I tried Race C at Sardegna and it was a complete disaster... I got hit and doomed to last place. Why does the game have to be so hard for a controller user like me?! It feels like they made it this way because they want to push steering wheel sales. Also, I just don't know how to get better. No matter how much I practice, I can never match the speed of the many godlike players the game so stubbornly refuses to ever stop sorting me with... How does PD get away with being so abusive like this?

Always a good day to start with a win. Did a couple of race A. First was pole to second to win. Great start. Next was second to overshoot T1, down to 3rd to end there. There was less than a second between the top 3.

Pretty fun combo but it’s seems impossible to pass unless someone makes a mistake - which in the low-mid A lobbies is less frequent.

Got a top 200 QT with a 1.44.5 but as more people jump on the race I’m going to need to improve. So far, races have been mixed A/B lobbies.

Yeah, sorry about that. It's just for the MR Group 4 cars. Would've been nice if there were more, but hey, at least it can still be fun. Better than what Group 4 races have generally been lately if you ask me.

Total shot in the dark, brake a little earlier and focus on laying on the gas ASAP, even before the apex.

Thanks, and I can try that, but the game has really hurt my confidence because I've tried so many different strategies and I still feel like I can't go that fast for some reason. It's a complete mystery what the problem is and it feels like it'll never ever be solved...

Break earlier and coast. Its not on/off gas/breaks kind of thing. When you push too hard your time suffers.

I kinda can confirm Alonso's words - in a nerdy gamey way that is. When you find the flow driving becomes flying..

Sometimes the worst thing you can do is try to figure it out. Not even kidding. Try to return to having fun with it and you will likely progress faster. Beyond that, I'd recommend running Circuit Experiences to improve car control and driving techniques. 👍

The controller isn't punishing you, you're punishing yourself. Don't do that.😁😇

Define not good, rheblast 2 seconds to the top guys is very, very hard to find, youre getting into top 5pc of the game territory.
 
Having some fun at Sardegna got me a nice 3rd starting from the back on alt account in B lobbies (got 4th twice, but also killed many times).
A '41.5ish as QT should be good enough to race Friday nyt, when I'll take the wheel again.
Ah, about Monza; let's forget Monza.🤣

There is real skill to getting off the grid in these races where you have to hold the brakes. The rest of the lobby didn't say it but I'm sure they thought I had hacked the game for launch control with the way my car flew off the line:

 
Races A and B are pretty enjoyable. I am stunned how planted an ancient 1970s barge like the Mach 1 is. You might as well be riding on velcro. Started 2 and ended 3 having to comeback after getting shoved around in Turn 1. From there it was easy to catch the class.

Much as I enjoy the Citroën, I couldn’t resist the siren call of the Mégane Trophy, the accent aigu cutting a full second off my time down to about 1:50.4. What it lacks in top end is gained massively through the corner stability and confidence. Started 9 and ended a cool 6th.

I do shamefully have to report my SR has taken a tumble after last week’s Monza and Deep Forest racing. I am hoping to work on that with greater respect for spacing. Had a bad rash recently of bumping folks from behind due from unexpected braking, being too aggressive on my end, or a combination of the two.
