DeifieD, You need to stop and actually look at what you've said many times here: namely that credits are easy to come by and you don't need to grind to get most cars in the game.
I've played GT since GT2 came out. The only title I've missed since then was GT5P. I've played every title to completion. I'm no "noob", though I am new to the online community, so even now I'm learning new things about past games. In GT6, the basic idea that it's hard to earn top-level cars isn't new; every game has had as a deeper level challenge that all but aliens have been frustrated by at some point. But GT5 brought "grinding" to a whole new level, somewhat with the number of cars in the game, but mostly to raise your XP to where you could even qualify to do the next event. GT6 simplified that aspect to the point of stupidity with the stars. But by GT6, we (return players) have been trained to eyeball the highest paying events requiring the least amount of effort or time. What truly exists in that realm this time? I've seen a few extolling the virtues of the NASCAR event, there's the RB challenge, and then there's the 24 minutes at Nurburgring. I know the Ring's sister events seems like an appropriate answer, but when faced with a lower payout for the use of higher-equipped cars, the 'Ring IS the answer in that group (because the cheaper the car you use, the lower your maintenance costs are going to be). PD somewhat fixed this issue in GT5 with repeatable races in the Seasonal section, and later the performance points differential bonus, but there were several single events and championships roughly on par with each other in career mode to work with.
Let me admit this now, as a US southerner and lifelong NASCAR fan, I HATE NASCAR in GT. The ONLY appropriate venues for the car in this game are Daytona, Indy, and High Speed Ring. The cars as designed are pigs and the setups are ridiculous, nothing like how these cars are actually built. I drive NASCAR in GT when required, nothing more, ever. The Red Bull/X cars....I have to be "in the zone" to actually strap one of these goofballs on. My eyes have to feel "just so" and my knuckles have to be good and loose, and I can't have thought of murder or dismemberment for many hours to "feel like" driving one of those beasts. I use the DS3, so it all has to truly come together for me to want to actually do laps with any field of competitors, AI or not. And to truly make it worth my time, I would wish to grind the whole championship series to get that bonus million. Since golding that series, I haven't yet had the health or fortitude to return. And btw, I did my 24 HOUR endurance races (in GT5) in that car, so it's not that I CAN'T do it. So now, every time I turn on my PS3, I'm faced with several 30-minute races at the 'Ring or I'm just piddling with small stuff knowing there is much of the game I paid for still sitting there in bright wrappings that I can see.....but not touch. The career level is done, I've gotten gold in every seasonal that's been available to me, I have only S5 (the Veyron) and Red Bull at Goodwood to complete to check off the whole board, I've earned some 80mil credits, spent some 30mil on tuning, and have 300 cars. To date, the Zonda R and Toyota 88 are my most expensive rides. I've never had more than 6mil in my bank.
I don't know how many players out there are like me, but I suspect a fair number don't have steering rigs, didn't get in on the glitches, and will never pay 50 actual dollars US for the equivalent of about 8 JGTC cars. So your sentiments, as stated in the first paragraph, are rather fatuous, don't you think? I'll pause while you look that up.
