I don't get it.....what happened to the scale GTR and the keyring for the collector's edition? Are there different versions for every region?

Looks like it doesn't it? Seems like the euro CE is just a stripped US CE. They take away the model GTR, the key chain, and I'm not sure the APEX driving magazine is the same as the 300+ page coffee table book that the US was said to get. I really want those Chromaline cars, they are purty.
 
I was thinking of importing the Signature Edition here to the United States. Know which retailers are selling them and what would be the extra cost to import them?

Or should I just stay with the US Collector's Edition?

I'm still really hoping for a US version of the Signature Edition, but that seems unlikely now. It was stated in the blog that the Signature Edition would be in limited quantities so I want to pre-order this as soon as possible.

Oh, and in the unlikely possibility that a Signature Edition is announced for the US, would it be pretty easy to cancel a pre-order for an import?

Am I the only one who thinks the M3 looks terrible? Fancy having a bright orange paint job with chrome side skirts! Yuck!

I own a black e36 M3 so it's not brand bias either.

Is the huge price difference really worth the extra wallet and 5 "fake" cars over the CE?

It's been discussed, but yeah, while the GTS seems to be an influence with this one CE car, it's a bit different. The CE M3 really needs 19's to look less stupid.

It will be worth it to the one guy who ends up winning an SLS out of it ;).
 
Well, here in the states, the Collector's Edition is worth more than the EU Collector's Edition since here, it's $99.99.

lol I guess the Signature Edition is just so tempting. haha

Actually, the euro CE is more at 79 euro.
 
Oh damn, you're right. It really does seem like the European players are getting ripped off. The EU CE is way too stripped down compared to the US CE.

lol Well, I think for now I'll just settle with the US CE.

The money I saved could go for a Playstation Move which I really want. hehe

Well, here's hoping they announce a US version of the Signature Edition. It'd be kinda stupid of Sony to just keep it in one territory, but whatever.
 
Lovin' those chrome lines. The LP640 looks so sexy.

Just waiting for PD to announce a livery editor. It's becoming painfully annoying to be this close to knowing for 100% certainty.
 
I prefer the chrome cars over the others tbh.
I prefer classics anyhow over modern supers.
Liking the shelby too ATM.
 
real SLS for winner, Poland in GT official area (gt academy etc) and confirmation od cobra and 727 in gt as premium.

One of better days to be a GT fan :)
 
Cars would be just fine without the silly chrome. That Lambo. looks horrendous with it, esp. with the chrome flowing over the oil cooler inlet.
 
I do get the point of why they are chrome,the don't have special racing colours or any strange decals lines because those could be implemented in a editor,while chrome textures maybe cant.
 
Great, we have confirmation of the collectors edition so I can now pre-order.

But, the 'standard' collectors edition does not contain a scale model, which I really wanted. The 'signature' CE does contain a scale model, but not a GTR :( The SLS is orange aswell, awful colour for that car.

Also, Gamestation (Who I have sort of already pre-ordered with) don't appear to have any of the exclusive pre-order cars. Which means I'll want to go elsewhere if I want a stealth livery car. That isn't a problem though, as the 'pre-order' I already have was just putting my name down for when they had more info, so it didn't cost me anything.

EDIT: I'll probably go with the signature edition regardless.

There shouldn't be any sort of chrome to begin with.

So we might be seeing cars we didn't expect at the start (a la 570-4 Superleggera). At least I hope with all the members they got working on this GT5 title.

Anyways, I do like the new liveries.

Yes I also think we will be surprised about some new cars we haven't still seen (or expect)
 
Anyone knows how to get teh Stealth R10 TDI? I read somewhere all stealth cars were pre-order bonuses, but Amazon will give me just an SLS for my CE Pre Order. I want the Audi! :D!

Why? Did you see how fast the 458 made it into GT5?

The 458 was revealed in very late July, I believe (of 2009). And we saw it already at TGS 2009 in September. That's quick, man. And they may have been able to model it months before the public's eye got a hold of it.

Now, the LP 570-4 was revealed in March, I believe. And who knows if PD is allowed early access to new cars. I would not be shocked to find out they HAD exclusive looks into future cars (like the Veyron SS, like the 458 Challenge, etc). I bet we'll be suprised to see many 2011 cars.

Or you could just get the Sig. Edition where you get all 11 specials.
