PSN I would Assume.

Is an auction house confirmed?
If I have the normal game you won't be able to sell me content from another edition.

I know this might be insignificant, but what about exhaust smoke/steam ?.Usually steam signifies a cold engine or head gasket is now molten.Black/blue smoke means impending doom for an engine.

Didn't think of that..but it would suprise me if there was no auction house.
Sounds like you need to get the Sig edition then carbstard.

Highly doubt it, maybe warning lights. But most likely, you damage your car, you go slower.

Huh? All copies of the games are the same in these collector's sets.

However, it might not let you sell/trade pre-order cars.

Why? Did you see how fast the 458 made it into GT5?

The 458 was revealed in very late July, I believe (of 2009). And we saw it already at TGS 2009 in September. That's quick, man. And they may have been able to model it months before the public's eye got a hold of it.

Now, the LP 570-4 was revealed in March, I believe. And who knows if PD is allowed early access to new cars. I would not be shocked to find out they HAD exclusive looks into future cars (like the Veyron SS, like the 458 Challenge, etc). I bet we'll be suprised to see many 2011 cars.
You do realize that we got it so quickly because Ferrari was marketing the car like crazy. GT & Forza both revealed the 458 in their games around the same time due to build hype.

That's the only reason we got that car so early & does not mean PD have secured exclusive rights to new cars.

^ You can add the Ferrari California, Subaru Impreza STI, Nissan GT-R, & Lotus Evora to name a few to introduce these production cars with PD's help. ;)

By the same token PD/Kaz gets unprecedented access to a lot of the manufacturers i.e. it's not just Ferrari that give him the 'keys to the city'.

I'm sure he is privvy to a number of 2011/2012 cars.

I already pre-ordered the Signature edition!

the only thing that really makes me think about buying a Collector or Signature Edition is the book. But i wonder if it would be possible to get my hands on it elsewhere?

These cars probably wont be anything special, the real unicorns are hidden in game :D

That really doesn't change the fact of why we got the 458, though, does it?

And the California was obviously done too quickly considering it had a mistake in its final details.

That may be, but it doesn't mean we will be seeing the 458 Challenge or Veyron SS.

FoolKiller

In fairness I'm going by similar games where you can't trade limited edition cars between non limited edition copies.

The cars are present but locked.

I imagine it'll be the same.

I maybe wrong, but it seems like you can get to choose any one of the 6 stealth cars for the CE if you preorder in EU

When does amazon take the money out of your bank guys?

Anyone know.

I know this is a dumb question, but what do you mean?

Hmm Forza Motorsport 3's Limited Edition was better value for money even though I dislike the game now.
(I'm not good enough at painting and tuning cars, So I can't make money in the Auctionhouse, The game itself doesn't give you much money when you win an event and most of the cars i really like are way to expensive meaning I can't get them and upgrade them. So I got sick of the game real fast.)

Signature Edition is a waste of money as I think It's too expensive for what you get meaning you're probably paying 40 to 60 Euros for a chance of winning an SLS, But I don't get that chance as The netherlands are excluded from that contest as far as I know, + I'm Not allowed to drive a car due to medical reasons meaning i don't have a driving licence.

The Collectors edition only has the Apex book, Nice if it was €5 more than the regular edition. But its not, It's €20 more.

So altough I really wanted a Special/Limited/Collectors Edition of this game, Especially after seeing the US Collectors edition.
I don't think I'm going to get one, And I'll probably end up ordering the normal version.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thats my rant for now, On to something more important:

A chance of winning a SLS, Sounds good doesn't it?
But is it really a Chance???

I mean, We have had 2 GT Acadamy Contest and we all know who won them and who didn't make the final 2 or 3 rounds.
If those guys are buying the Signature edition and are not somehow excluded from participating in the SLS Contest,
It's already Game, Set and Match for them isn't it?
Those of use who tried have already lost from them in the past, Do we really stand a chance this time?

Well I'm sorry to say Scee, Merc and Polyphony, But to me this chance of winning an SLS is a freaking Joke.
Including a lottery ticket in each Signature Edition whould have been a far better idee if you ask me,
But I'm intelegant enough to know why you want the winner to be capable of driving the car in real life, I bet there's a no resale contract included and you might even want to use the winner as a racecar driver driving the racing version of the SLS or something like that.

Im not too sure with what you mean... but,
Every disc will be the exact same, the cars aren't preloaded into specific discs. Therefore its on a voucher. These vouchers can be given to other (Non Special ed. buyers) buyers as well (Physically) , all they have to do is redeem it. Maybe once you redeem it on to your game, you won't be able to trade it with anyone else (Digitally within game) (Therefore there would be no need for the cars, everyone could just download that car for free). However, there's no difference whether you get a collectors, or a regular edition.

^ Yes your right, you will get a one off code in the se.
The member was saying he can then auction his car to a non se user.
He won't be able to.

I rember a while back people were complaining about cars spinning out when touching the grass in GT5

I came across this video, and grass is slippery at high speed in real life too, so stay off it :)
