I expect that that one or more new features will be revealed at the GamesCom (perhaps dynamic weather) and that there will be a playable demo to show off those features. I doubt though that PD will show any new track, not until the game comes out, but maybe the GamesCom demo will have an old, but improved, track like Fuji or Tsukuba.

I think we will see night racing on the current tracks. I really hope we get weather.

Gna Gna Gna no ones happy, for everytime someone said "thats the SAME old circuit SAME old car" someone has found something new about the game. So GNA! and Gamescon. Period.

This may well have been discussed here and elsewhere but there's so much to trawl through I thought i'd mention it here as for me it's very important and if it wasn't in the game i'd be quite disappointed:

Has a dynamic weather and/or dynamic day-night been confirmed for all tracks?

I doubt weather will be dropped, so far into the development.

Nope.

Kaz said he's debating it. Hopefully after it was highlighted again by the Sony executive and the response he got, that might pressure him into it. Same goes for track editor.

Remember there is still a chance we wont get either.

But that's not what he asked.
No, weather and dynamic day/night transitions have not been confirmed for all tracks.

It's not a rant, and you're accusing me of lying?
It took me a few minutes to catch your meaning - ran out of coffee yesterday, but I had posted a rather lengthy rant of my own about how people have no clue about certain (un)politically correct subjects. The "even if it is true" line deals with my post. Just thought I should clear that up. I don't belittle anyone's sufferings, though I am glad your relative was blessed with an amazing miracle.

As for the topic thread above, I don't see why having a known track to showcase a new feature should be such a downer. You stare at the same livingroom and bedroom for years, don't you? I bet you'd really like knowing that $2000 in gold was sitting in your livingroom on the way home. ;)

I'd imagine most of the really cool features will be showcased at TGS, but I expect some goodies at GamesCom too. Maybe even a new track. After all, the Nurburgring complex was revealed a month before E3, and last year's GC had surprises I didn't expect at all.

I know I would!

I don't think Kaz is still debating whether or not to incorporate such a big and technical feature like dynamic weather at this point. I Think If we don't get some info (for atleast simple weather effects) at gamescom, then theres a pretty good chance it won't be in at all. Gamescom is what they need to really build the hype (Especially since they're planning to give the european release there), and that feature (Since we got dynamic lighting at E3) will really set the hype.

That political rant you made yesterday seemed to be aimed at me as I was the one who got quoted.
As for not having a clue, or having a different outlook, that was and is completely irrelevant as I didn't state ( and won't state ) my point of view or judgement I may or may not have on the political situation Maxpontiac brought up.
I was just reacting to the gun-related post in a mildly sarcastic manner which prompted him to react by pointing out that other political situation to which I again reacted slightly sarcastic purely because it didn't exactly made Arizona ( which I assumed correctly was the place he was refering to as news can be followed around the world these days ) sound more of a "lovely place" not because of what my opinion is regarding this issue but as an answer to somehow make it sound more like a "lovely place" it seemed rather strange to come up with a highly debated political issue.
Simple as that, please be careful to make assumptions and jumping to conclusions purely by putting things, unwittingly no doubt, out of context.
Just thought I made it clear ( my political persuasion remains personal and I will not dwell on it in a GT5 thread ).

Not a relative, brother of a friend. And thanks.

Honestly I doubt weather is in now. We've not seen it and it's not really been hinted at as a feature of GT5 although Kaz has been working on a weather system.

I really think, like day/night cycles in cities, it's too much to ask of a PS3*.

*to PD's very high standards.

If this turns out to be true I will be a happy man for a very long time. :)

pls update your post, the article has been updated with these info:
- Japan: 12 race tracks and the street circuit in Tokyo Route 246
- Hong Kong, with its street circuit

I don't know. I think the rain effect on the GT5 logo during the last E3 trailer was a pretty damn big hint.

I know it's pretty early to be asking this but, does anybody know what the procedure will be for transfering cars? I worked my plums off trying to earn the Citroen GT and the Ferrari F1 so needless to say, I don't wanna have to earn them again lol.

I am very excited about the animated pit crews in the game. They have the videos of people playing the timed demos and you can see the guys in the pits working on the cars.

you will be able to use them in arcade mode, thats it

does someone kwow if the "jumping sounds" are changed. in the demo's?

in GT5P when the car takes are air (for example on eiger norwand) when 'falling' back down on the tarmac the car makes a stupid arcadish sound. will this be changed? also should't the car get damage from it. specially race-cars like F1-cars, SuperGT cars, Sportcars...

Thoughts?

If you're reffering to prologue, I'm not so sure you'll be able to. If your reffering to GT PSP, then all you have to do go to transfor on the game adn from that point on, you can transfer cars from the garage. You'll only be able to use them in Arcade mode more then likely for GT5 though.

I have a good topic for discussion! I dunno if this has been touched on before but, lets all think of cities/real world locations that PD could use as inspirations for future original circuits. I think the Aussie outback could be a good one. Also, New England cuz of all the "mountains" (oversized hills IMO) they've got and the scenery there is just lovely as well. This one's probably a stretch but what about the Amazon or some sort of...weird jungely off-road type track?

Aren't there already track wishlist threads, stuff along that line?

Nah...it was oil.

:sly:

Yeah so maybe they were hinting at BP sponsored race cars like the Lola!
