A new week brings a new set of Gran Turismo 7 Daily Races, with three fresh events now live and running through next Monday, August 31.
This is the first round of Daily Races since last week’s Update 1.71, and while none of the update’s four new arrivals show up in this week’s field, the bigger change is under the hood.
1.71 brought the largest physics overhaul to Gran Turismo 7 since 2024’s update 1.49, touching tire grip, suspension, and default setups across the board. For a lot of players, this week’s races will be the first time they’ve taken that new handling model into genuine online competition, so plan accordingly.
Early impressions over in the forums’ GT7 Daily Race Discussion thread are already circling Race C at Sainte-Croix, as it will be the best place to see how the new physics affect tire wear. With a 7x tire multiplier and a mandatory switch between Racing Hards and Racing Mediums, it’s as good a proving ground for the new physics as any race this week.
The other two races are more straightforward by comparison. Race A is an eight-lap sprint in the BMW M4 ’14 around Blue Moon Bay Speedway’s Infield A Reverse layout on Sports Medium tires, with a Grid Start and False Start Check meaning you’ll want to hold those brakes until the lights go out.
Race B is six laps of Gr.3 racing around Autopolis International Racing Course on Racing Hard tires, with only brake balance open for tuning and nothing else to plan around.

Daily Races are the main ranked multiplayer events in Gran Turismo 7. Your Driver Rating (DR) and Sportsmanship Rating (SR) update after every race based on how you finish, and they feed into your seeding for the game’s flagship esports series each season.
To get into Sport Mode in the first place you’ll need to unlock it by clearing Menu Book 9 (“Championship: Tokyo Highway Parade”) in the GT Cafe, and a PlayStation Plus subscription is required to race online.
With GT7’s Daily Races rolling over every Monday throughout the game’s life so far, the next new set should land on Monday, August 31.
