I noticed that, if you drive a generally powerful car in a race at 75% of its limit (take it you only pressed the throttle to 75%) the AI drivers also seem to slow down.

I noticed this when I kept doing the historic race car events with the buick special 62. If I cruise along I end up slowly overtaking the opposition, gaining first, until the final lap, where the most powerful AI of the lot will try hunt you down. If however I go full throttle from the start, it is a much harder race as all AI is going for it... and that 1 powerful AI usually leaves a large gap ahead from the rest of the pack.

I nailed the Deep Forest event by doing that, but Cote De Azure has too many sharp turns that my Buick can't make. I'll need to find another car for that event.

Rubber banding in action. Very noticeable in B-Spec in the higher level events :(

2 Player sucks..it needs to have all cars unlocked in the game (Standard and Premium),it needs replays and having Ai cars on the track would also be cool.........seems like 2 player was a last priority when designing the game.

I don't speak Japanese, but I couldn't find anything which looked like that?

Props to SolidSnakeX from Neogaf

Hi Everybody.

anyone know if eventually have mechanical damage in the GT mode or just be in the Online.
do not understand how can a game like this does not have some options as mechanical damage, flags, a more streamlined online etc.

thank you very much for everything

From Barcelona/Spain.

Ahhh... Gran Turismo's doing that thing again where you need a certain used car and it never shows up unlike the cars you don't need always seem to be there. Frustrating, but at least I'm making a lot of money out of it doing the American Indy Race for $98.000 refreshing the used car lot everytime.

Is this the best/worst place to post this?

I got a spare Lamborghini miura if anyone want's it :) Id obviously want something back but yeh :) No point having two of the same car. PM me if you're interested.

Preferably a ford gt40 '69 race car :D if not, it's cool :D

Yea, rally mode in GT is a complete waste of time. It's a joke.
Have you tried Richard Burns Rally?
Best rally game ever made. Real hardcore rally sim.
Dirt 2 is fun, but a little arcadey.
I remember when richard burns rally came out, one of the review quotes at the time was "porno for petrolheads" , pretty much sums it up

Richard Burns Rally is the most difficult, most rewarding driving game of any kind I've ever played. I never even played it with a wheel, well only once a long time ago and I didn't even get round one corner without going off the road. If only I had a decent PC to play it on (only got a MacBook, can't be bothered dual booting Windows to get it to work!). The rally in GT5 is lacking, mostly the tracks are all quite bland and often don't feel like realistic style rally courses. Same with the karting in fact, shouldn't there be real tight and twisty kart tracks, they're all far too wide and long for my liking, doesn't test the true skills needed with karting.

Yeah, I did years ago and it was an awesome game ! i wish they made one for PS3 though. :(

So I have a question that I would love some feedback on. I couldn't help but notice that the classic car championship is supposedly a real bastard to win. People have said that it can be done with a modded countach. Well I am not a fan of a countach, I do have the Ferrari 512BB though and I adore it. I was wandering if anyone out there has been able to do the championship with a modded 512. I would check, but I sadly Im not at home. Help?

I found the Karting advanced challenge at least somewhat challenging. I didn't drive away first try like on the others. The tracks could definitely be harder though. Online karting on custom tracks is gonna be fun.
