It's something I want to discuss? I think it's an interesting conversation because no game developer has ever intentionally put so much inconsistent quality into their game before. It doesn't make me a troll just because you don't like what I have to say. I'm appalled at what people find acceptable for a triple AAA playstation 3 title, but I guess you can't change everyones opinions.

The very problem is this notion of "AAA" production, whatever the hell that means. You're being very narrow-minded, not to mention wrong about inconsistency - you must not have played all that many games.
If more developers were less elitist about their production methods, more games might have these little benefits. Instead of a game with only 200 cars, we are blessed (irrespective of what you think of them) with the possibility of using cars from the previous installment, which I frankly revel in.

GT3 would have been great with GT2's car roster.

ALUCARD0712. I´m with you 100%

Forza 4 models are indeed pretty, as any videogame today, but to call them "Fully detailed" is kind of a joke.

Forza 4 will be a "fun game". An "american-kind-of-fun" game.

But I still prefer GT5. And at least PD took a year to start selling DLC. Not as M$, wich are teasing it EVEN after the game came out.

Yeah releasing DLC right after the launch is a major rip-off............. People eat it up I don't understand. obviously held back to resell to the dumb consumer.

What is scaring me is that the Racing Car Pack DLC will be RM cars, which im not a fan of based on the pics shown. I was hoping for a new Super GT car, or DTM, or something similar. But hey Im still buying. :)

No those RM cars will be with Spec 2.0 that's why the picture was with the topic we have yet to hear what we will be getting for DLC. 👍

Okay I'm gonna ignore the hate for the Photomode crowd right now, but this 2.0 is bigger for us than most racers on GT5. The Photomode is far from useless stuff.

I'm pretty sure that is what the car DLC pack is going to be.
Well, pretty sure doesnt mean anything, why pay for stuff that should be in game from the beginning? Why cant PD be honest to us? And why did they wait for forza 4 release to bring out the dlc? If forza 4 never would have been released, would we still get these "new" featiures? Thats what people fail to realize? Aks yourself, how many of these stuff listed are really "new"?

We understand you man! But you can't not to agree that even those cockpits are nice addition to already dated GT4 models, which are soon going in to history. They just want from us to give them last chance. BTW: they drove great!

And thing that you call a "visual inconsistency" is not like God's rule, it's like easy method to judjing at first, but it has no common with reality, in witch all games are different, and including standard cars is unique decision. Such things happen, and it's okay in big games. PD have free to include all they want. At time when GT5 was released that was only choice for them. It's mainly a racing game, and PD strove for feel. Okay - you understand my point...

•Simplified interior views added to all standard cars. - Well, we had that in gtpsp, besides its "very" simplified. Again, a feature that was in previous gt games, nothing really "new"
•User control of the weather change feature. - Okay, and how does that improve that gameplay?
•Settings sheet which allows you to save multiple car settings. - Well, as far as i know, you could save multiple setups in previous gt series, to bad it took 10 months for PD to "implement".
•New Spec 2.0 opening movie. - Wow, as far as i know, many players dont even watch the intro.
•Improved UI response and usability. - Okay, dont know what that mean...
•Replay forward/rewind. - Again, a common feature, all games should have these days, not really anything value adding...
•Mid-race save feature for endurance races. - Well, good for the endurance racers, again to bad it took 10 months to get this feature..
•Expanded online lounge features (narrowing down car types, shuffle races…). - Good for the verry bad implemented online mode i guess...
•Expanded Photo Travel features (you can now take photos of cars together with your avatar). - Wow, another blinf bling feature, that really doesnt give any value adding stuff to the gameplay, its like these racing suits and helmets, useless stuff...
•Added “NASCAR Pit Scene” stage to Photo Travel. - I dont even comment on this...
•Added 11 new 2011 NASCAR models. - Okay, 11 new nascar models? As far as i know, there are plenty of other cars that are more wanted...again very strange decision regarding the car list from PD.
•Added the Nissan GT-R N24 Schulze Motorsport (the car in which Kazunori contested the 2011 Nurburgring 24 Hours). - Wow, another Nissan gtr, as if we dont have enough of these allreaddy.
•Improved physics and artificial intelligence. - Okay, improved in what way?
•Support for the Logitech G25/G27 steering wheel. - Okay, another feature that should be in from the beginning..Well, i dont se:

- Drag racing, which is a most wanted feature. I guess PD and Kaz missed the "Drag section" on this forum, and all user generated drag rooms in online play?
- Change rims on standard cars, as the rims were allreaddy modelled from gt4
- Any new car models, exept these nascars and gtr. What about popular standards beeing premium?

Im not impressed, since these features more or less was in previous games, and hence these stuff should be in game from the beginning. Another evidence that the game wasnt finished.

As far as i know... you're trollin'

You're right it would have been nice for all of these things to have been in from the start. BUT THEY WEREN'T. Would you rather they continue to be left out...? or for PD, A YEAR LATER, to continue refining the game.

As far as i know, GT5 has gotten more post release support than any title in history. Maybe that's because they release and "un-finished" game early... but i'd rather have an unfinished game a year ago, than still be waiting for GT5 to to get released.

You know what worked DAY 1, online on the nordschleife... that's basically all i've been playing for a year, and i'm still not tired of it. Its the single best iteration of that track in any game.

I hope the following cars are premium in the update:
Ford GT40
Chaparral 2J
Chaparral 2D
Jaguar E-type
Bentley Speed 8
Wv Beetle '49
Chevrolet corvette from 90's
Lamborghini COuntach

Ask yourself which of Forza "features" are new? And witch of them are really worth it? Do they even have night/wet racing? All they have is 500+ cars, which is great, but they have a permanent driving assist in it...Think about that.

A day's worth of downloading before I can play. Be aware that they are probably including the DLC in this so that others can see it but not use it until they get the unlock (like in LittleBigPlanet) so that's more data for us.:indiff:

LMAo, People complained when it launched, then when they improve it they complain it wasn't in there at launch// How can PD win with some of you? You rather they abandon it all together? LMAO.

Okay so when i critizise the DLC and list stuff that the community wants, im trolling? How come?

@ Astro_BS-AS

So you mean drag racing isnt racing? Why did they implement it in gt4 then? What makes nascar, rally, etc. more racing then drag? Change rims doesnt have anything to do with beeing a racer or not. Do you fail to see, that PD has left out a whole bunch of gt5 players because they havent implemented drag?

@ alucard0712

If you want to discuss forza vs gt, go to that thread instead.

@ MoGoSpeed

Hmm, personal insults? Keep it real or i repport you...

Ask that about forza, or insert game here..............

Why would they wait a year? Please..............

Well I read your first point and stopped there as I would argue the cockpit view if the Pescarolo and the Caterham are big improvements, sure some other cars will have the poor big black shadow as a cockpit as the first picture you get to shows but some like the two I mentioned get a big improvement. A big fast drive around The Ring its coming up in the Caterham for me with that view stuck on.

Looking at the image of the interior of a standard car, I noticed the jaggyness appears to have gone around the edges?

Am I missing something? Where does he says there will be any standard to premium conversions with Spec 2.0? o_0

It was about 2 minutes from my last post, still, I am going to crack soon. under a week for the update, Can I wait that long?

Hmm, maybe the Photomode hate, the new GTR hate, the new intro movie hate. I dont care about the new endurance or shuffle features, but do you see me going around "AS FAR AS I KNOW, STUFF'S USELESS CUZ I DON'T LIKE IT BRO."
You're trollin'.

You mean as compared with GTPSP? I think that's because it was image based in GTPSP, and fairly low-res at that, but it actually uses the model in GT5, so the resolution is effectively the same as the screen, and the anti-aliasing is more effective at that scale.

EDIT: actually, it just seems to be a product of increased resolution in GT5 and the use of antialiasing that makes it look so much better over GTPSP.
