put Apricot Hill, Seattle and Midfield back in.

I don't care that they don't exist somewhere in real life, it makes no difference to the "gaming experience". If someone went and built a real life Cape Ring, it wouldn't suddenly make the game version more realistic, it even more fun.

If anything I'd encourage games makers to make more original circuits.

I want Seattle more than any other classic track. There's too much about it that I like, besides that it's a city track.

Castrol wouldn't need to be censored but the Silk Cut cars are the more iconic ones in my opinion, maybe they use something like this which has the colour scheme of the Silk Cut cars but without the name.
I'm okay with either option though.

People are saying that Route X will be too long! Consider some numbers:
Assuming an average speed of 321.8km/200mph, it would take the following amount of time (Time = Distance ÷ Speed):
-12 km / 7.456 miles (longest straight) would take 2 minutes 14 seconds.
-30 km / 18.6 miles (entire track) would take 5 minutes 31 seconds.

Now come on, too long? Really? Sub 5 minutes would be the norm surely.

Considering it takes about 7 minutes for a gt-r to get around the nurburgring its not that long, and if its boring? Bump draft, pass and make it interesing. Something I noticed though is that it has some elevation change to it, unlike the old test track, which should make things interesting.

It's a test track. I'll be using it for testing only. The first time out, I'll take a spin around the entire circuit to see the view, but later on I will only be using the distance I need to get a good idea of the top speed for the car I'm testing. For high power/speed cars, that might require over 10 km, but the whole thing will very rarely be required. But it's good to know it's there should I need it.

People do that because they fail to due to think things out before posting.

Hey, the GT Academy team at the 24 Hours of Dubai has officially secured 3rd place in class with the other cars behind them dropping out. A little over 2 hours left and they are about 19 laps behind the leader in class.

you can drive any car to its top for 12 km why drive on a straight for 2 min?

... start thinking about charity, as all the rich ones do 💡

I thought of that allready. I'm giving stuff away almost every day to my friends. Cars, tickets, museum cards and everything else. Also running B-spec races for them and so on.

One friend (also a GTP member) got all tickets (thats roughly 70+ of them), all gear, horns and about half of MC's. I also sent a bunch of cars to my secondary account, been giving away cars for random to friends or per request and providing birthday tickets as prizes for winning in online races...

I did get some stuff for free from friends, so I feel the urge to pay the favor forward.

Nice video Akira, Thank you.
