Suzuka night with rain, with new cars (LFA and HSV?) would be excellent. Though I'm not expecting that much

That would be excellent, however I think the inclusion on a non-Super GT Honda HSV depends on if Honda plans to unveil a road-going version before November. Right now, that doesn't look too likely. I'm hoping for the HSV as DLC.

Can't wait to see the standards.

No actually windshields will incorporate hairdryers that will dry raindrops before they touch the glass

This would work perfectly on go karts!

Go karts should be able to attach floppy plastic covers like mobility scooters have

LOL, SRRD, you crack me up with these new thread titles every day, im so excited about TGS, really hope PD bring down the house! :D

Bring your raincoat. The rains WILL fall heavily.:sly:

I just want a list of at least the manufacturers. I'd like to see more from the Euro tuner market like Gemballa and Brabus (especially since no Porsche still), and I would also like to see some more obscure manufacturers. I think it is wishful thinking, but like SSC, Ultima, and Tucker. Can't think of any more now......

Seventh wind : When the birds breath the sixteenth time, they will find out that they will have to get used to the area surrounding them, since it is constantly changing.

Eighth wind : Birds will sing all the melodies from another persons mind.

Does anyone else feel the quiet before the storm? We haven't heard anything. No Sony Exec saying "Big surprises at TGS" no updates, no blog posts on any website.. Kaz hasn't been Tweeting...

Silence before The storm.
@morrow we will get something new

Hmm, maybe there's nothing new? 💡

Impossible man. The greatest sim ever will be due in just over a month.
Having nothing at TGS will be impossible....:)

I also think there will be "something"...So, KAZ, drop your bombshell!!!

Well, I'm sure GT5 will have a massive presence.. but how many new features they can reveal I'm not so sure about.. probably at best we'll get confirmation of some or our supposition..

.. fingers crossed for more though :)

I don't think there will be a big "no one knew" announcement if anything there might be a full official rundown of the games contents or a showing of the t.v ad.

Welll I might've spoke too soon

Later on Thursday, we'll see what Sony Computer Entertainment Japan has to reveal. Sony's press conference begins at 1pm. Sony keeps the presentations coming later in the day with new demos from Team ICO and Polyphony Digital. Hopefully, that means fresh info on The Last Guardian, the rumored Ico/Shadow of the Colossus compilation and something new from Gran Turismo 5.

I hate Kotaku and I dont care of Kotaku news.

What If?
I just keep getting the impression PD dont go all out blowing their trumpets....

Part of their building the hype of this game has always it seemed gone in the process of teasing us with the content in small amounts and never fully disclosing things, giving just enough information that raises our eyebrows, grabs our attention but leaves us wondering also. Has this all just been coincedence or on purpose? Think about what we do know and how many times it is presented in a way that doesnt fully or clearly explain things.

Damage, Car Numbers, Track Numbers, Premium, Standard, 3DTV, Head Tracking, Weather, Game Modes, Top Gear Content, Game Features
All of these are just examples we have learned about to some degree and while not everything. We still dont know hardly anything about the game completely or that has been clearly explained.

Having waited this long the more I think about maybe not knowing so much about the game rather than that being just frustrating. Perhaps the alternative view is that in a way this is going to enrichen the experience of finally owning and playing it. Would it be more fun discovering things for ourselves as we play and make it more exciting as well than knowing almost everything about the game months in advance?

I guess if this is the case and how they are going about it rather than an explosion of info/detail of the game happening at TGS. Which it seems some of you are expecting and weve expected many times before. If indeed TGS doesnt provide all the answers could this also mean Sony/PD are likely to have NDA agreements also in place regards reviews and details about the game held till actual release date? Is this actually their plan holding peoples anticipation right till the very end?

Perhaps they want to build a high level of frenzy and do this by actually holding back information of many things about the game than disclosing them fully?

For TGS I expect more of the same.
  • Teasing of new features
  • Clarification on some others
  • More confirmed details of the game in general
  • A new exciting trailer to tease us even further

The time for teasing is over, they need to make a bang to drum up more preorders etc.

There is still way too much uncertainity....

The game will sell regardless and when TV ads etc appear before launch then they will increase the interest as well. They dont have to disclose everything or really much else about the game to actually promote it.

That's very true. I'm personally still with reservations about pre-ordering the game. However, if dynamic weather and improved Standard Cars are confirmed to be in, it's pre-order the next day after the news for me :).

I think he meant improved sound Standard cars, Or at least blackout cockpits

It's just that it's a bit late for any improvements for 800+ standard cars. We can only hope. :)

I'm still curious what he means by "improved".

What are you hoping for?

By improved, I mean smoother textures with not so blurry decals and some model updates such as making them cleaner with less vertex edges or maybe adding some doorhandles, badges, or grills that weren't previously modelled, for some more detail.

Sound updates would be nice but don't matter much to me.

The cockpit issue doesn't bother me anymore so I'm happy with no interiors :).
