No communication from Kaz will cause that. You can't even SCRAPE for info, because there just isn't anything new. Now if you desire "speculation", however...that is running wild around here. So strap in for the conspiracy theories, secret formulas for DLC cars, and the mystery of GT5 maintenance.

It's best just to ignore it all though. Come to think of it, I think I'll practice my livery editing skills by coloring some eggs!

But go back and look at those GT40's. Beautiful. :drool:

To be quite honest, a livery editor isn't really high on my list of requests for PD. I seem to be one of the few on GTP who seems indifferent about the whole concept.

I would love a livery editor, it would give a new dimension to the game, where as we have photo competitions and galleries, we would we have similar galleries for the finest artists and lets not forget the team badges/logos and liveries for online race and drift teams!

Does seem like a feature that could add even more hours to the game!
 
Taking road cars and painting them to have look alike racecars is the next best thing without PD remodelling every single car to its racing specs. If would add much variation in the races for the community as a whole! After the car has been painted its name could simply given a (RM) tag or something :).

If PD did read this they must feel the need to give us some news or anything, I mean look back to the first few pages, then a few thousand in when the game was being release... now look at us... Talking about eggs and furniture.

By the way, Im none to sure about that chair, I feel I would be sat in the drivers helmet... and lets be honest no man wants that!
 
My looking back on GT5 continues. This time around, I imagined that GT5 was more an attempt to try to appeal to everyone with a number of features. I would imagine those who disliked doing License Tests learned that they don't have to take License Tests to run all the races. I probably figured people disliked jazzy lounge music for intros and menus, so full-length songs and a number of rock pieces were added in. Some others probably were welcome that they could bring in almost any sort of car or completely tuned car to swoosh through the Single Player races. Oh, and let's not forget the 5th Graders of No-Name Elementary in Who-Cares, USA that would revolt if My Chemical Romance didn't supplement the GT5 opening song.

Moral of this story is that you CAN'T appeal to everyone. The most you can do is appeal to as many people as possible. You sometimes have to stick to tradition and never mind those who want to see changes too drastic and too far from GT's character. Of course, if you ask me, Moon Over the Castle should be the opening song. Don't just put in other intro songs just to pander to certain international audiences. Do you hear the James Bond theme replaced with something else? Okay, then why change up Gran Turismo's proper intro song?

My copy of GT5 is still borrowed, so I'm still on "vacation" from GT5. It will just give me more time to reflect back on my GT5 experience. I still have not done any race in the Endurance class yet. I will once I win every remaining race in the Expert and Extreme classes.


Sorry to be off-topic in this general thread, but I'm just sharing my mind. That's all I've done here since December 2003. Ain't my first rodeo (speaking as a Texas native).

Yes, I'm in the same boat, I love Gran Turismo, enjoy GT5 a lot but if I play it daily like I used to do I'll be more anxious about the upcoming update and DLC. You know, we always want something new.

Playing some other fun games like MCLA and GTA IV make me forget a bit about those unbearable delays. It's getting REALLY annoying this time because we don't have even a word from them. I really hope (and I think I'm not alone) they bring something big this time... we can only. Hope.

👍 Same for me as well. Sadly I haven't played GT5 in months. Waiting for news is not fun. So now I don't wait. I have been playing Birds of Steel which is new and I finally got a used Xbox and picked up PGR4 and will try my hand at Forza 4. But I still will not pay to play online.
 
So back to a semi on topic regarding news and alike I am taking a guess that mid next week we will get a update of some kind when the whole Easter thing is over.

Good idea. That won't affect Polyphony Digital at all. You've already paid for the game and they already got their money from that sale.

What purpose would you have?

It was more tongue in cheek, but youre right they could pretty much pack up shop now and leave us too it... but surely they must have an idea how many people are playing the game.

I mean Ive played GT5 to death since release but I find my time on it dwindling more and more these days :(

I hate this week's 650PP seasonal, GVS and Rome circuit were easy even with the McLaren F1 GTR Race Car, but the Nurburgring is a total 🤬
