At 1:55 , can anyone tell what are the cars lined up ?

From the front:

Nissan GT-R
Jaguar XKR-S
BMW M6?
Toyota GT86 x2
Nissan 370Z x 2
Nissan GT-R x5
Last four, meh, no clue
Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 (althought it's blurry, the car with that livery was at the event)
Ford Focus ST

Your right, I personaly dont own a surround sound system but my mate does and ive played gt5 there and it is much better 👍

Glad it wasn't a placebo effect! But this got me thinking. Is it that the car sounds are actually correct, but due to them trying to keep it realistic, a normal speaker doesn't have the capacity to output all these sounds? Obviously there is always room for improvement, but they aren't as bad as people are making them out to be. I've tried NFS:MW 2 with the sound bar, and it just sounds like a complete racket. Without it the cars have the pop and growl etc that people say (still unrealistically in my opinion), but with it just makes a mess. Maybe that is why GT5 partly sounds quite vaccuum like?

Wow... Man... Wow.

I KNOW mine is worse than Fegeline, it makes my favourite songs sound tinny, but I've tried better speakers. Blew me away. I know there is room for improvement; anyone got the cash to rent a cinema?

I bet that graphically, it looks like crap though.

Not on my iPhone 5 compared to my iPad 2. Retina display looks really nice, considering the game is less than 1gb. You can even hear grinding damaged body parts while the car is turning.

And why aren't you playing yet!!!!!!!

Because I don't have any of that istuff :p

Is it available for mobile?

If they can manage to pull off day/night for every track, I certainly wouldn't mind the measly 4+ new tracks. Perhaps, they were only able to add 4+ tracks because they actually do have day/night transition for them since it does add extra time to recreate with the lighting changes vs. just texture updates. It's evident because of how different static and time-enabled tracks look in GT5. If none of the tracks are static in GT6, then PD you've won me over, not that you have already though haha.

Oh man, I hope you´re right but to be honest with you, I would be happy if they manage to pull off day-night for 60% circuits, I would be happy with that! I get chills when I imagine Rome, Autumn Ring, Deep Forest or Grand Valley @ night! :p

I believe they said that it would be 7 tracks that are new to the series which means it doesn't include Seattle, Apricot Hill, possibly El Capitan and Grand Canyon rally track. AND SSR11?

There are only 3 new tracks beyond current DLC.... I am not sure how this is not known.

The numbers would not add up if that were the case. Heck they don't add up full stop but they would be even further off if there were 7 new tracks and all those old tracks.

taking the total to 33

That is the key line. Can't have all GT5 tracks, a boatload more tracks and make that number.

The UK’s famous Silverstone Circuit will be just one of seven new locations in Gran Turismo 6,

They probably mean 7 real world tracks
Even better then (I guess).

For sure we'll be getting Seattle and Apricot Hill. El Capitan is really probable. SSR11 is certain and that's not a new location/new to the series or a real world track.

We'll just have to wait and see. :\

Why do people query GT6's sound? Kaz stated (which is well documented) that the problem in Gran Turismo regarding sound is it is just "too perfect".

It must be everyone elses hearing/expectations at fault.

You're not serious are you?

haha No, he's not being serious. He's being Sarcastic.

Wrong thread, and you misunderstood what he meant AND you left out a key parts to that reply he made in that interview.

Critics often complain about the car engine sounds in GT5, claiming they sound sterile or artificial. What is your opinion on these engine sounds in GT5, and will these critics’ concerns be addressed in future games?

My perspective is that the sounds in Gran Turismo are just too real. With the recording method we use, we use a dyno and put the load on, and the sound we produce is just too accurate. I think it would be a good thing to sort of design the sound a little bit, and so that is something I would like to challenge ourselves with in the future.

What I find is that one of our themes with Gran Turismo is to create something that is real; that is what our team is focused on, but that can be an issue sometimes as well. If we see something in front of us, we try to reproduce that very accurately, and that tendency is getting stronger.

But, I think we maybe need to make things sexier sometimes, and I think that is something the Gran Turismo team might need to work on. It could also be because our team is growing in number, which could be one of our barriers to that goal.

SSR11 is not certain and you haven't adressed my point above. GT6 can't have all GT5 locations, 7 totally new locations and total 33 locations. It doesn't add up.

Most of us disagree.

The 33 total locations is what they've addressed/we've gathered from that information thus far. Did they/Kaz mention/include Seattle and Apricot Hill (and MAYBE SSR11)? I'm not sure.

Jordan
The UK’s famous Silverstone Circuit will be just one of seven new locations in Gran Turismo 6, taking the total to 33, with 71 different layouts available, 19 of them brand new.
OH, so yeah, it's what we know and not what Kaz stated. Am I right? I can't remember if Kaz said it.

The information that's been brought forth over the past two weeks are confusing. GT's official site for GT5 says that there are 30 locations and 81 different track layouts. Let's just uhh hault this conversation unless something worth mentioning and replying to is brought up. I could be the one that's confusing something, so please, address it.

I analysed all of this in the 'how many tracks' thread, sorry I can't link it quickly, on my PS3.

What? You know what certain means, surely? The map appearing in the video doesn't make it certain.

33 locations is what the official press release says and what the official GT site states. It doesn't matter which specific tracks they mentioned (Just Silverstone and Bathurst which was then pulled, FYI), GT5 vanilla has 26 locations, 7 less than they claim for GT6. So either we get 7 new locations and the four DLC tracks are either gone or still DLC or we get those four DLC tracks and three brand new ones.

With the official PD data as long as it's correctthere are no other possibilities and that is a fact.

"Certain" or not, we disagree. Most of the talk has been that SSR11 will surely be in GT6.

Does the press release take into account the "certain" for GT6 tracks like Seattle and Apricot Hill (and MAYBE SSR11)?

Four new (to the series) track locations is underwhelming :(. We know of Silverstone, Brands Hatch, and Bathurst which coincidentally are real world tracks. Hmm, like I said, all this information that we "know" about doesn't make for a factual or educated discussion over this topic. I'll be leaving this alone.

I'm not sure how much more factual you want. Official PD numbers/info:

- GT5: 26 locations in vanilla game. 30 locations inc DLC locations.
- PD state ALL GT5 tracks will return but do not specify vanilla or DLC. They do however say 7 new.
- GT6: PD state 33 total locations. Seven more than GT5. That is only possible if you count only vanilla tracks. Ergo either the four DLC locations are not returning, are still DLC or are part of the seven.

So yes, either the 33 number is wrong (unlikely, they'd have corrected it by now) or we're set for a disappointing number of truly new tracks.

I see your point. There is a high possibility were in for a big fall and having to buy most tracks for DLC.

In reply to a previous comment on the first or second page, about PS3 cars being good enough for PS4 (GT7?) I watched the video with 100 GT6 photos and was blown away and in awe at how beautiful theyve modeled the cars... Then after it was finished youtube recommended another video 'Driveclub Screenshots' and the difference left me flabbergasted... I mean of course PS4 graphics are going to be better, but it was by how much, the subtle way lighting effects and reflections made the Driveclub cars pop and had my brain trying to find flaws.

But this only made me somewhat excited... If the Motorstorm guys could create such beautifully modeled cars for a launch title PS4 game, what will the PD team beable to do two years or so into the PS4 life cycle...

Wait a minute. Drive Club is made by the same studio that created Motorstorm?
