If the demo is anything to go by, they have done a great job towards meeting their goals. The final product is looking to be pretty darn nice.
Judging from the demo I can pretty confidently say that Forza 3 is going to be a good game but not a great game. It will be one of the few games this year thats actually worth $60. Hell I intend to buy it but after playing Forza 3 demo and GT5P today I have to say the physics are night and day between those games. Its been awhile since I played Forza 2 but it seems to me that they haven't tweaked the physics at all since then. Also if they would work on car reflections they would have visuals close to GT5's level because the car modeling is pretty good. I am impressed with how Turn 10 is delivering on what they said they would within a timely manner but the way they talk as if this game will make GT5 look like its from a previous gen., not really close to the truth. I am slightly upset with PD, I understand they've worked very hard and strived for perfection but when they gave us official materials announcing a Q4 2009 release date and then pull this on us...it really made me lose faith in the promises that they made us. That all being said we are going to get a great game from PD that will define driving simulators from here on out as the previous iterations have but Turn 10 is going to give us a damn good racing game in a very prompt manner.
