"I hope we don't see a single car or track we've seen in demos or previous videos"

now that would be nice. What I'd like to see...

- A rollover,
- Some examples of how the rally stages will work (point to point + navigation info)
- An example of the "tuning section" which shows a "standard car" being outfitted with intercooler / exhaust and mild bodykit.
- Footage of the Top Gear test track in action with some camera angles matching those used on the Top Gear show.
- Some online private room features!

Any mention of using psp as rear view or side veiw mirror?

Not as far as i know off, it has been done in various other games before however. I would personally rather have the PSP show telemetry, time, raceincidents etc. From time to time i play with a good friend, changing in pit in F1 fx. and a feature like that would be awesome for me - and pretty much useless for most ;)

You Sir, described The GT5 of my dreams :dopey:

Bravo.

I don't know one single game with this feature.

Yeah same here? As far as i know it was shown once at a show (like E3 or something) a few years ago? but no word since.

I agree completely with that, even better if you could have it showing all the stats etc so you can set it up like a dash board, and then be able to hook up another to use as the review mirror. I think using multiple PSPs would be great, but there hasnt been anything said about this :(.

My opinion on the move:

Driving tool: I just don't see it happening. I think it would frustrate Kaz's vibe for the game too much.

Artistic tool: If it really is implemented, this is what I see it being used for. An artistic tool in order to draw, paint, design, and other such things on both cars and tracks.

Head tracking: Self-explanatory.

Menu navigation: Navigating through the world map and other menus.

Other than that, I have NO IDEA what it could be used for.
I do have one idea, though I think I'll hold off on saying until E3 to see if I'm right.

It's obvious to me what service the PS Move will provide.

In Gran Turismo 5, there is likely to be a Spectator Mode. And it'll allow you to create a character, a fan. And when you're in the stands or behind the fence, you will be able to wave your arms as fast as you want to PROVE you're the damn best racing fan ever. E-V-E-R-. Talk about a brilliant idea. Can't wait to get my cheer on! I'll be the best fan you'll ever see. I'll do the YMCA, I'll do the Robot, and every other awesome dance ever created.👍💡:sly:

you sir, have won.

My dream E3 showing of GT5:

A random rally car clip a rock on a rally stage and flip a good 3-4 times, complete with doors flying open and dirt flowing through the car.

A Ford GT having a nice little high-speed meeting with the wall on High-Speed Ring and spin out, with bumpers scraping the ground.

A stock Mazda RX-7 getting a mild body kit and Rear spoiler, along with racing livery, RE Amemiya turbo and high-stiffness suspension kit, weight reduction, and racing chip/racing exhaust/racing intercooler.

A full-blown track editor.

Pit stops with crew actively repairing damage done to the Ford GT.

A 2010 Summer/Autumn release date.

The V8-powered saloon will appear in the new game – which Owen got to try during the event. Our man took the controls of a Sony PlayStation 3 to sample the complete Nürburgring 24 Hours circuit – for the first time in video game history. And he even got to try the new night racing feature.

Plus, for the first time, gamers will be able to fully experience the Nürburgring, recreating the 24 Hours race, which uses both the grand prix track and the 15.2-mile Nordschleife. The latter – dubbed Green Hell – can also be driven at night, to get an idea of what the pros go through during one of the world’s toughest races.

I know I'm a bit late for this but I re-read it today and in my opinion this does not confirm the racing spec Lexus since he only says he drove the v8 powered saloon- not specifying it's the race version. However, i thin it does confirm that the whole track can be driven at night since it says "The latter – dubbed Green Hell – can also be driven at night"

We went over this mate. I agree with you but others have different takes on it.
Let's not have this discussion again.

Have a car list ever been revealed before the game came out?
In any GT?

HAHAHAH! Fricking hilarious. Made my day and the day just started.

I don't know one single game with this feature.

F1 - the very first racing game i got could do this. So undoubtly GT5 will somehow be able to implent it, if they are willing to of course.

Integrating the psp is a no brainer. If your able to transfer data over regarding GT then I suppose they may have gone one further and added mirror/telemetry screen.

Im thinking with move maybe car viewing... you know the tech demos of the mobile camera? where they would use the move like a torch/camera and look around inside the scene.... well like that only you can move up to and look around and inside your cars in the garage or showroom. I think that will be it! I think a long shot would be two moves in each hand and play acting a steering wheel with your hands... good for a 5 minute laugh (Motorstorm sixaxis = insane giggling with friends as you wildly twist your arms trying to control the damn thing)

On a wish, I bought Modnation Racers on friday (great game by the way highly recommend it) and I would be more than happy with a livery editor of that quality in GT5... I've used the one of Forza 2 and 3 and ModNation just batters them in terms of what you can do with little time and ease of use!

Plus finally if GT5 does indeed have/want a track editor then I dont beleive you can look past our good friend Modnation again on that front... 30 mins and you go from a plain level surface to a lush alpine mountain road with dips and challenging hairpin bends or a blast through sprawling city streets...

Just to clear it up this isnt a public service announcement from the Modnation school for motoring its just using it as an example of how to get major features bang on!:sly:

I don't know...
It would be really a mistake to concentrate on move for GT5.
The GT5 public isn't the public that wants the move.

It's just basic marketing...
There are different segments, and you have to approach every segment differently.
I'm sure there's a biggggg public for the move,
but GT5 isn't one of them.
Adding TOO much stuff can be negative, certainly if you have to wait EXTRA long.

I think you raise a great point alucard. Somewhere deep inside we would all like to discover everything ourselves through actually riding the beast. However, due to factors beyond our control, the standard we all hope they will achieve, plus the lengthy time period and lead up to the release, it's incredibly hard to resist any drop of news in this GT wasteland. Until it's released we can't say if all the time in development is justified, but we can sure hope so.

Focus on the positives is all I can suggest, easier for some than others. Its good to know that they can also tweak/polish/adjust a few things whilst the "3D" and "move" team are finishing things up. At least that's what I think is going on :dopey:

Saying that nodnation racers livery editor batters Forza made me chuckle.

Using the move for a track editor, photo mode, video editing within the game would actually work quite well and may even work out better than using the controller. Not much else though I'd find the move useful for.

In soviet russia release Dates you~

Dont ban me... :nervous:

For me, if this Move thing is the real "problem" of GT5 delay... I'm sorry, but Sony CEO is really a

It really is very irritating that they would choose to delay the already most overdue game just to add in support for some gimmicky short lived tech that all of 3 people will buy, use for 15mins then never touch again.
