guys.. thanks for all advice you gave me for past few days/weeks.. I did it, in very non smart way.. went from 10.000 to 31.000 in one week ... It was insanely satisfying:) GT is best game :)

I’m wondering if I should do something similar to what I built for the TT it grabs TT data and I load that in to a serverless HTML page to crunch the file and generate a nice dashboard.

Thinking I could do this for dailies or just one of them. Thoughts?

This would be mega!!! I currently go through DG website at the moment to see where the top 1,000 mark is and then filter by DR to see where I am in different lobbies.
I’ve taken this arvo off so I can get a few hours qualifying on RBR, been a lean week racing by my own standards, no early morning ones,

Fingers crossed for next week, still nothing on race hungary
I'll be back into the races about 4pm your time so hopefully see you out there.

I just checked them as well, i hope the new norm isn't for it to be Sunday evenings moving forward.
 
I was 2/3rds through DR B at the start of the week and have now got the bar to 1mm from A by hammering RBR (generally top 6 on the grid). I don't think the game wants me to go any further, as I suddenly find myself starting 11th with a time of 1:28.7 - seems a bit brutal and if this is what DR A is like then I'm not sure I want to go there 😭

pahahah I've had the exact same journey - I think once you're on the border of A they stick you in the low A lobbies, I had two low A lobby races last night and my goodness they were the most carnage I have ever seen. Those low are are crazy buggers

Definitely can’t jump into RBR mid week, that’s not going to work, got a QT of 1.29.3xx but doesn’t feel right, those soft tyres are almost stuck to the ground, going to be a garden weekend I reckon.

Don't you love it when you ruin a great race. Final race for the week, By the pit stops there were three of us 10 seconds clear of the pack and circulating considerably faster. I was shuffled back to 7th early due to the usual barging at T3 but was now in a real fight. I was driving very hard, eeking away from the guy in 3rd and ever so slightly catching the Alfa out front. This was set up for a classic finish, I had a very strong lap 9 and proceeded to bin it at the final corner dammit.

Eiddddddiot.

Been there mate. Painful!

I looked down at my wheel for a nano second the other week at Brands and lost the back end from P1. The winner even sent their commiserations afterwards in the post race chat.
 
Yep, so easy to do when pushing too.

Anyone else have trouble with the WRX at RBR hearing gear changes? Turn one is absolutely ridiculous, you're approaching the corner right at the very top of 5th, hit the brakes and change down and it's a total damn lottery if it actually changes down or the stupid gear limitation thing kicks in. Combine this with the gear change being hard to hear and more than a few times i was going through the corner a gear higher than i'd like. Sometimes the same thing happens into turn 4.

Super, super annoying because now you run wide, so lost time, then penalty, so lost time and then exiting in 4th not 3rd so more lost time.
 
The amount of poles I’ve thrown away….especially when I’m dialled in really early in the week.

I’m pretty sure Brockie and have others have witnessed me do it countless time 🤣

On another note improved my time at Fuji

I’m really not feeling any of it this week anymore, won’t be doing 18 laps of Catalunya and tbh can’t be bothered with 13 laps of Austria, let alone 4 laps of Fiji

Embrace the chaos of B mate or come over to A and use CSA strong if you want a better race.

If you do come back to A the time is in the coasting and really thing trailing off the brakes early to keep that couple of extra apex MPH and fractionally earlier and straighter. As you know Fuji is all just carried speed and I actually love S3 for its technical parts.

But honestly I’ve not done any other races than A this week and driven a fraction I normally would even WFH days.

I can't wait for this horrible week to be over. In the end I stayed with High Speed Ring. I still think it's the worst race ever, combined with these absurd penalties. After the long sweeping corner you suddenly hit a car that's sitting in the middle of the road and you get 1 to 5 seconds penalty, not the guys who repeatedly bumped each other before the corner to gain one meaningless position.
Someone puts you in the wall? No problem, YOU get 0.5 to 1 sec.
I do my best to stay away from trouble, but I always get at least 2 penalties per race.

It took me 5 days to go back to S SR, after getting knocked down to C. Every race has been a nightmare. Every single player acts like a 5 year old.

There's no way for PD to get this kind of feedback (they only care about wall riding because they saw the leaderboards). So things with these penalties will never change.

Thank you mate, RBR seems to suit me and I do enjoy hot lapping round there as well.

urrgghhh, brutal that, I've been there a couple of times at RBR - binned it in T3 two races in a row when I was in the podium places on last lap, burns doesn't it :lol:

I was thinking about doing catalunya - did some practice laps last night, think I might actually enter on my alt account so if I get rammed or bin it I can just quit the race and not care
.If you survive Turn 3 and 4 on lap 1, Race C is pretty dang good. I like the longer races with a little strat/wear, not too extreme but enough to make it interesting, i like playing the long game.
I've really enjoyed 70% of my racing at RBR this week, been the usual frustration but it's been fun a week all in all.

You're right, the longer races are definitely more fun and interesting. I really like the fact that if you get punted or make a mistake then you have the time to make up a bunch of places and your race isn't ruined.

haha it's nearly done mate!!! we just need our Hungarian oracle to look into the future and post next weeks dailies so we can get excited about what's to come.

Tidgey agrees with the week being garbage, just watched a video of him moving over to LMU for the week.





I tell you what 29k - 30k DR is the worst place to be in the game, I hate the way PD just dumps all the scummers from A into your lobby as soon as your on the cusp of A. Just full up with SR B drivers from A lobbies that are fast but mega dirty. Took me 4 races just to not get punted so I could get a high enough finish to get back into A. First race in A was so much faster than B - had to hit low/mid 29's every lap just to hang on to 4th.

But in better news, I think my Gr initiation is over and I've found near the pace I have in Gr4, there's been some blood, sweat and nearly tears put into it :lol:

I tried the Nissan for 10 seconds on Fuji, didn't like how it handled, felt slow too on that track for obvious reasons. Plus I already imagined people spinning out or crashing. No thanks.
RBR? I very rarely do Race C. Too long for me.

I say HSR is the worst possible race because of the opponents you're matched with. They're all careless. I've seen it all this week and I couldn't believe my eyes. Players intentionally blocking on a straight line, people taking the inside of the long sweeping corner and smashing you into the wall, people not using brakes in the S section before the tunnel even if they know the Elantra is a freaking FWD, big crashes of 3-5 cars ahead... All of that combined with absurd penalties.

But the adrenaline you get is better than staring at the ceiling.

As I said above I try my best to stay away from trouble (I slow down before the sweeping corner, I don't draft a lot, I move to the side, I let people pass...) but no matter whan I do there's always someone behind to ruin your race and put you at the back of the pack.

Things got a bit better now with all opponents with S SR. But it still got shameful players who refuse to drive clean for whatever reason.

A bit controversial by recent comments but I've found the racing at HSR has been very respectful and fare.
Did about 10 races tonight all very close as long as you avoid the wall penalties, a mix of top five finishes and a few out the top 10.
If you do get a penalty with the racing so close you loose alot of places down the main straight as you take the inside line on the last corner to stay out of the way of faster cars. I always move off the racing line when taking a penalty.

And it has been very close, I finished top 5 in 2 races with 1st to 5th covered 0.6sec.
 
Yes, I finally made it to A (32,252) - stick that on my epitaph! 😆

I've got to say, I was a bit surprised to see it's already matching me with A+ drivers. But after one race bedding in DR A, I had one of my best races ever - not that I did any fantastic overtakes or anything, but just consistent penalty free good pace lap after lap - 12th to 5th and very happy with that. Of course it helped that a couple of drivers in front thought they were playing wreckfest! 😂

I never used to like RBR (or gr3), but after this week I've completely changed my mind - it's a real risk and reward track and if you want to get those super fast times then it feels like you need to be right on the edge. Looking forward to what next week brings.

Good effort mate, I saw on the leaderboard your time got a load better, I had eyed your time up but I’ve decided that won’t be happening now 😁

I’ve started to enjoy RBR 13 laps too, got myself a 5th place finish at BS from starting 9th, a lot of ppl are fighting over silly things and it’s nice to capitalise.

Well it’s that or an even longer one in the GTWS so I reckon RBR it is 😁 I’m going to put some time hunting into it and try hit a 28

I've fallen in love for this version of Fuji thanks to this combination. Sector 3 always feels like a bit much when the first chicane is there, but turning it into a fast sweeper followed by two tricky blind-apex turns mixes up the recipe just enough to transform the experience.

Not to mention I've seen some commendable race craft through that section of track, when generally that quite hard to find around there. Saying that, I've become quite good at avoiding trouble, although I'm not gonna be shy about blowing my own trumpet in saying that my anticipation and reactions have been on point this week and doubtless brought me a few places.

Got banned for 7 days for the first time ever since I started my journey on PSN in 2013 because I insulted a rammer.

I know I'm wrong, but it's so unfair to see those people ruining the races for everyone and getting unpunished, and if you say anything you can get banned.

It's seem impossible to have a clean race in the sport mode.
