Well that sucks, I was looking forward to a nice keychain and a model. Don't know if I'll bother.

I don't get it.....what happened to the scale GTR and the keyring for the collector's edition? Are there different versions for every region?

Yeah! I don't like those chrome edition cars, so it's just for the Apex book :indiff:

Wow that M3 GTS looks so damn good

Man I want a CE with just the Dynamic theme, book, 5 Chomeline cars, and the 6 Stealth models!!!!

No stealth for EU CE though :(

Where did you see that the CE won't get the 6 stealth cars? I thought the EU blog said anyone who pre-ordered would get them?

EDIT: it's OK, I've just spotted your post from a few pages back.

Am I the only one who thinks this just looks plain wrong?
At least add appropriate looking period graphics on a classic car if you have to add anything at all that is, just my opinion ofcourse.

I'm jealous. I want that wallet too.

They look a bit odd to me, slightly more cartoonish somehow - still looking very good though, but there is something different about them.
They remind me of some of the stuff we see around here at custom hot rod shows with the extra chrome and excessive polished shine. I couldn't quite figure out what the style made me think of until I saw the Shelby Cobra.

I can imagine those designs having more appeal to the US car show fans. Considering the GT Award at SEMA I can't say I am too surprised to see them take that angle with these.

I do think that chrome GT logo on the sides of the cars looks pretty sweet.

I don't want the chromeline cars, I want the stealth cars...canceled my preorder.

This doesn't look brilliant I must admit too, but the other chromeline cars are alright.

I just think that the red really doesn't suit the 300 SL, and the racing stripes make it look a bit vulgar (might be too harsh a word but...)

I'd prefer it to be just white, and if the stripes were necessary, then have them black

Vulgar isn't too harsh in my opinion as I do think it looks vulgar ( and I love the 300SL ), I would prefer if they made it look more like this one ( I know it's a different model ) as it would be more appropriate in my opinion.
But then again it's a question of personal preference and taste, just surprised PD came up with it I guess.

I'm thinking that Polyphony will do the same thing they did in GT4, and have some unique cars which will pop up in the car lots at significant points in the calendar. And that all these special order vehicles will be among them. I wouldn't be surprised. In fact, I can almost guarantee that this will be the case. Kaz has been stating that he wants to go all out with GT5, as much as he can anyway, and these unique black bodied race cars were something to look forward to in GT4.

On that point, you had better hope there are some grind races available for some quick cash, because those were some pricey rides. After racing for more than two virtual years in GT4, I only have just under 100,000 Cr in my account because of my car collecting. If there weren't any money races in GT4, collecting cars would be as much of an ordeal as it is in Prologue.

Those who don't want access to credits in GT5 should just resist the urge, and leave the rest of us to collect cars as we see fit.

Not bothered about the shelby or the old sl but I love the look of the others.

Audi R8 5.2 FSI quattro

V10 power, honestly though they could have made it pink and I would still love it.

BMW M3 Coupe

Looks just like the new BMW M3 GTS, especially with the custom rear wing. And is that a front diffuser under the front lip of the car.

Lamborghini Murciélago LP 640

What a car, one of my favourite of all time but I would rather have the sv.

More a fan of the Gallardo than the Murcie but I'm hardly complaining and also for someone who hates Audi's that R8 looks amazing..

Am I the only one who thinks the M3 looks terrible? Fancy having a bright orange paint job with chrome side skirts! Yuck!

I own a black e36 M3 so it's not brand bias either.

EDIT: Also, the wheels don't suit...

"What’s more if you pre-order your Standard or Collector’s Edition you also might be lucky enough to get hold of one of a selection of exclusive in-game vehicles including the Audi R10 TDI Stealth Model, Nissan GT-R GT500 Stealth Model, Honda NSX GT500 Stealth Model, Mazda 787B Stealth Model, McLaren F1 Stealth Model, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Stealth Model."

I presume that mere mortals without the Signature Edition will be able to buy all of these cars as DLC at some point?

Well if not I'd gladly Auction off my R10 TDI online.:P

One of the theories floating around is it'll end up like PSP, and they'll be grouped together as a free download a few months after release. I guess it's worded that way since every retailer in Europe has different pre-order stealth bonuses?

The M3 chrome-line is an odd one; it's the only one to get aero addenda, and that orange paint definitely hints at the GTS. Rims are wrong though... but it's interesting nonetheless.

Or unlocked for free as they just seem to be striped cars with minor performance upgrade. Normal verison of those cars will be on every disc?

Depends, some games do have exclusive content which noone can get unless they get the "limited editon etc". Even after release.

*edit* ignore my inability to read properly. :dunce:

Scot's will drink anything ;)

GT PSP's preorder cars were given away free for everyone at some point after release (6 months or so).

I said about this in the customization thread and we sort of came to the conclusion that it isn't the gts but it must have been influenced by it
