GT6 Track-editor promo video?

I wouldn't think the way the track shown in this course maker promo was designed could be the same mysterious track that was shown in the Alphine VGT trailer. And no I don't think this video from 2 weeks ago is paired with the Alphine VGT trailer. Both of them are two different GT6 videos. One shows the Alphine VGT while the other is trying to promote the Course Marker. The hashtag shouldn't be ignored. Reason why is because what if the hashtag means that this video was originally released before GT6 got released? IMO that's just going to lead to a lot of confusion.

I think we should wait until @Jordan sees this or someone who knows Gran Turismo more then us gives us some sort of confirmation about this video's whereabouts, etc.
Sorry, I worded my post quite badly.

What I meant was, that this was probably scheduled to be shown at the same time as the other videos linked above, but PD or SCEE said there was a delay somewhere along the line and told them not to release it as it might confuse people/get them angry.

And you are correct that this has nothing to do with the Alpine VGT trailer, the track shown in the Alpine VGT is nothing like the above, but, unless the Alpine track gets revealed it could be seen as a course maker track from a non-final build. The track shown in the video linked in the OP is just a quick 3D mock-up.

We've seen the hidden routes for SSRX, and now this mysterious track. I know PD is known for having a 🤬 ton of content left out from the beta that didn't make it to the final product *most specifically the first Gran Turismo game* and all games outside of the GT franchise does this sort of thing but GT takes this to a whole new level. It feels like there are just tons of content from GT1 left out from the betas, demos, etc. after watching some of MattJ155's videos. So in my theory this track could be from the beta stages and the people working on the Alphine VGT randomly found it in the coding and are like "Hey let's use this track in our upcoming video for the Alphine VGT project." This may not be the best possible theory out there but you got to keep this in mind that PD has left a lot of content out from the beta stages and YouTubers like MattJ155 are discovering these contents. If Mattj155 ever had a GTPlanet account which I don't know if he does, I wish he could come here and help us out.

Hmm I think this could be a hint. It was obviously meant to be out in 2013 as a promo for the course creator, but why all of a sudden its now being uploaded. And not just out of the blue but at the same time Alphine VGT trailer came out. It could have came out last year or even right after the game was launched to show that they meant to use it but couldn't because PD delayed it. Instead it came out around the same time Alphine trailer came out. I'm not saying it has anything to do with the mystery track and the trailer..but it could be hinting at something.

What's funny is that the course maker seems to have an artistic mind of his own. The guy did 7 360s, 8 triple backflips and somehow the thing decided to create Matterhorn Short Variable D from that.

Whole PD team is - to this day trying to create a straight line. Just a simple, straight line. That's the reason for the delay.

As I can remember, Kaz said that they where still beta testing the course maker, I thought that was in summer of 2014.

With this track maker + the option to paint your rear wings + the news that the Infinity & Alpine VGT's both will be released in March, I think update 2.0 is coming. Somewhere there is another factor, Project Cars, launch date 03/17/2015, could be a devil in a box for PD.. People will consider a ps4 + project cars, or go the cheaper way and buy gt6 instead, with all this new features...

I'm just starting to wonder if the 'delayed' stuff was all a ploy to make the longevity of the game better. I don't play online (mainly because i'm not that good when racing real people! :grumpy:) so A-spec didn't last long. Just a thought!

I don't see how this video is related to Sony/PD in any way, it looks more like a cheap way to get more travel through their channel with misleading videos.

Idk if you read the thread or the news sections but its already confirmed that they were hired to make ads for SONY/PD 2 of them were already released in 2013 for GT6 launch.

You're right.

What business would a bunch of car designers have looking into GT's coding?
They wouldn't have access to the code any more than we do. Except for any betas, tech demos etc. that PD might carry around with them, but again, only as binary files running on a closed console somewhere.

Yeah, so the most likely way they've heard about the course creator is through advertising from PD.

Because, y'know, they did that.

Possibly Anonymous or Lizard Squat. Get it? It takes a hacker to look in the coding. I think those 2 hired these car designers to look inside the coding.

I know that they aren't a business and are more like an organization but for this type of situation that's usually related to hacking I had to bring those 2 up.

Well whatever. It's hard for me to come up with some business that could do this. Excuse the poor joke.
Polyphony maybe, because they did have a hand in the Alpine design's implementation into GT.

Maybe the VGT teams were part of the beta-testing that Kaz was talking about. Or maybe we're about to get another Original track. Who knows?

As for the video, that part at the end where it says "#GT6iscoming" doesn't look like part of the commercial to me, just something they tagged on to it back in 2013. It lasts exactly one minute without it.

But why the heck would they even use a track thats not even in the game or doesn't look any familiar? Something isn't right.

In addition here's some weird hidden track that jannepanne1983 posted on YouTube. Looks interesting to be honest. I'm wondering what were PD's original plans were for this unfinished track.

Obvious fake ad is obvious. Or it's so poorly done it mimics an obviously fake video. Doesn't have the Gran Turismo feel at all.

So obvious, it made the news!

They don't even have to have a clue about what demo PD sets up for the recording of a VGT video, it's just there as a prop. The manufacturer designs the car and sends PD the reference material, PD prepare it for inclusion into the game as with any other car. The manufacturer won't go near the game.

So if it was a tease, it was all PD.
PD have form with teasing.

Of course, that is what will have happened.

Just giving pokemonfan58 a more realistic theory.

They have form with this.

GT5's Honda NSX concept video for example.
Oh yeah I completely forgot about that one. Now that you brought that up, heres what I remembered. Seattle was in the trailer. Interesting. That car didn't got added up until GT6 came out but no Seattle? What was the point of hyping up fans when they discovered that the Seattle circuit *Was it called Seattle I forgot* when they never brought the track back?

"Never" hasn't happened yet. Not that I'm expecting it.

It reminds me of the Orange Julep in Montreal. Usually it's a meeting place for tuners. Don't know if they drift there though...
