TornadoAlley, theres an error in you searchable spreadsheet but I can't figure out what is wrong.

If I search:

Nissan - Fairlady Z 300ZX Ver.S TT 2seater (Z32) '98 -- Mitsubishi - FTO GP Version R '97
Nissan - 240SX '96 -- Mitsubishi - ECLIPSE GT '95

It says theres no match which we know it's wrong.

Their car order # in the original list goes from 2552 to 2555

When I wrote the original program I didn't think the list would be that long (foolish I know).

Download the new version and it should work.

All 3 are prize cars but so far every other prize car has been purchasable. It would be very bizarre if we don't get these in the UCD and they exist only as prizes, also quite aggravating because I like having multiples of a car (one stock, one modified).

Ha! Thanks for that. It didn't seem that quick - I was grinding Indy for credits the entire 140 days through the gap in the data. I'm dizzy from going around that track so many times. Every time I'd get a bunch of credits built up, I'd end up blowing them on something - now that I'm looking at the UCD all the time ;) I secretly was waiting for a Toyota 7 to come along - but it never did. I have a feeling I'm not going to see one of those again for another ~200 days.

I'm curious about those three cars too. My heart jumped when I saw a Buick come up in my UCD - but it was just the GNX '87 - meh.

Technically your day 1 is matching up with the last two cars from day 7 and the first 4 from day 8 for crazedmodder. Either way I would really like to see your day 1478 (or anything after that) as that would be by far the furthest someone has been that has been matching near the beginning of the master car list.

You got it...I'll start a diary today...

I spent hundreds of hours churning Bob at DCC and burning up the UCD...I had a target list of 225 cars I wanted and completed that task a few days ago...I should have gotten into this thread a little earlier because the last 50-100 days has been fairly exciting, with the BMW Race Car, FTO Touring, R390 and C5 all showing up in a bunch....

I have an account that is 10 days away from the big blank spot starting at day 875, just under Famine's day 82 and ending at 895. I will make a spreadsheet of my own for those days and give it to you guys if no one else has found those days yet.

By the way, this list is awesome. It has saved me so much time and money not having to guess what to buy anymore. I thank you all very much.

It still doesn't work. Have you thought that maybe four cars for the search are too few given the size this monster is reaching?

That's odd. I just downloaded the spreadsheet from the google docs link and checked it with the four cars that you had posted previously and it worked fine.

I have considered needing to add at least two more cars into the search algorithm to make it more likely to work given how long this list is becoming.
 
My list - from post 1 - isn't the list you'll be looking for. It is, as it says, merely something you can use to put together your own used car list in order to help with the effort of making one master one.

And I fixed the Cube error in the car list thread stuck to the top of the forum, but not in this one since I gave up working on it quite some time ago.

I too wonder who on Earth he's talking to.

Why is deconstructing the entire used car database cheating - and who amongst us has stated that the birthday exploit and trading of any car is cheating?

Thanks 911_RS. One comment as you progress. It would really make things easier for me incorporating these into the master list if you used the master list of cars from the spreadsheet (the list over on the right).

I was doing some careful comparison to your days and it is interesting how close you were to Fastas day 532 (but not exactly) in your post with days 1474.
 
I stated up a new account on the weekend and jotted down what was in the list on day one, and on day 453 of my main account. They are listed below exactly as they appeared on the screen.
A quick look at the spreadsheet looks like my day 1 is in the big empty space around day 770 because my day 453 looks to line up reasonably well (but not perfectly) with day 1220ish on the list.

I will go home tonight and write donw more from the 2nd account to see if I can fill the gap in the list. There will be a gap though, because that game will have progressed a few days.

That makes this much easier for me, I'm a horrible 2 finger typist...I'l start copy and pasting from your master list...I'm intent on catching up to visualface's day 1550....could be interesting....

EDIT: Even more frustrating is I know I picked up the C5 about the same time that Fastas did, day 1460...but no other cars were even close to mine before or after that day......

I stated up a new account on the weekend and jotted down what was in the list on day one, and on day 453 of my main account. They are listed below exactly as they appeared on the screen.
A quick look at the spreadsheet looks like my day 1 is in the big empty space around day 770 because my day 453 looks to line up reasonably well (but not perfectly) with day 1220ish on the list.

I found where you matched up with Fastas and your early days (1-8) I don't have in the list yet. Your data is not quite complete though. I am entering what I can but Evo VI '00 doesn't tell me enough.

It would be easier for you to copy the list that I have on the master spreadsheet. You can just copy/paste the cars from that list.

Sorry about that, that one will have to remain a mystery for now (RS TM or GSR TM), I didnt realise there were multiple Evo's from each year and that one has definitely droped from my view now

It would be easier for you to copy the list that I have on the master spreadsheet. You can just copy/paste the cars from that list.

Good idea, but main problem is that generally I'm not in front of a computer when I'm playing. I will make sure I make better notes to myself and copy/paste from your list when I come to post them for you. I will keep it up until the list merges back up at your day 678 (if I havent already missed it)

Are you happy for me to post it in the same format with names copy/pasted from your spreadsheet?

I'm fine with posts in the same format with names copy/pasted from my list.

Edit: I also uploaded a new version of the master car list to include what we have so far. The gap between the end of 911_RS and the beginning of barra333 is unknown at this time.

That's odd. I just downloaded the spreadsheet from the google docs link and checked it with the four cars that you had posted previously and it worked fine.

I have considered needing to add at least two more cars into the search algorithm to make it more likely to work given how long this list is becoming.

I downloaded again and it works now. The first time I downloaded it with the old version open. Maybe that was the problem.
