I need that XJ13, i just got to drive it forever.

Wait, about the livery editor...

“Probably not for GT5, though it’s certainly on our list of things to work on…”

hmmm, well i hope the get to it...not really a deny but atleast there's an interest.

Livery Editor would of been nice, but I won't miss it. I barely used it in FM3.

I agree as well. I am not artistic person so I do not enjoy that features in Forza games, but it would be a nice addition. But I think it could be a DLC or in GT6. For GT5 I hope we can at least put our own racing numbers, and even automatic Decal system to whatever part you buy, a sticker should appear of that company on the car. That would be awesome.

I do not want decal system with paint editor to be as much as this...

I want something more clean like this.

I just want Decal system and not paint editor.

Yes, but's it won't be possible to transfer all cars into race cars, only selected few because there was not enough time to make it possible on all.

And a livery editor was already denied today.

I wasn't talking about a livery editor ;)

Actually, my post revolves more around the sorts of modification seen on the tuned cars from Prologue, and on others since. I'm talking about parts. It was mentioned some time ago that the (premium) cars' body parts were all modeled separately, i.e. as a collection of complete, discrete meshes. The tuned Tuscan, seen in the Nürburgring demo, has a new front "bumper" with a more splitter-like lower section, for example. Then there's the wings, as seen from GT4. What if individual body panels can be swapped for lightweight materials? You could make a race-modded car piece-by piece.

--------------

A variable FoV is already a problem in GT5:P - watch the overhead cables in the menu for the Eiger circuit (where the start race and settings etc. buttons are) Zooming in on replays gives a similar glitch on other objects that are subject to certain effects (such as Depth of Field)
Aside from these sorts of screen-space glitches, a variable FoV is no problem on a PC because the engine is built to scale across hardware. A console game runs on one set of hardware, so most things are hard-coded, like the effects. Further to that, it presents a huge problem when changing the FoV can change the amount of scenery and other objects which are visible at any one time. It is not a trivial matter to have a variable FoV and a fixed level of performance.

Guys, I'm attending tomorrow and I will take a camera with me, so if you have requests, just PM me, though I will promise nothing, I don't know how many people there are going to be, how long I can play etc, but I'll try to record as much as I can.

Considering the only racing series that have a legitimate livery editor are NFS and Forza I do not think many people who would consider buying GT are going to be that disappointed.

If you can,and I hope you can get some footage of the Ferrari p4,its quite important that car, also some footage of the ford classic car.

Any reason why the current build at GamesCom has 8 cars max on track? I know another build is being installed sometime during the event but I thought I'd ask about it anyway.

Maybe we'll see one in PD's next Gran Turismo game? I hope. And those are some strange pics of NASCAR on Monza.

I wondered too, I mean if it's almost the final code? Hm. I guess they're just making sure the demos run well, not taking any risk of glitches or framedrops.

Thanks for the offer Alex, just get what you can dude 👍.

Yeah...I'm just hoping that the inclusion of both dynamic day/night cycles and dynamic weather as well as user created tracks and the like hasn't forced the number of cars down to 8 across the game.

It's a demo and has limited cars. It's been confirmed months ago that there will be up to 16 cars on track in the game.

I'm fully aware the game has had '16' posted on shots and in PR but I'm just a little concerned that the additional technology has negatively impacted on the figure.

Here's hoping I'm completely and absolutely worrying without any foundation.

mmmmm,a lot of you,GTP'RS,drive me mad!!stop it with complaining about livery editor!come on,today we have a lot of features, karting, skidmarks, weather changing....and you still complaining about livery editor, damn!!However, the only thing that still worrying me is the engine sound but it's early and difficult to make judgement from this bad quality videos!!

In GT4 some of us would actually chose cars to make the otherwise easy races a challenge. Some weren't happy until they got 200 A-spec points.

oh yea you could go in with a huge handicap and force yourself to max out your performance but it doesnt change the way the AI performs it just means you have to be perfect not that they have to be perfect/

Seriously... i think you are missing the important point from this game.

i dont think so, you want to feel like you are racing in similar spec cars not beastoing everyone in a similar car or having to handicap yourself just to make it a squeeky race..

Iwould be ecstatic if you could get video of the classic Fiat 500, and perhaps the XJ13. Thanks in advance!

Just seen the Monza vid of the Volvo on the home page and is that what a Standard car is. I presume it is as I wouldn't class that as a Premium.

It is Premium.

@ anyone complaining aboout AI- watch the NASCAR at Monza video. AI seems pretty tough there.

Are you saying it's rubbish?

I meant the car is more likely to be a standard car and not a premium. Not the graphics they look great (and so does the car).

Sorry, didn't mean to imply standards are rubbish. I really don't know myself.

Standards 16 on track, premium 8 on track? Reflect and discuss,

Already discussed to death, there will be 16 Premium cars at once, there is enough footage already.

Yep; there was the Nürburgring video with 12+ cars on it. Other people counted 15, 16, 17... But there was definitely more than 12, the maximum we've seen in these demos so far.

16, there was footage with 16, not more, not less and 16 cars are also confirmed for online mode. And no, I will not look for the footage again, search a bit for E3 videos (not the showfloor demo).

Doesn't mean there won't be any races with less cars though.

Yeah, abit agressive. Carl Edwards was even being himself
