About the course designer. I would assume it comes in asphalt, gravel or mud.
I hope you can mix up the surfaces. That's my point to point sorted if we can.

Actually, it's dangerous to assume.
Oh well.

So you're thinking 2km of bitumen followed by a 1km gravel run finished off with a 3km snow run? Possibilities are endless, and I keep exciting myself too much!! That's it, time for bed.

So from what I read, A-Spec and B-spec modes will be two ‘completely’ separate games? Meaning that I if I get stuck on a particular race at 70% career completion in A-spec mode, I cannot switch over B-spec to complete that race?

Ok, let me just do a quick summary of some of the things we know so far...

  • Hands down best graphics in a racing game ever
  • NASCAR, WRC and Super GT licenses
  • 200 cars with the most incredible level of detail ever seen in a game
  • Ferrari, Bugatti, Lamborghini and McLaren for the first time
  • Daytona, Indianapolis, Monza, Nürburgring, Circuit de la Sarthe, Suzuka, Fuji and Tsukuba
  • Day/night cycle
  • Course maker
  • Damage, high/low beams, reverse lights and skid marks
  • Karting

... and there will be more!?

The Forza fanboys are running out of excuses I guess, lol.

Skidmarks + serious tires smoke + wind pulling it away = epic drifting replays!
Can't wait for it!!

Yep, all it needs is for the flame effects to return as well. I really hope they do!

You forgot Real Time weather and Racing Mod, and others such as course editor etc! EPIC

hopefully, ign claim that you can edit sector by sector, so theres a big chance of that i would think 👍 perhaps with the sliders you can slide those bits, i.e 30 % mud, 70 asphalt

I think that B-spec will be more like managing a race team, without driving yourself.

If I do remember correctly you where able to let an IA driver drive a endurance race for you in GT4.

if this is the case I'll be spendign 99% of my time in a-spec

I think that its a bit more indebth.. the article says that you can complete the game in both A and B spec modes so B Spec I think will be more involving.. It wont focus much on driving but on managing your team and driver to get them to finnish first. (eg. Pitstops, tire selection, driver lineup...)

Also when they say the driver is fetigued I think they mean that if he/she gets tired they will tend to make more mistakes and such. Like dropping a wheel off track on some bends and eventually if it goes on for too long crashing..

My thoughts on it anyway :dopey:

Edit: I dont think they will be two seperate games (A and B-Spec) I think like in GT4 you will be able to choose which races you wanna do in which mode, or switch in mid race as you could in GT4.

Taking that into account I have high hopes for the AI.

As for forza fan boys running, why they can run to GT.
I play all race games personally.

Well the good ones anyway.

Haha, see? It's so packed with awesome features that I forget half of 'em! :D

Graphics are looking insane.
But they come at a price: Tearing :irked:.

As much as I like all the great  news 👍 we're getting now, tearing is something that has concerned me since GT5P.

Just look at the new 60fps Karting video - tearing is clearly visible.
To be honest I've barely hope the release version will be much better :nervous:.

about track editor I wonder what we can do trying to reproduce real tracks like Spa

Or IGN have already broke the embargo, but didn't give enough detail to justify everyone releasing the info early.

Looks like IGN have pulled the article (about the track creator). Take from that what you will. ;)

So all the cars in the demo are premium as normal. Standard cars with/out cockpit views will hopefully be cleared up in the interview then.

incredible dust effects ! I hope that skidmarks will stick on the track and not disappear after time.

Also imagine if polyphony could realize this : night racing + rain + damage with 10+ cars on track and steady 60 fps without any slowdown ? that would be craziness if they could achieve this...but after all they got one hell of programmers if we look at GT4 on ps2, even a more powerful console at that time (xbox1) couldnt achieve a game better looking and at 60 fps like gt4 (forza 1 was graphically inferior to GT4 yet it was running only at 30 fps VS 60 fps for GT4) they have insane programmers...

Love the fact Volvo is in again! 👍

Yes, all the cars in the demo are premium. Don't turn this into a premium vs standard thread.

I would love if someone tried sticking headphones into that TV, so we can have some clearer idea about the sound quality, because while we're drowned in new features awesomeness, I'm still a bit uneasy about what will happen to the sound?(is it improved/will it be)

LOL. Incredible. It's amazing.....

Had to be a editor, because from what i can tell there is only one offroad rally course.

Wasn't trying to. Just wanting all the debates to be cleared up. Skidmarks and reverse lights are now solved, the standard cars interior view debate should be cleared up later today I read somewhere here or linked artice.

Anyway back to the videos. The one showing the tracks, I noticed Circuit de La Sarthe label on track was different than the rest in that it was not the name of the track but had something... 2009. Thought I'd mention it. Could just mean they simply finished it in 2009, gives us some insight to development time or could mean, the track is up to date for how it looked like in 2009.

Also the photo mode option looked like a development build and most likely is still being currently worked on.

I'm lovin the looks of the Ford, Jag & the Ferrari in Coolcolj's post.

I could cry of joy, just alone because of the car selection in the demo is so wonderful, everything we got in the last 11 hours was so overwhelming.

Thank you Kazunori Yamauchi and everyone at Polyphony Digital.

Firstly, I love you PD for including the Ferrari P4.

Secondly, this is the first time we have seen a Pagani in GT5 isn't it? Zonda R confirmed, epic 👍

Thirdly, is this the first time we have seen the '96 Castrol Tom's Supra in the game? This is the one from GT1 right? Awesome.

Loving Monza aswell (Is the oval still actively used for racing in real life? If so, you've got another track which will fill one of the gaps in the NASCAR calendar :p).

I'm still optimistic about Formula One and it's inclusion (Even though I know it's not going to be official). I want to see a good number of 2000-2007 cars to play around with, aswell as some of the classics (They must still have data compiled from the ones they included in GT3).

We got so much more information, so I just gotta a question, did that GT5 conference thingy already happen today?
