No news regarding tomorrows maintenance? I guess were gonna have to wait longer for the next update + DLC

I'm moving away from GT5 a bit these days... I don't know why, but this waiting is getting annoying. I think I got too used on monthly updates, etc.

Well, let's wait... a bit more. :guilty:

Time to discover some other games... :)
 
Like I said when the maintenance was announced, it's just for the online servers to help them become more stable as they have been buggy as of late.

Anyone expecting anything more is crazy.

I moved away a while ago, i only play GT5 now and then ,as i only play with a pad. But i love GT and im a car nut, so i will always be excited to see what PD are bringing to the game in terms of new features and extra cars/tracks.
 
But it is pretty ridiculous how many delays there are. Im sure they have plenty of cars and probably tracks ready for release.
This latest DLC was delayed, but we didnt get a reason why, alot of GTP users have the opinion that they will release something at the time of Forza's next big DLC ( Porsches ? )
 
Yes, I'm in the same boat, I love Gran Turismo, enjoy GT5 a lot but if I play it daily like I used to do I'll be more anxious about the upcoming update and DLC. You know, we always want something new.

Playing some other fun games like MCLA and GTA IV make me forget a bit about those unbearable delays. It's getting REALLY annoying this time because we don't have even a word from them. I really hope (and I think I'm not alone) they bring something big this time... we can only. Hope.

What DLC was delayed? There has never been an official scheduling or announcement of the next DLC. The release of a DLC in March has always been pure speculation. The March Photo Stream update is what was delayed.

They never announced it in the first place, so how can it be delayed?

If you're going to use the argument that PD once said that DLC will come out approximately every two months, then you will contradict yourself.

If DLC does come out every two months...:
DLC 1: October 2011
DLC 2: December 2011
DLC 3: January 2012
DLC 4: April 2012?*​
Yes, between DLC 1 and DLC 2 is a two month gap, but between DLC 2 and DLC 3, there is only a one month gap. So it only makes sense that we have to wait three months (1+2=3) after the latest DLC for DLC 4*.

Edit: *Assuming PD hasn't stopped with new content for GT5.

That doesn't mean it will be every two months. IT will be whenever they have it ready.
 
Those who are whining about not getting new DLC: Have you even tried out all the Premium cars yet? I haven't, and I've played the game since release.
 
What we really need is GT6. My hope is for 2013 and some sort of announcement in this year's E3. DLC on cars and tracks can only take you so far. Apart from online racing, TT, DTs, and photo mode, there's not much to it. Next thing you know, you've spent fortunes on it, and then GT6 comes around the corner.

For me at least, I'd rather just have them announce GT6 and the discontinuation of GT5 content support by the end of Spring. That way we'll be in the clear on what their direction is at least, because right now, we don't even know if they're still supporting GT5 with DLC. And if they are, for how much longer? Seriously though, at this point, I don't care what their plans are. I just don't want to be left hanging like this. If it means GT6 in 2016, sure. At least I know what I'm waiting on and how long.

I'm not counting this time. Maybe I'm saving on expectations this time. As they haven't announced nothing yet, probably just regular maintenance to prepare for the next patch. :dunce:
 
just look at us lol we always saying stuff and complaining about GT but the truth is we are suckers for this game and we love it so badly that wi will be playing it until GT6 and thats all to it :D viva gran turismo!

So its started apparently, now stop asking and go on with your life :p
 
Update done. As I and some others had pretty much thought, no DLC.
 
No game update just a server update - not even a news post to say what was accomplished.

Meant Maintanence. My only guess is more stable online game, nothing else from what I've seen.
