Looking for the Formula GT so reading this thread to then move onto finding what day I'm on. All seems a little complicated and I'm not quite figuring out where my GT will appear.

Edit: Downloaded TornadoAlley cycle but it seems to lose it's functions so I can't generate the list. Any ideas what I can try to get it to work?

Are you using the full version of Excel? If not then I'm afraid the programming doesn't carry over to Open Office or Excel viewer. If you are using the full version of excel then you probably have macros disabled.

Feeling a bit overwhelmed about this list ever cycling back. I've been working with the databases from Famine, Fastas, Crazed Modder, and mine and the only two that match are Famine's and Fastas.

In a very rough first attempt at a master list using everyone's data so far I think optimistically that if a cycle exists it is at least 1500 days long.

Using 2007 full version. Tried as suggested but no joy. I do get this error though first if this can pinpoint my problems.

This workbook has lost its VBA project, ActiveX controls and any other programmability-related features.

Edit. Seems it's something to do with Visual basic not being installed. Followed some solutions to re-install Office only to find my CD not working. Grrrr! lol. Thanks for the help anyway, I'll leave this problem here so as not to derail any further.

Open Fastas's Spread sheet, and on the PS3 go to the used car sales section.

Sort cars on the PS3, by the date order they appeared in the showroom.

Look at the newest car on the list, and find it in the spreadsheet, make a note of the entries in the "availability" field.

E.g if you newest car was the Acura DN-X Concept, then availability would be "17,jz,pc"

Then look at the 2nd car on your list, find it in the spreadsheet, and compare the "availability" field. One 'day' should match, or be the day after, this is your current day.

E.g. pc, or pd (from above example).

Look up the Gran Turismo Formula Gran Turismo in the sheet, its "availability" is currently "kq,sb,wr,q5", and count how many days between your current day and the next FGT availability.

Mine is 63 days, and I need to earn another 3.8 million....luckily I've just got to level 23, and can run the Amercian Championship at Indy.

Ok, firstly, tell me if I start to annoy any of you guys because what I write next may have you as confused as I am.

So here are my two cars.
BEAT Version F
ESCUDO Dirt Trial Car

Immediately the Escudo grabs my attention because this is a rare car. I check the availability and since the Escudo only has one occasion then it must be easy to figure out where I'm up to, and then when the GT should next show.

Both cars have tz, so that must be where I am, on Fastas day 642? The GT turns up at sb day 592 and wr day 712. So I've missed day 592 entry but should expect the GT will be here in 60 days/loading screens?

So here's my curve ball. Three days ago, approximately 80 loading screens ago I happened across the Escudo Dirt Trial car in my used car lot. I was actually telling my lad about it's awesomeness in previous GTs and wanted to buy it then, but was in the process of saving up and cycling for the GT. It has appeared twice now in a period where I have religiously checked the used car lot for the GT but this car hasn't appeared once. I seem to be cycling Escudos faster than GTs.

confused.

I have a list (80 days or so) that is the same as yours. Mine starts at 78 for me and 45 from your list, though your 45 is quite long and I don't plan on changing it yet.

It's a bit hard to follow at first, with the way it's listed in the spreadsheet and the game being not quite the same.

Although the other list I have is not syncing with either or any list yet. This is between 600 and 700 days, so a lot of cars you have not seen yet.

I'm not terribly satisfied with the presentation of the spreadsheet right now but because of the programming I was attempting I needed to keep everything in a list form.

One possible reason my 45 is long is because I've set up my list so that when a match is found for that day it fills in the rest of the lot that is a result of previous game days (all 24 other cars or the previous 4 days). I chose to set those all to the same day but I suppose I could have it provide a different day for each hextet of cars. As you move to the next day you add those six cars and the top six cars are pushed out of the lot.

Edit:
I tried to add a couple of figures in my spreadsheet to clarify my organization. It's one of those things that makes perfect sense to me because I've been staring at this sheet off and on the past few weeks but to someone who just looks at it I can understand the confusion.

A slightly easier way to search if using Office Excel; click on 'data' tab at top, then select 'filter' and then 'auto-filter'. You should now have drop down menus at the head of each column. Drop down the 'Availability' column and select 'custom'. In the 'custom' dialogue box do a search for 'contains' (if you are using 2003) or simply enter the two letter code and enter for later versions. You should now have each of the six cars for that day. To review previous or subsequent days simply change the second digit of the code.

To check the day that the code appears (on my game at least) view the 'Day checker' tab. By comparing this day with your game day (assuming the pattern matches) you can easily determine what cars will become available, you can even renumber the days on the spreadsheet!

I will write up a 'how to use' the next time I update the data.

Fastas.

Isn't there an easier way of doing this, by checking the game day via the save file outside of the game?

Totally different things.

Yea I just looked and it didn't correlate. The issue I have is I know what the two newest cars are but I can't find what day it is since there is no day that matches both of them unless the first digit is changed (eg from nq to oq)

your day won't match his day. The days are different between people, but the list is the same.

Can you explain that please? How would I find out what day I am on if the list won't translate to my game.

There is a master list that contains the order for all of the cars to appear in the lot. The issue is everyone seems to be starting at a different spot in the master list. So the cars that show up on game day 2 for me might not show up until game day 10 for you.

However, once you find where our lists match then you know what cars to expect (the cars that show up on my game day 3 will show up for you on your game day 11).

What Fastas was explaining is how to find where his list and your list match.

I just got a Renault Avantime with a Toyota as part of a 6 car new cycle. The issue is there is no batch that gives those 2 cars of the 6.

It is possible that your hextets (each batch of six) are offset from other lists so that the Renault would show up on one day and the Toyota would show up on the next (or the day before.

I always look a day before and a day after the car to be sure that doesn't happen.

So the best way to test this is to do 1 batch at a time?

I got these 6 cars and I for the life of me have no idea how to decipher the day since none of the 6 fall on the same day.

MB SL65 AMG 04
Nissan Skyline GTS-R R31 87
Eunos Roadster S-Special 95
Lancer EX 1800GSR IC Turbo 83
RX-7 Type RZ 96
Cerbera Speed 6 97

What do I do here?

I quickly looked through the lists that I have compiled and I don't see that pattern show up in any list that has been posted here. So what you do here is one of two options
1. Wait until someone posts a list that does overlap yours.
2. Start recording your used car cycle and contribute to the cause :sly:

I'm going to try and help you guys out tomorrow by just cycling through.

Each day will retain 24 of the 30 cars, discarding the bottom six and acquiring six new ones, so you should visit the garage every fifth "day" for a wholly new garage. For this reason, this Excel file contains ONLY every fifth garage.

So one day in the Excel document = 5 days on what shows on my game save?

Every tab in Famines Excel document contains information for 5 days, because the cars stay in th UCD 5 days. He is recording what is in the UCD every fifth day.

I have these cars in the same order with my 2nd account but yours are different in that I have 2 cars that start the day.
They are :

Dodge Charger Super Bee 426 Hemi 1971 for 57176 credits and with 57060 km
Nissan 300ZX 2seater (Z32) 1989 for 24203 credits and with 77451 km
The Lancer is the last car on the same day and the RX-7 starts the next day for me.

It looks as though my 2nd account and your account are at different points in the master list compared to others and I have not seen a list that is the same as this account at all, until yours.
I don't know which day (app day 640) I have these cars but over the weekend I will work on my list more. I'm up to day 672.
Keep up a list and I'll do the same.

Yesterday I did over 5 hours of data entry and lost it all with a power problem.
Note to self..........hit the save button frequently. :ouch:

And to TornadoAlley, your list is fine the way it is setup.
Sorry to sound a bit negitive towards it.
