Considering that a driver can't see his own reverse lights, do they ever really come on?

You have to question sometimes, you rarely see a skidmarks on a track, or not noticeable at times. But people keep wanting them. You're not supposed to do a burn out when your about to take off from start, because it will only slow you down or spin you out.

No skidmarks.. ;)

And to think people were complaining about a lack thereof, turns out they were wrong the entire time

"I'll cross the finish line soon!"

"We can finish the race at any time"

And you know what the great thing was? They eventually did :sly:

You're right, but locking wheels and the natural deterioration of rubber applies a dark coating to the road surface.

And to be honest, a lot of people do burnouts in GT just to have fun, so it'd be nice to see a little effort put in there.

What about the Ferrari in the pits in one of their video's, that clearly spins the wheels enough to at least put some rubber on the pit lane surface.

So apparently they pulled the Kevin Butler video from youtube? Why? It's still on the PS3 blog

From GTPs Twitter

Looks like Sony is pulling the Kevin Butler videos that mentioned GT5 from YouTube. Conspiracy theorists, begin!

Because they want people to watch the video on the PSBlog instead of YouTube. There's nothing weird or unusual about it.

I prefer to download them from PlayStation Store 👍 Great humor to bump a bad mood outta me

Which one? Was it the F458 promo video?:boggled:

And to everyone else who kept going on and on about how crap the 'Ring looked:

Thank you, I knew that crap version wouldn't meet final GT5. Do you like the new one? I love it! :)

Depends what veiw you use to drive. I can't see under the bonnet but I assume the engines running.

Hehe...i was faithful!

Also, Man Furismo Jive, Kevin only mentions games that "He" knows are coming out very soon, Almost 1-2 month prier to releasing.

Well technically you kinda get an idea that its running because you can hear it, the dash readout tells you its on and you are able to get the car going. Reverse lights on the other hand, you would have to get someone to stand behind the car in the garage, apply the brake and have them tell you if they come. Otherwise you don't really have any indication reverse lights are on thus in the midst of a race, you actually don't know (or care most of the time).

How do you know this/is this actually true/realistic/factual?

To be fair, I think it's just one or two people who may know something, and the rest just copying what they read.

I must admit though, if the game is being mentioned as a project that high up, it is a good indication that MFJ is at leat one of the next big games on the marketing radar.

And reason for pessimists to really believe a 2010 release date

Look at the other commercials for God Of War III, Heavy Rain, MLB The Show 2010. Perfect examples.

But those vids were specifically about their respective games. This vid is about MNR, not GT5.

Once we get the "Chief of ...." vid for GT5, then we'll know how close we are to it.

I think we could possibly see a July/August release?!
