And it's not a matter of supercars as many are saying... Yes I'd like a few more unique classic and super cars like the GTO's

But iconic small cars as well. Many of us started with those.
Renault 4, Fiat 127, Toyota Corolla (70's) Datsun 1200, Citroen AX GT and GTI, VW Polo G40, Corrado G60 VR6....

Maybe if people would read the list you would notice that most of those japanese cars are GT4 ports!

If you want to crye about something, then cry about the 11 premium ferrari's!!!!

Keep in mind people that in order to correctly model these cars PD had to get access to the car. There are tons of classics that I would love to see but locating one in good condition and gaining access to it in a reasonable timeframe may not be so easy.

The Ford Capri was a pretty sweet car. My brother-in-law had one some years back, sleek and very fast.

I fail to see your point... yes they are from GT4. Yes Ferraris are premium. Why should I cry about that?

And who's crying anyway?

I'm going to put the fanboy in me aside and look at this from an open perspective.

If you look at forza and gran turismo they have different pro's and cons.

in forza you had a nice paint scheme and all cars were premium (literally) but there was only 400 You could swap motors and do other things. As disappointed as I am that some of my cars wont look as nice or be modded the same in GT5, the list is still there.

The graphics and the physics are far superior to that of forza, how people use to complain about the tire screech in the GT series, have you listened to forza? sounds like someone strangling a rooster, and it happens even if you ever so slightly turn the car. Don't get me wrong. both are good games, both have their pro's and con's, but my personal feeling is as a simulator and what you get with 60 dollars, I'd have to say premiums and standards with real weather syncing/snow ruts/even air density? all that with 1000 cars, premium or not, wins in my book, but that's just me, we're all entitled to what game we think is better, but even tho GT5 does feel unfinished, there's just too much there to even start, and it's apparent why we got a bad end of the stick.

I figure it like this, if we lost the weather, and we lost about 300 of the cars, the data for the cars/weather could of ended up giving us about 600 premium
cars, I'm not sure I'd be willing to sacrifice the weather for that.

But either way, I just feel albeit it has a very incomplete feel to it, GT5 gives you a much better experience overall.

Yes thats true what you saying, but if your particular favorite car/cars are standard, its really hard to live with no wheel change and no interior, and then beeing not as good as the premiums, thats the really issue here. Its even worse if the standard cars cant get bodykits, lite some premium ones can.

I don't understand why the F40 is listed as a standard it is in prologue with a cockpit, list must be incomplete.

No chevrolet lacetti or kia ceed...
Guess we wont set a lap in the reasonably priced car :nervous:

Ah well, at least my own car is in (Renault Clio Sport 2.016v '02)

Why not create a website o better, a thread here in GTP asking and voting for cars (maybe it exists already)????

With DLC nowadays it will be very easy to satisfy GT fans!!

I know its not the most important thing in the world, but does anyone know about any move compatibility. If not what would you like?

While I'm generally happy (if not say ecstatic) that a) the release is finally confirmed, and b) that I will have a blast playing it for a long time, I can't help but notice that there's practically not a single car that we haven't already seen or known about on that list. There's just no model that makes you go, 'Oh, great! Who knew that would be in!!'.

Also, and I've said this before when GT PSP came out, it should be beneath PD to count the exact same car 2 or even 3 times, like they did with the S2000 (JP, EU, US versions), the Opel/Vauxhall ones and the Mazda MX-5/Eunos models. If you subtract those from the 1031 in the list, you're very close, if not below 1000, which makes me think they pushed it over just for marketing purposes. As if 950 were not enough (without duplicates).

Tracks likewise. I thought they'd put in the ones from GT4, even if they might have been only slightly upgraded, but quite a number are missing there. Counting all variations including reverse, there's 71 by my counting. (Night and weather are no variations in my book) And where's that track with the wow-effect that we haven't known about so far?

Somehow I think they have something up their sleeve which will only be discovered by playing the game up to a certain point... (which I'd be happy to discover after hours and hours of playing)

I dont think you're allowed to make new threads on this site. Every time someone makes a thread im interested in it gets closed.

key word "your" favourite car ye its gonna be hard but everyone can have they fav as a premium now can they?

GT5 will still be the best racing game out there, no doubt.

BUT the GT5 we expected will end up as GT6, and I see that coming in like 2 years.

Lets just be happy with what weve got, its still bloody amazing.

Forza 3 with its Good car lineup and customization options still doesn't come anywhere near GT5.

lol @ people crying over NOT OFFICIAL LISTS

Here are you are proofs :

Tracks list:

-no laguna seca (we saw new)
-no Piaza dell campo ( as above)

Car list:

-F40 standard
-No normal 370Z another fail right here.

EASY PEOPLE on 24 we will know everything, stop cryin and rejoice !

I don't know if there is going to be any DLC, but if there is I highly doubt it would be free.

i think there would be. DLC, sells by the bucketload, MW2 sold 17 million dollars worth i think.
Being a flag ship title, i think sony would squeeze at least something out of Kaz and his team as it will an extremely profitable adventure for them. a couple of tracks, and a few car packs.

another side note, will be GTTV be in GT5?

Simple, just go talk to Jay Leno.
