just watched the gt5 weather trailer. wow!!!!!!!!!!!! i am so amazed by this footage and cannot believe how good the weather effects look.

So, this thread started out well during and after the TGS presentation....and then the Forza bashing started. I can't say that I'm surprised, but honestly can anyone here go one hour (let alone one damn day) without trash-talking a game some of you don't own, have never played, or because you dislike the 360 for whatever reason it is that you have?

What you're asking is a bit too much for most people here, though. You're asking them to be mature.

From what I can gather, the build on the floor is the same as GC? I suppose it's possible that's done on purpose; maybe a newer build will be in place later today when PD starts dropping all of their new media. A way to avoid anything slipping out?

I'm really excited to see what else is in store, since the game must be near completion at this point.

GT5 has been picked apart, griped about, whined over, etc., all by people who "don't own" or "have never played" it.

Where is your concern over that?

personally, i dont own a 360 or any forza game, but i have played them a bit at friends house, and i can say its pretty good. let me break it down for u guys
the good of forza:
-i would say a better car list and more relevant to a fan of racing like me. sure it has half the cars of GT, but imo its quality of quantity. they have porsche, which doesnt hurt, and there are not that many filler cars, which is a huge downside of GT
-the fact that 3 titles have come out during GT5's production is really a advantage for forza fans
the good of GT:
-bigger car list
-better driving physics, environments and graphics
-i would say more realy world licences and more variety of racing

First, thanks for the great breakdown. I love how you have kept it simple for us to understand. It's great to hear about Forza in a thread nothing about it.

Second, you may like to try some punctuation, you agreed to it in the AUP.
Capital letters, full stops and the dreaded apostrophy. 'U' is also not a word.

with the dynamic weather i want to race endurance races, but i dont' have time, like for a 24h race a need 50 hours, the ps3 can survive to 50 hours always on on with the disc inside?

Of course, but who knows how PD define an endurance race? I guess there will be endurance races shorter than 24 hours.

Yeah, tell me about it. Look at the Premium v Standard thread. People have hundreds of posts in that very thread, with no one even playing the finished product.

Oh, wait... how many posts do you have in that thread again? My bad.:)
 
Just a curiosity with point to point randomly generated rally stages, I would guess there no beating or comparing someone else time score. How do you win & is it only in Arcade Mode?.

I was thinking yesterday about how far along it is. It must be done by now. I mean so close to November 2nd. The game is pretty much being released simultaneously around the world so I'm sure right now it's just being localized for every location and then off to packaging right?

I understand your idea of mature is "don't say anything negative about GT". But continue proving you don't actually have anything useful to add to the conversations.

Where's my concern over that? Are you kidding me, it's not a political issue. Everytime someone voices any type of negativity toward Gran Turismo, here comes the die-hard muppets ready to defend it to the death no matter whether that criticism has merit or not, excuses are thrown in people's faces. Yet, when someone bashes Forza...oh, it's okay because some people bash on GT as well. Fair is fair, right?

It's a game, and I have no "loyalty" to either. In fact, my loyalty lies with my wallet.

Is it me, or did Trial Mountain look, er, "Standard"? :scared:

I think I saw the old Rome layout, too - with the Takata NSX, about halfway through, just after the M5 on Laguna Seca.
 
The shot of the nose right at the end what is it? Looks formula 1ish but the front doesnt look quite right and the X1 prototype had lights etc in the other trailer so can possibly rule that out?
 
Laguna Seca has been reported to be made anew, and that Trial Mountain simply is returning. It may just be like a standard track. But still, looks good.

That means we'll be seeing all of GT4's tracks.

Just watched the E3 2010 trailer again. At the end, you see KY talking with Vettel and Newey at Red Bull. The last shot is the door closing on a 'vault' of some sort. I'm wondering if that was our first look at the X1 in there.
