Here is my two goes at it!
I've always had this very same idea
I have a photo of an Audi on the Ring, I will post it later.
By the way, great pictures everyone!
Wow! Great job dude.
Are you sure you didn't get the photos switched up? Because the GT6 photo looks more real than the real one.
No, they're in the right order.
Here is one I did earlier.

Great job guys. Keep them coming.
I´m playing other games lately (mostly rFactor 2 and FSX on PC) that´s why I am not updating this or giving it some life...hope more people keep adding more "replicates".
PS: I will do some maybe this week...I need to play some more GT.
Forgot about this thread!
Not the best, but I guess they are close enough for now!
You can see that the real one has the driver without the helmet
tried the best i could do ... will upload more later
Amazing! How did you manage to get the Viper in orange without stripes?
Photo editing mate. NB is a god at photo editing.
Are you kidding right? Those are awesome.
@rallydakar, great shot too mate.
Have always intended to re-create this particular shot that features in a number of episodes of one of the most influential shows of the 1980's. Fans however, will remember it forever as part of the iconic sequence from the Pilot episode, with a pensive Don Johnson driving his Ferrari Daytona down the streets of Miami at night, to Phil Collin's "In the Air Tonight". Enjoy
@Yui-san the Ferrari one is spot on.. and your shot looks realer than the real one.. heh?!
I think that's because racing games tend to over-exaggerate the reflections of the car. You end up with the game looking more appealing than real-life.
Real life Zonda C12:
Okay, I'll leave now.
Thanks! I guess those photoshopped reflections helped
True, but as you can see in my Ferrari shot, I actually copied over the very same reflections of the real photo onto the game photo.
Ah, It was photo-shopped. Still looks impressive, even though a little exaggerated.
But the over exaggeration thing is a bit of a problem. I'm not gonna get off-topic on this, but have you ever seen Project CARS? Looks great but pretty over exaggerated. Doesn't look very natural anymore. Just my opinion though.
I'm glad Kaz goes for the photo-realism approach. The graphics look more natural,

Here are some Le Mans racers from the 2014 Geneva Auto Show and the La Sarthe Auto Museum, together with their counterparts (not all the same, but close) in GT6
You can see more of each car in my gallery
This is very interesting to see where PD puts the shadows and highlights compared to the real cars. Most of it looks very similar, but there are a few areas that need work.
Beware of long post
