Of course its not a GT killer, it was released over a year ago by a company run by Microsoft who just wanted it rushed out on a console not up to PS3 's capabilities.
It still has a better livery editor, and Porsche:tup:
And Kaz was trying to do a livery editor but either could'nt finish it or it wasn't up to scratch, it wasn't becasue they didnt want it.
Forza's livery editor does alot more than create ugly cars, it allows real life race liveries that may not be in alreay, that would be a nice little feature to have, but hey, if Forza has it then its crap or we don't need it.

I know it's not me you're replying to, but I have to ask. Why are you even upset man?

You're excuses is rather lame by the way. Yeah, Forza 3 was released over a year before GT5, so? If Turn 10 were given 5 more years, do you think they would be able to catch up with what PD has achieved. I'm not a fanboy, but I don't think they would.

And sure, a livery editor is cool and I'd like to have one in GT5, but I'll take GT5's graphics, 16 cars on track, weather and day/night change over a livery editor any day of the week.

Point-to-point rally stages will be automatically and randomly generated – you’ll have to depend on your co-driver to give you the best instructions about the road ahead.

That´s exactly what i´ve asked after Gamescon at Neogaf. I wonder if i gave them any ideas:dopey:

It´s the second time i got one of those, i also predicted 1000+ cars three years ago, it´s funny.

I better start asking for more things them, looks like it´s working 👍
 
November will bring me GT5 and my new car. Talk about an early christmas :D

That's the Schimmwagen, not the Kubelwagen which is shown in the video.
 
Where did the information about Trial Mountain and Laguna Seca come from? Has there been no info on any other tracks?
 
Even in that ****** low res video/animated picture you can see that the water moving across the windshield is dynamic. As the car exits the tunnel, the track goes slightly to the right, and the water reacts to the g-force of that action by being pushed to the left side of the windshield. I was anxious to see how the weather effects were going to be handled, and the answer is just brilliantly.

Guys, I’m so enthusiastic about GT5 release, features revealed and all this stuff… well it all makes me horny:D but one thing bothers me: I don’t know if you agree with me, or not, but engine sound in Prologue by my opinion sucked (of course not in all cars). What’s your predictions about GT5 cars engine sound?

That would be nice but apart from the fact most wouldn't call shotgun ;) does it mean headsets ( or PS-Eye which also has this function if I remember correctly ) would be needed for it to function?
And more importantly perhaps, how would a real life online navigator know beforehand all the details of a randomly created track?
I think it will just be online timetrials like real life rallying.
 
with the dynamic weather i want to race endurance races, but i dont' have time, like for a 24h race a need 50 hours, the ps3 can survive to 50 hours always on on with the disc inside?

There's a whole other thread about sound. KZ stated that it was "improved", but that's all we know.

When is the official embargo supposed to be over? A few more hours, I'm guessing? I'm assuming that's when we'll see all the shiny HD videos.
 
I would love to have Translator San as my co-driver.

If i am correct they announced today that the sound has been improved. And yes the sound wasn't always the best part of the GT series. I have good hope that they improve it just like the rest of things we heard of today.
 
I'm a little defensive over Forza, but then who wouldn't be over something they've put 3.5 enjoyable years into whilst GT5 has been in development?

If PD were forced to get their games out at a certain date, they'd be unfinished, too. T10 have a lot of scope, but not strong enough a position within the company yet to put their foot down. They have had to start on the next game already, less than a year after FM3 and whilst it lacks polish, it's still a very good game. Yeah, Greenawalt runs his mouth. He's American, it's a national trait to be ebullient.

To be honest, wouldn't you feel cheated after 5 years of waiting if it only slightly moved the game on from FM3?

And I learnt long ago that there's little point in owning one console, because there'll always be something on the other that's worth owning. GT5 is that moment for me to get a PS3. I've spent a couple of months on here, was treated like a troll at first, but that's not why I was here. After finding GT4 a bit sterile, I wanted to rekindle that love for GT. I re-bought GT2, because that game was such good fun when I was at school. GT5 is shaping up to be very good and I want it at last, but I don't see what dissing Forza achieves when it's had 5-years to put itself back at the top of the genre.
 
So, this thread started out well during and after the TGS presentation....and then the Forza bashing started. I can't say that I'm surprised, but honestly can anyone here go one hour (let alone one damn day) without trash-talking a game some of you don't own, have never played, or because you dislike the 360 for whatever reason it is that you have?
 
This is making me want to go downstairs and pop in Forza 3. :)

The only true way to experience everything is to play them both. :)
 
personally, i dont own a 360 or any forza game, but i have played them a bit at friends house, and i can say its pretty good. let me break it down for u guys
the good of forza:
-i would say a better car list and more relevant to a fan of racing like me. sure it has half the cars of GT, but imo its quality of quantity. they have porsche, which doesnt hurt, and there are not that many filler cars, which is a huge downside of GT
-the fact that 3 titles have come out during GT5's production is really a advantage for forza fans
the good of GT:
-bigger car list
-better driving physics, environments and graphics
-i would say more realy world licences and more variety of racing
