GT5 Pre-Order Bonuses?

... and games are not returnable, btw. So, I don't think you can get all the bonus cars unless you pre-order and actually buy the game from each of the retailers. I pre-ordered from Best Buy, and I'm hoping with the 5 DLC credits I can get the other stealth models. Otherwise eh, no biggie. There -are- 1,000 other cars right?

According to who? My online order receipt mentioned nothing of the sort when I ordered. Even when I canceled, I looked over everything and saw nothing of the sort. It just says the order can't be canceled after the code is sent seeing as that means the order is being processed for shipping. At that point, no online retailer allows to cancel and order, you can't stop the process. You have to return the item after you receive it.

So where in the hell can we American's get the 787B stealth? Can you order it through the UK Amazon site? I wonder how that would work. Please if someone has info, help us 787B lovers out!

Yes I will look later today, and I am really hoping you can get the GT-R and the other 6 special cars all together... I can't remember all, but there was an M5, A/C Cobra, Mazda 787b, .. can't rememeber the rest .. I will look again tomorrow...

I honestly think if they let France release, then we should all be able too, i will tell that to the GM at Best Buy, but I don't think he will understand much of rules outside of the USA.....

At least I hope to be blowing out all my windows and speakers with the sound of the 4-rotor 787b as soon as I can get it in the game and on a track with a long straight.... :O

People are assuming TARGET since that's the only store from the gt.com site that hasn't listed a bonus car.

No, you only get one car in the US. You don't have a pick of a second. Only GAMESTOP has 2 bonus cars.

Ah yep I checked, the regular edition gives you the Nissan GT-R where as the collectors edition gives you 5 cars all together, and I will triple check to see if the 787b is one of them... I have had too many tests today at college... losing my mind... sorry fellow addicts...
 
No, the 787b is not one of them. You get CHROMELINE edition cars which are, the Lambo Murcielago, BMW M3, Cobra 427, R8, and the benz 300sl.

I see that.. but I wonder why the packaging has the 787b on it, I hope its a good mistake... sorry to get BB hopes up... I think amazon UK gets the 787b... I will look again tomorrow...

:ouch: I shouldn't have looked at the adverstising on the box rappers at the store in back... if they let me I will take pictures later today... get a final anwser....
 
wait can anyone confirm target for the usa 787b? I e-mailed them with no answer. I doubt the store would know because it says it's an online item only.

is it possible to order from amazon.uk and get a usa copy instead of a uk copy for gt acadamy and stuff?
 
That's what I'm wondering as well drago! Can we order the UK edition and get the 787B stealth here in America? Or does Target really offer it for pre-ordering through them? No answers for sure as of yet, so hopefully some info comes through, we only have about 4 days left before we can't pre-order anymore, and I realllllly want that 787B, it's the best looking stealth car IMO, love those wheels!

Pre ordering now is not what it was before. Now you actually get free stuff which draws people in. Before it was simply to be sure you get a copy on day one. Once people started realizing, some of them, that games don't really sell out anymore, stores had to come up with different ways to get people's money before they even get the game.
 
Ah, still no answer. I guess I'm stuck getting another stealth model if i pre-order. I really don't find any other as interesting as the 787B though. Those old group C cars were as fast or faster than F1 cars of the same day. With a lighter car and some improved power who knows what the 787B could have done. if it's anywhere near 1600lbs. with more than 700hp that's approaching F1 cars of today. And aero is much more efficient, all that's left is tires!

People haven't even answered my question. I'm not interested in the Stealth SuperGT cars or McLaren or SLS, I just want the 787B Stealth. Someone wanna do a trade? Or can someone help me figure a way to get it? Does anyone know if Target offers it as a pre-order bonus car?

Well, screw that idea then, no 787 from Target! I guess it's just going to be tough to find in the next couple of days. Anyone wanna do a trade so I can have the 787B? I'll give ya whatever other car u want since I haven't pre-ordered for this very reason!

Yeah, so good luck with that. If you think anybody is going to give up 5 Chrome Line cars that cost money, just to get a 787b that costs nothing...
 
ill be getting a Nissan GT-R GT500 Stealth Model which id like to trade for a nsx stealth car if anybodys intressted
 
I really want the McLaren... If anyone wants to swap either the GTR or SLS then I'll be a very happy man :)

What track at 2:30? I have never seen some of the stuff in that video, besides 2:30, it seems like there is more urban driving than one would expect in a GT game. I am not talking about all the cars coming out of the alleys and making a starting grid, but the F40 around 1:58. IS that from an official GT5 trailer or something? It looks more like driving around a photo mode locale than actual game footage.

My guess would be they are available right away in Arcade, but to use them in GT mode you'll have to buy them with in game currency. Amar also said that you have to be certain levels to buy certain cars. So I'd assume you'll have to race and save up some money to use in GT mode.
 
Gamestop just sent me a reply to my question about returns. I asked how online returns worked with bonus items and their response was that since bonus items are in limited supply, not everyone who pre ordered is guaranteed to get them. So if you don't get one, you pre ordered too late. I thanked them for answering a question I didn't ask.
 
So I gave up on my 787b dreams and just pre-ordered at best buy. The thing is I didn't see the GTR bonus mentioned anywhere. I asked about it and they said to show up early on release day because they are limited, implying they are giving them out at launch, however ive read other places online that at best buy you are suppose to get a pre-order box with a code inside.

I'm slightly worried, are you suppose to get your code before launch at best buy?
 
I'm getting the chromeline pack but it said that it may be available as DLC after release so I presume the same is true with all the other pre-order cars.
