I doubt F1 will make an offical appearance with the Codemasters F1 game about to be released. Such rights are normally exclusive to a single developer aren't they?
The manufacturers of the cars are at Liberty to give PD their car for use. So there is nothing to say F1 cars won't be in the game. Whether or not F1 itself is in the game is another story. F-Nippon is not F1 so they could be in it, GP2 as well. F1 has it's own game, but the cars makes are free to do what they want.
Looks like the theory that cars that were in GT4 that have since been upgraded to Premium meant no Standard version is going to be false. We have an '03 DB9 and an '06, yet the only changes between those years were different paint options. Gotta pad those numbers!

Yes, that's what I meant. Most likely no official FIA F1 tournament but I could easily see some game events based on formula cars cars. Prologue had the F1 Ferrari after all.

Nope. There was a Sport Pack introduced around the time of the '06, but I would assume it'd be included in the name, like the SLR getting the "19 inch wheel option" appended to it. For all intents and purposes the '03 and '06 are identical. Since one's Standard and one's Premium (with more paint options), I know which one most people will choose.
If this is indeed the final Aston lineup, colour me incredibly disappointed. On the other hand... do you think PD would include every single car in the game in that list? Maybe they'll keep a few out of the book, that players have to dig for in the game.

Truly dissapointed in the Aston martin line-up.. Lets just hope thats an early shot, and maybe they have updated the book since. I was really hoping the one-77 could atleast make it (A truly impressive car), not to mention the dbs...

The Aston lineup confirms a bit of the fears I've had about this new game; 200 open Premium slots to fill in with both older classics and modern cars means we're going to miss out on a lot of cars that haven't shown up in the games yet. There's no point arguing over whether it's right or wrong, since the desired car lineup will change from person to person, but with over half the Premiums already known, it was kind of a given some marques would suffer a lack of new metal in the game. Odd PD would choose the DB9 as the one Premium from Aston though, especially considering they already had it in as a Standard.
That's possible. Aston was sold off in early 2007, so maybe Dave Richards and his Kuwaiti friends don't have a contract with PD for anything since they became independent.
