, Ok, your Voodoo Doll is already built and ready for the show mate ;), don't be surprised if you suddenly feel an excruciating pain when playing GT5 online against me. :trouble:

Don't need a Voodoo Doll for that mate, probably seeing you practising your driving skills for the first time is enough to make my eyes water....;)

I think something was lost in translation. I suspect Kaz had an e mail awhile ago saying "get a move on"
this is the result of that misstranslation.

👍 Brilliant.

The cheif exec said "I'm starting to lose my head"

Kaz then added "Head tracking".

Also not bad.:dopey:

Yep, crying is the very first action of those who can predict a overwhelming defeat.

Don't dare to taunt me, I'll beat you playing with the Sony lame copy of the Wii Mote PS Move.

*puts name in black book after wiping away some tears*

I was thinking, I'm not sure if this has been discussed before, but do you think GT5 will inlcude all 4 seasons for each track?

This would make racing a bit more interesting, so you get to see different scenery and driving conditions.

You mean 'autumn ring' in summer? They should come up with a new name for that one then!:)

Whoa, slow down, guys!
Do you clearly understand how much developing time will "Dynamic Year Time Change" and "Dynamic Track Name Change" features require?
Of course, these are absolutely necessary for "365 days Endurance Race" simulation, but let's keep that for GT6. :)

Yes, and an updated version of their evergreen dance hit "Clubman Route Stage 5" and possibly the live-favourite "Las Vegas Drag Strip", a short heartbreaking song which tells the tragic story of life on the fast lane before the track is abruptly ended.;)

Yeah, that would definitely be a nice addition to band's creation!
At least their last single named "GT5: Prologue" sounded pretty good and went Platinum. :D

You have to remember you only need image assets for spring, summer, autumn, winter. e.g. trees with no leaves, leaves, changed colours, snow on them for example. No need to make it dynamic. You simply select the season and then race (although you could still have dynamic day/night cycles if that is included).

These are elements ( no pun intended ) which no one could really be against ( in the same way no one probably could be principally against 3D trees, reverse lights or skidmarks ) but the question is not just whether they could do it or if it's really relevant for gameplay apart from the visual aspect ( not talking about weather but seasons here ) but within the limitations of technology and time, choices and more crucial perhaps priorities have to be made.
So even if it would seem to be relatively straightforward to implement other aspects might prevent it from being included although ofcourse I could be wrong. :)

It is indeed very simple to implement. However, like most things, it would be ideal if PD had intended such a thing from the very beginning, otherwise it might prove too much. So we may see it, if five years ago now, PD chose to use "dynamic" scenery. :dopey:

By the way, Spagetti69, your head tracking joke actually made me

You're right I guess, this seems to be one of those fundamental basics they have to decide at the beginning of development, whether it's easy to implement or not. :)

This move thing actually gives me a bad feeling...
Don't want their E3 announcement to be about the use of move in GT5..
or some 3D stuff...

I think Kaz once mentioned that Move could only be used as a "pointer" for menu browsing or anything like that in GT5, so don't panic... PD knows exactly that a game like Gran Turismo can't be played well with a Wii-like controller

Sure Sony will present their 3D GT5 stuff but I also expect some real news and information related to the game itself from E3.

I expect the revolutionary advancement just like we got at last years E3. Put to rest A LOT of worries, and rumors. Track editor, 70 tracks, new manufactures, livery editor, in depth tuning, modification, night, weather, etc. I hope we don't see a single car or track we've seen in demos or previous videos

In E3 I want to see some dam cars crashing and blowing up like they have bombs inside!

Well... at least, the could show some NEW and kickass stuff :/

I would be just fine with a solid release date. If E3 had no GT5 videos or screen shots, or any news other than the date.....I would be just fine.

You will see it. :D

Hmm... that would be a bad move from them.

E3 2010 for sony will revolve around the MOVE and 3D. That's the big tech they need to push.

Move as a tool for design would be great. Camera to capture textures, navigator for urm navigation and the stick and ball for pointing, dawing and painting... imagine a spray can.

A livery editor using these tools could be fantastic.

A track editor using these tools could be pretty good.

Driving using these tools will be very odd in the context of Gran Turismo, but probably fine for Mod Nation Racers or Motorstorm.

Yeah, if a livery editor managed to make it into GT5 and they allowed you to use the Move controller to draw designs I think that would be fantastic, and truth be told it's the only logical apllication of the technology I can think of for the game anyways. I can't see them honestly saying it will support Move as a pointer for menus, they would get laughed off the stage for being so ridiculous.

This is a fake right?

Motorstorm 3 is another one of Sony's terribly kept secrets. Everybody knows it's coming, they've already registered domains etc for it.

virtual flag waving in GT5 online races with Move!

I know that, I just haven't seen this picture before.

My opinion on the move:

Driving tool: I just don't see it happening. I think it would frustrate Kaz's vibe for the game too much.

Artistic tool: If it really is implemented, this is what I see it being used for. An artistic tool in order to draw, paint, design, and other such things on both cars and tracks.

Head tracking: Self-explanatory.

Menu navigation: Navigating through the world map and other menus.

Other than that, I have NO IDEA what it could be used for.

I could see Move being used to drive the cars, as I'd imagine there's more likely to be a greater number of casual gamer households with Move than a dedicated steering wheel in the future.

I would never use it, but can see how it may help sweep a couple sales here and there for Sony. Far, far, far more people would use it than the Toyota-GPS collaboration, and probably even 3D.

It's unfortunate that Sony has put these new tools and gadgets in front of Kaz disrupting his ultimate dream for the GT series.

Any mention of using psp as rear view or side veiw mirror?
