GT7 Circuit Experience Overly Difficult....

I was surprised to see I haven't completed any layout of the Tokyo Expressway. The first layout (Central Clockwise) is exactly the same layout that was used in the TT recently with the Honda Civic car. The difference being it's day time.

Finding it hard to Gold but will keep trying. It's not impossible but hard for sure.
Civic? I think you mean the Nismo 400R?

Oh yeah. The amazing 400R.
The Nissmo is not as difficult to drive as it seems, just keep in mind that you are driving relatively hard tires, these tires cannot decelerate well at the same time and still provide sufficient cornering support.
Don't choose your gear too low, decelerate less, let the car slide a little and turn around its own axis. Then you use the accelerator pedal to stabilize and align the car again. The first area of the route can be driven very well with a minimum of 4 gear, but 3 gear is the better choice for the curve after the last tunnel and the very last curve.

Mate I'm referring to the Counter Clockwise CE layout of Tokyo which has a Gr.3 car.

Well, blow me down with a feather.......! I've had the game since the day it was launched and only just found out you can put the demo driver / car as a ghost! That is going to really, really help - wish I'd noticed it before! 🤣

Yeah I didn't notice it until 4-5 months after I got the game which was October 2022. Around the 28th.

The gold times are certainly difficult but not impossible by any means either. The point of the Circuit Experience is to thoroughly master a track and if it wasn’t difficult and required many tries then you haven’t mastered the track or driving in general. Racing is hard and dangerous in real life, I wouldn’t expect the game to be easy if it isn’t easy IRL.
All controller users experiencing constant extreme under steer but nevertheless love driving and have put tons of time practicing it sure love to hear what you've just said.

Finally went for Tokyo Central CCW. Took me ~400km in two sessions with only 5 (!) completed laps (on controller). Still have to tackle normal Tokyo Central CW. Hope this one is easyer. Then only Lemans left for 100% CE before i start using DD PRO that is waiting in the corner.

I just started golding all these. Some tracks I like I've finished before the last week but mainly started doing them last Sunday. I've got Asia done. Tokyo Central reverse was insanely difficult. Autopolis was brutal. I've got Europe nearly done but for the Ring. I've got half of the Americas done. I actually loved Fisherman's once I figured it out... Lake Louise was pretty solid gold on my first lap which I'm pretty damn proud of. The rest I'll slog away at as time allows. It feels pretty good to be able to get through most of these as I have, pretty quickly and generally with really good times. Cheers all.

My update:
Tokyo Central CW was much easyer (or maybe i was used to the car from CCW) as i smashed the gold within one hour.
Lemans was difficult (comparable to Tokyo races) as i had many laps ruined late in laps (looking at you, sector 5). Took me a good 250-300km for the full lap alone. Sector 5 also took me some time.

Siting at 100% CE, yay!

I am doing all the GT7 single player content over on a new second account. I have now golded them all except Tokyo Central Counterclockwise full lap in the Scooby GT3. Can't improve on 1.14.2 with 1.13.5 needed.
Any tips?

Hi, i have golded this tokyo central counter clockwise this day... it's hard but possible with dualsense an automatic, tc2.
My tips:
First and second corners were hardest for me, with cold tires. You must be just behind the ghost in the tunnel.
Then, you must reacelerate soon in the long left corner and cut the sharp corners avoiding the wall.
Intermediate time under 40'000 is the way to win.
the rest of the track is speedy and easier. You must reacelerate in the last long left corner and it will be gone for gold.

Good luck!

God, the Watkins Glen CE is a bitch, the gold time that is. You have to be incredibly fast if you even want to try to beat it. The sweepers and the bus stop area are time-killers for my lap. It irks me when I keep having to start over. I'm trying to be patient, and just let the car do it's job, but it's hard. Durn!

Only Nordschleife and Le Mans CE:s left for 100% single player completion (outside getting all cars + 1 unavailable Cafe car). I left those last, because I read those are hardest. All sectors are gold. Laps are bronze. Only one run for other, many tries for Nordschleife. It has been and will be pain. Completing one lap is hard enough.

I kind of remember that the circuit experience for Le Mans and Nordschleife are unexpectedly easy. Because the track is so long, the margin for each section they provide accumulates into a fairly large amount over a full lap. So the challenge isn't really beating the time, it's more doing clean lap without going off track.

Are you using automatic transmission or manual? If latter, you can usually go one gear higher then the suggested one on the Nordschliefe.

The M6 has enough low end grunt to keep going.

It also has surprising amount of downforce and you can take both schwedenkreutz and metzgesfeld pretty much flat out.

I feel like the CE are more difficult since the October 2023 update. Particularly the Tokyo ones. I had trouble with the full lap with the GR3 Subaru but not with the sectors. Same thing with Mount Panorama and the McLaren. I got gold for the sectors but not for the full lap. Any of You experienced the same thing?

I can't say if they are more difficult now. I just redid all CE's on a new second account and I found most circuits easier than I remembered, but Tokyo was the hardest.
My conclusion was you really learn from the CE's and I hadn't forgotten what I learned 2 years ago. That's what probably made it feel easier for me the second time. But the Tokyo full laps are unforgiving.

yes, it's clearly more difficult.....🤔🤔

I've just started on my 3rd account, and I'm struggling to get there: I'm at 2' 05.349, I think, and it's starting to bore me...

I got the gold for my other 2 accounts, but before the change.....I went to see yesterday, I'm at 2' 05.478 and 2' 05.351.....
which means I wouldn't have reached today's gold because it's at 2'05.000......😲

few of my friends have tried it and few have succeeded.....

it's a difficult track and I don't really like it....
I quickly gave up on the TT, I'm only in bronze and that's enough for me: it's like Tokyo: I don't like walls...... it blocks me......:banghead::banghead:

I remember how happy I was when I won gold at the Hamilton challenge with the Mercedes in under 2' 03.000.....
but it was easier to drive than the 650S, faster and with less understeer......

but we'll get there anyway.....🤪😜😂

I have a few CEs left to gold. Nordshchleife being one because it's daunting and I'm not great there. Tokyo Central counterclockwise was pretty intense. Took me a few sessions over a couple days. Most of the others I could get under gold in ten to fifteen laps. Mount Panorama was two weeks of sessions to finally gold. Admittedly I was half assing it, but I managed it after many sessions. For some reason the Horse Thief Mile was also a challenge right up until it wasn't. I'm not sure why I had trouble with it like I did... GR4 Mustang isn't a bad car to drive at all but that combo I found a pain in the rear. Le Mans full circuit I haven't Golded. The sector times I made it through fairly easily but the full lap kills me. I've never been a huge huge fan of the track. It's fun but it's such a long lap with so many straights. It's just sort of boring. I know it's sacrilege to say that as it's a motorsport mecca but it's always just been rather meh. I might make it my mission this weekend to finish it though.

Anyway. Some of these CEs are pretty damn challenging but they do legitimately make you a much better driver in this game.

I agree about Lemans. Boring track. A bunch of long dull fast sections broken up by a few annoying twisty bits.

And I do think some of the CE's cross the line between "challenging" and "way too difficult."

I hope GOD @Pesselles won't see this post 😁

(I find this track boring too, and also very hard with fast cars, although it is the only track in GT I've been driving on, and watching races live)

I use to dislike Lemans but not anymore. Lemans CE helped me a lot because I did not know the track well. Every CE gets you to a point like you feel you never going to get gold but you never give up and a minute later you not only find yourself winning gold but you get to beat the times of all your friends in your friends list. But I did not get a similar experience with Tokyo CE, especially with the Subaru. I did both the BMW Z4 Tokyo last night. It was not easy but I did it. I am going to do the supra next and then come back to the Subaru to finish what I started and trying to get gold.

Now I have gold on all Trial Mountain stages except the full lap! Using a DS5 and still 0.3-0.4 seconds from gold time, I have tried for many hours and hundreds or thousands of attempts. Is it much easier with a steering wheel and which wheel is the best one to achieve the best times?
