Swapping drivers during endurance races? Sound interesting but it also makes me wonder if the game follows the structure we know from the "GT mode" in previous games. You know, player building his way to the top by buying cars and use them to win races and even more cars. This progression doesn't really fit with the team driver rumours going on now.

Sounds like B-Spec mode to me, makes sense for the enduro races. Although maybe they will actually have an animation for it.
 
It´s for online Le Mans events like the 24H at Le Mans and the Green Hell for example.

Kazunori is a genius, feels good to know that we didn´t wait for nothing.

SONY missed an opportunity with the Signature Edition. It should have included a small barbeque and some steak, it wirelessly connects to the PSTripple and only turns on 4 hours into the Nur 24h event.

So very ecstatic to see some Vintage Le Mans machinery making its way in full splendor in GT5, NOW we can use the full straight as it was used so many years ago.

Although in general La Sarthe is much safer these days. Picture Indianapolis in the late 60's early 70's with no sandpit only steel barriers 2 meters from the road to stop you, or send you flying.

That's the environment these machines had to prove themselves on.

Still wishing for some vintage circuits tho, like the Fuji 80's, La Sarthe 70's and Nurb 60's.
 
Ugh, I really don't want driver personality, strength, or mental condition affecting races. For B-Spec Bob, sure, but I hope it only means that. I hope I don't have some avatar that represents me in the game, and has to be "trained" to drive properly.

I'm still pretty sure weather and day/night transitions won't be on all (or even the majority) of tracks. I do hope I'm wrong though.

Plus it looks like the bots have driving styles now :)
And will fatigue, so make mistakes

GT5 Interview - Weather changes in realtime while racing; Driver's management is extremely important in this game; Endurance races also have this weather feature; A-Spec & B-Spec are both equivalent in this game but they're included separately in the game

Yea, I think it will be Bob only.

And yea, I think weather won't be all tracks either. Especially if they have 60 or so tracks. I'm thinking 10 or so will have full weather.

By the way did we ever get full confirmation that all tracks will have day/night?

Day/Night transitions will be on all real world tracks as you can sync up the real world time with the game time. I really wouldn't be too suprised to see weather and day/night for most tracks, why spend the time to build the engine for it for only a few tracks?

yeah i noticed that too, in the vids the AI is on it's A game and has unique styles.

Yes but didn't GT4 require that you owned the cars used for the endurance events in order to attend these events? It wouldn't make sense that the player should offer his car for a team in GT5, B-spec mode or not. Then there should be teams offering a contract.

+ Weight + Track Conditions + Tarmac Type. I wonder if they will do like on TOCA3 when you go on grass it kinda takes a while before you clear em off and see black rubber.
