Yeah, it would be weird to transfer your garage from Prologue to GT5 and suddenly, your beloved Astons dissappear. That would be sad, I love the DB9 so much, it's styling is so....tasty. :yummy:

Guess I didn't think about that, although the uncertainty about the licence the last couple of months made me prepare myself for an Aston-less GT5 ( very sad indeed ).
If that deal was in fact keeping Aston out, the ability to transfer it into GT5 would probably vanish.
Hope they are in, not only for the gorgeous DB9 ( or similarly yummy Vanquish ) but also for the One-77, the brutal Vantage ( from GT4 ), or any classic specimen or racecar-variant ( last year's Gulf-liveried Le Mans racer anyone?:)).

Really hope ( against common sense I know ) this one will make the cut.

For the use of their logo they should, those are trade marks and you can't use them freely...

Aston first takes big powerplant makes a comfortable and good looking car around it.

Ferrari first makes small car and then adda a engine as big as they can to it.

AWESOME!! Everytime I see that model, I picture an Arabian Skeik flying across the desert....in full white garb...white nuckling the steering wheel talking on one of those enorous motorola 'brick' cell phones. :lol:

That's a pretty accurate description, would love to drive the Mk1 version in interior view with its outlandish dashboard design ( including a motorola 'brick' phone :D).
Hopefully the digital dash instruments will keep working in the game ( unlike the real version ), although unfortunately it will probably not be included.

You clearly missed the discussion about the MS deal with Aston and although it might be logical to assume if a brand is in Prologue it therefore must also be in the full game but this is just an assumption.
A lot can happen in 2-3 years and there's no guarantee a licence for Prologue will still be available for GT5.

When they made agriment about car's in game , they made for full game(GT5) not for demo(prologue)...

I have to admit, the Aston Martin GT1 race cars are quite brilliant. They make up for the performance that their road models lack, but they keep the looks.

Yes, but if MS does have some sort of deal with Aston Martin, it would include logos.

Plus, if your going to some exclusivity deal, would you really do it with a rather unknown company?

What? Aston is unknown?

When PD acquired right to copy the RING, the acquired rights to everything the ring "owns". Aston is a sponsor at the ring and as long as the contract is in effect, the banners are RING property.

I posted this in a discussion with Tokyo Drift on the E3 thread but probably better suited here.

The US site is showing a 2010 release which isn't groundbreaking but it does have a pre order button now linked through to 5 retailers.

Is that new??

Oh, and to clear up the mystery from a couple of months back, the car I was told Aston had been asked to supply was the class-winning 2007/8 Le Mans GT1 entry 009 Aston Martin DBR9.

Yes i just saw this 2 days ago. It was really good. I know people like Top Gear, however Best Motoring is the best imo when it comes to covering cars, they really hit all the details it was a great video. Kaz defiantly had some pressure but he did his thing i was very pleased with his toughness. I know people are going to say just make the damn game, but Kaz is doing something epic, he is gaining more experience on the track and with business/future business partners. Him racing more is only going to fuel his passion for GT and try to mimic that same experience that he gets while racing into GT. In the long run all his hard work will pay off and be epic. Cant wait for GT5

It was, I'm told, an accidental side-effect of a deal for Microsoft to supply in-car computer hardware/software for the entertainment/navigation system in 2008, which meant Microsoft had a software exclusive for Aston.

However, I'm now told that Aston have provided models to PD for GT5 (these new model wouldn't have made a March release, but we know that PD hold far more accurate models than even GT5 would require from previous releases), so we should see Aston back and the inclusion of models new to the series.

We do have a GTP member who is better connected to Aston than I am (he works there), but he's unsurprisingly quite quiet on the matter :lol:
