What are you suggesting by Launch day DLC?? what would be the content of it??
I dont see why? The Game ought to be complete by Nov 2.

Technicaly speaking, GT5 is going to have Launch day DLC.

Is still remains to be seen are the both Collections of Special Cars - Chrome Line and Stealth Line - actual DLC cars, or just cars from the disc made available "earlier" (without playing the game to the point where they unlock) to those that pre-ordered Collectior or Signature Edition, but those 11 cars - and GameStop car as 12th one if I'm right - are launch-day DLC.

BTW, has Kevin Butler done his GT5 thing yet, if not when can we expect it?
I believe the videos are published circa 1 month before the actual release of the games.

I'm hoping for it too man, I'm hoping for it too.

Welcome to GTPalnet! If your Japanese is good you might be able to help translate Kaz's Twitter posts in the 'Kaz Tweets!' thread

I translate and interpret for part of my living so whenever i can find the time i'll take a look and post when I can. I've never touched twitter before, though.:dopey: I'm sure I'll figure something out:tup:

As for Kaz, he is japanese and this is usually not something they would do, they have something called a "code of honor" in their blood.

It is not his type of do such things, milking us. He is developing games because it's his duty, his passion, not for the money as the principal reason.

Unless i am ignorant and wrong... please Translator-San, will you enlight us
So are you saying it's like the sports people who say, "I do it because I love it, not because of the money"? Riiiight... In this world you need money to achieve most things. If Kaz was born into a muti-billionaire family and he produced this game for nothing and sold it at cost price, taking no salary, I would accept that he does it because it is his passion. Taking a salary and making profit for SONY, he might be passionate, but money is the reason why this franchise exists.

I don't believe in DLC for GT5 and also hope to not get them.
The game will be big enough
and Kaz need to work on GT6. I don't want to wait another 5 years!

Maybe minor updates. Like the specs in GT:P

This time kaz should show some of the LMP's!!! :)

e.g Peugeot 908 HDI FAP (already shown at le mans, france this year),
Audi R10 TDI and R15 TDI, toyota gt-one race car, lola astin martin,

I Agree with you, I really need the Audi R15 in this game!! :dopey:

Are we referring to Assassin's Creed 2 here?? :p
i totally understand you and agree too on the principle of DLC.

by the way: I like you signature 👍

A bit of a broad generalization. No? He is still a part of a publicly traded company, so realistically, we could also go with this generalization of the Japanese, based on proper Japanese expressions:

Toki wa kane nari: Time is money
Ikkoku senkin: One moment, a thousand gold

Not that I really believe this describes "the Japanese," I'm just tossing it out there as a juxtaposition to your post.

Just to be clear, racist stereotypes work both ways; pre-conceived negative traits, as well as stuff like this post, with what some might consider "positive" traits.

The tie-in with Mercedes and the extortionist price of the Signature Edition kind of runs at odds with this not being about money.

Hehe, too true. Money is probably the reason you (and I) exist...

Yep, I don't believe that KY is some kind of modern day samurai following the Bushido code.

Actually, it's in their culture, but even then it's a shame system more than honor, they must not bring shame to themselve, or family, etc. Like sins in catholicism; redemption, forgiveness, trying to repent is in reaction to being told impure, the sin system. And much like catholicism, or anything old and retrograde, each generation free itself more and more from it, not that honor isn't a good thing, but when you act out of fear of shame instead of honoring the world around because you are respectful, it's a lie altogether. Hollywood representation of the world is polarized and cultures are stereotyped, you should know that by now and do better for yourself.

I'm loving how this thread title changes in a daily basis, that's so cheerful. :D

Unfortunately. I'll be stuck at the office with no spare time to check the astonishing wave of revelation that is to come, but hopefully, our GTP news section will be surrounded in the nice scent of fresh news. Five more days to come fellas. :gtpflag:

and i will be chcking gt planet constantly that day! can't wait to see what comes out of tgs and i'm hoping that we see some footage of the weather. :D

I'm expecting PD to show off the Insight, CRZ, LFA, and HSV10.

What I'm hoping to see is some premium classics (Honda Life, anyone?), to give the Fiat 500 a run for its money.

At TGS Kaz will show us how we can use the Ps3 Move with GT5.
How to change the tires during the Pitstops or how to use the wand as an handbrake. :sly:

A japanese premium classic to counter the Fiat 500... that has to be the Subaru 360.
In addition to the "plain" version I hope to see the SS Young dual-carb 35 hp version too by the way. On Enthusia (PS2) it was very fun to drive.

Yeah, the Life Step Van manages 18bhp, and the 500 only manages 15bhp, that's 20% of advantage in a race in which the cars have almost no power at all, it wouldn't be fair.

I'd say the 360 is probably the most likely classic Japanese car to be Premium. Other likely ones, in my mind, would be one of the Honda roadsters (S500, S600, S800), the 2000GT, and probably a Skyline or two :sly:.

I'd be gobsmacked to see the BLRA-3 Skyline in premium quality . . .
