The far right one parked is a BMW 135i and the silver driving one is a C4, same as the one in Prologue along with the stationary BMW, I reckon so anyway.

No i dont remember that, just that cars will be transferable, how many and which was never stated.

Well, KY said:
"Cars earned in Gran Turismo PSP can later be transferred to Gran Turismo 5" (we’ve actually heard this before).

I think he means ALL of the GT-PSP cars.

But he didn't say all so there is no certainty that all cars featured in GT PSP will be in GT5. They might well be but until there is confirmation you can only speculate and you just posted a guess as fact. Considering GT5's proposed car count I agree with the idea that probably all GT PSP's cars will be in GT5 and then some but until it's confirmed we can't be sure.

****er ,that means all the car data on gt psp is also in gt5 or else it was impossble to play with them

No need for the insult you'll get reported next time. And no it doesn't mean all the data on GT PSP is also in GT5. Being anal I could tell tell you that hardly and of GT PSP's data will be in GT5 since GT runs a more complex physics engine and much higher poly count cars and tracks and higher res textures bascially GT5 is designed to maximise the PS3, GT PSP is done within PSP limitations therefore the data is not the same even for something like a car that appears in both versions. There will be cars that definitely are in both, which we know will be transferrable from one to the other but that doesn't mean every car in one is in the other. Cars that arn't would simply not be transferrable.

As of right now my policy regarding the list is that, pending further confirmation, GT4 cars featured on GT PSP will not be added to the list.

If we get information that every car in GT PSP will be in GT5, then I will add all 800+ cars.

well for one they announced all the cars from GT4 will be in GT5... soo u can add all those cars.

Jay
Show me where they announced this please.

Well, I'm not going to say that's what went down but what I will say is I think the basis for such is there.

I'd be hard-pressed to believe PD went through one-thousand entirely new vehicles in about 6 years. Not saying that's what you were implying as that isn't the case, but it's the same way I'd imagine the additional cars that are in Gran Turismo PSP, but haven't been officially "announced" for GT5 yet.

Well then we can't add them to the list there is no proof all GT4's cars have made it.

Well, if you get the license for a certain vehicle, why put it into one game and not the other?

Priorities change, new models may come along which may require attention over previous models.

I really really hope we dont get all the cars from gt4.. I wouldnt mind most of the cars in their updated years (2004 mustang -> 2010 mustang)

Agreed 👍 Would be a real disappointment to me if they do the same as with gtpsp... Than we can all drive in '02 Mazda Demio's and '04 Ford Focus :scared:
The thing with 170 new premium models and 830 'other' cars doesn't help, since many of the 170 new cars would be rally and nascar and lambo's and bugatti's. That would mean that there will be no new models of gt4 cars included.
I'm praying every day for this to be untrue...

Maybe this time they are talking about single models, not all variants differentiating themselves only by one letter on the back and alcantara instead of leather on the seats :sly:

OK, I'll keep it in mind :)

But look here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMND58RlRwA&NR=1
KY testing SLS prototype. So new car is coming to our list:

Mercedes-Benz
SLS AMG ('10)

I think it will be in the game.
1) We don't know exactly when they took the pics.
2) Since the game hasn't gone gold there is still time to add one car. Do you really think they are just going to stop working before it goes gold?

Although just because they take pictures it doesn't mean it will be in the game. There was pics of PD taking pictures of the Charger concept as well as another car for GT4 that didn't make it into the game.

Agree, and is why in the first post we have this:

"Cars in red have been seen being photographed and tested by Polyphony for the purposes of modeling and may or may not be in GT5"

The SLS AMG must be in the list!

Do you thin they're re-using GT4's car models? They arn't, GT4 used a single mesh for the car body and then added the details, GT5 usses a seperate mesh for eah body panel. A completely different modelling technique.

I agree, I wouldn't like all the cars from GT4 to be in over newer models, but in addition to then I wouldn't mind. Regarding the 170 premium models, we don't know what the premium models are but it seems likely that the premium models are thoes cars that currently support damage and it is not referring to premium brand cars like Ferrari etc.

I doubt it, it would be incredible if true but I'm confident enough that it isn't to say I'd bet my house on it.

No, I don't "thin", Quick Draw. :p

If that's what my comment suggested, that's not what I meant at all. All I meant was I'd find it hard to believe that PD modeled entirely new vehicles, one-thousand (or so) in a little less than six years. I'm sure most if not all of the cars from GT4 will be ported.

Can´t remember right now, but I did read somewhere in these forums a pretty plausible explanation for all this. PD may have recorded all cars in the same way all along - sine even GT1 - and that data is directly usable to make new models according to their current software. Would certainly save alot of time.

Ahh right, so you think they started on GT5's models while modelling GT4's simultaniousley. I think to a degree you are probably right but if there was any overlap it would have been towards the latter stages of GT4's development.
