Not seen yet where my QT puts me. With my luck I might end up in nonsense lobbies like the one below (this sommer)

Am having a real blast with Race C this week. The AMG '20 drives around like a dream thanks to its handling which compliments the cambered turns in S2 & S3. (There's a GT7 streamer on Youtube by the name 'TyrannoCyrusRex' who 2 days back by coincidence put up a video stating that the AMG '20 car is the anti meta for Race C. I got even more happy knowing this car has what it takes to be competitive). Am sharing that vid here so incase anyone wishes to try the AMG '20 then the vid will help as he gives amazing tips & inputs as to why the AMG '20 is worth a good shout.

This race I started in 2nd as the user who finished in 3rd was on pole. He always moves over to let the grid pass him & then he tries his best to overtake as many cars as possible till the finish.

As You can see, I finished more than 13 seconds to 2nd place. Part was me not making any mistakes such as bouncing on the sausage kerbs or overshooting at Corkscrew & part was all the cars from 2nd place were fighting each other too hard which helped increase the gap to me. In short, a race can be good or bad even if You're by Your own or stuck amongst other cars.

Believe it or not, the cars behind were so hell bent in fighting & defending against each other that by the time I pitted on Lap 7, I already had a lead of 13+ seconds to the rest. The latter half I just had to be consistent & clean which is why the gap remained constant.

Finally managed to nick under 1.40 by the skin of my teeth 😬😬😬 not sure I have much more in me but will give it a few more goes tonight between races.

Hopefully break through the 20k DR for the first time this weekend

In a B room you will be on pole or top 2 but will likely end up in A rooms as punishment.

Yeah I’m in B now and have been starting pole and just boosting that DR but I think this track suits me like BMB did.

Really happy with this tho as it was only last week or the week before that I kept getting to B and then relegated in 5 races 😂😂😂

This really needs to be seen to be been believed, though... Everything I've been calling out proved to be true, and it culminated in this tete-a-tete which truly was a battle of contrasting styles. I like to say I manufactured my own luck here, but honestly it could've gone in any direction.

The perpetrator in the purple car has been a thorn in many a driver's side over the course of the week, and it blows my mind they are still allowed in these lobbies.

Anyway....enjoy

I don't think this is correct. Do enough races back to back and it is clear the system starts to take into account a) your pole time and b) your recent results. With the same QT time and a full safety bar, I can be flipped into an all B room or a mixed A/B (these seem uncommon) or a mixed A room. I think DR/SR is the primary factor but I am convinced QT time and recent results counts.

Let's say I win 3 races back to back in a B room but I am still full bar SRS and DR B, the system says, enough of this lad, into A/A+ rooms you go.

I do think it does marginally weight, friends time and last x consistency or it tries to find challenge in ranked races where you can gain DR even down the order because the lobby DR is so high a 10th nets a DR gain

Very very well done. I enjoyed watching 👀 that back. I have come across the purple fiend as well as I recognise the name rather than the car colour.
Classic driver who sets a very sound Q time and is able to brake test and block on this track to the flag.
I’d rather be 2nd (or further back) knowing I raced rather than smashed my way to a higher place.
The disappointment is that he could win by being clean imho but is so bent on defending his track position that he is no longer racing in the true sense of the word.
Well done 👏🏻 again.

It’s great fun but super tough racing.

In the end I’m racing with A+ drivers and really if you take the lead and don’t hit a wall and the guys are clean behind you, very hard to pass

I’m off to race some dragon tail now, only so much Tokyo you can take in a sesh 😁

Just had a great race with @benjoi84 which he won from second, I was in pole, twice I had the lead, twice he had the lead, this is what Tokyo is about, even when you’re 1.5sec adrift, keep going because side by side this one is tough.

Oh and I improved my QT 😁

That was by far the best race I've had so far this week!

A couple of decisive moments, no messing or silly GT7 physics nonsense. Just pure racing and grit.

I've shared the replay on my profile of anyone wants to see the juicy bits.

I just don't understand it. According to their profile, they have full License, full Circuit Experience and over 3,000 online races as well as every car purchased in the game. It's not like they aren't able.

A Professional troll, and not someone you'd be too interested in meeting IRL, I'm sure.

It really takes it out of you, doesn't it!? Not just the battles, but that sinking feeling when you make a mistake and there's not enough road left to earn it back. Luckily positions 1 thru 6 have all been fairly fought for this afternoon.

I think our marginal quali difference shows on the track, there's been some really tight moments. With other drivers too!

I just don't understand it. According to their profile, they have full License, full Circuit Experience and over 3,000 online races as well as every car purchased in the game. It's not like they aren't able.

Good to hear buddy, was nice we left the day a win each 😁 but yeah it’s a great race whilst everyone plays ball and wants to race, I had a few earlier with your purple car which just wants to win and that’s fine, I withheld the feeling to put him in the wall 😁

For the rest of the weekend I’ll use the alt account at dragon tail, so if you all get some requests, just accept

I have been emotionally rammed 4 times for “reasons” I’ve been t boned 4 times by a person 3 places back from me.

I’m pretty annoyed right now because these are A and A+ lobbies even first race warm up should be better than that. It’s just really poor. I don’t care for the DR I race for the experience but at A in top 300 lobbies you don’t expect people to not brake at the markers. It’s pretty poor.

Anyways rant over, I’m getting tired of these type races now, not the race formats but the people who think position not racing.

And breathe Glen, breathe.

I know I know, but my racing and pace takes me to where I am.

I was just legitimately moaning, I’ll maybe post the videos or just get some better races tomorrow:

What I have woken up to is that people aren’t good at avoiding contact or braking well, if we ignore the griefer the amount of people that hit me or over/out braked themselves was horrendous and funny.

It shows a lack of control and using the brakes just all or nothing, and that’s a skill issue not a game or someone braking issue.

I’m quite annoyed with the standards across the board if I’m being honest.

“A lobbies are to fast” no that the new pace threshold.

“B lobbies are rubbish till I’m winning them” then you move up, but top of B is not top of A/A+ pace

Pace is gated I don’t like the system either but that’s how it works. You can’t win them all and brining it home is the point until you get more pace
