Whether PD realise that or not is yet to be determined. Starting to seem like they don't.
This is where I am as well, the potential was there but the more time passes the more I have to accept it's not going to be fully realised.

In the end my wish list for 8 is annoyingly similar to my wishlist for 7; bigger online grids, more online Sport events per week, faster rotations of events, longer races using day / night transitions and dynamic weather (on all tracks), more competitive championship options for lower rated drivers etc. All of which should of been no brainers for the next edition after Sport but none were implemented, or if they have been, have not been done to their fullest potential.

I've got many, many hours of fun out of this game and well over 600 online races on top of the single player content, so I can't say I've disliked it and my money was well spent for entertainment received, but I can't help but think what could have been with even just a little more effort from PD.

Its the only Gran Turismo I truly liked due to the driving models and sure looks pretty on a 48" oled. I only attempted gt 3, 5 and 6.

It has the best bones of any game in the franchise, and the potential to be the best game in the franchise with a bit of love.

Exactly. I like the idea of what GT7 could be, with the right support and communication with the fanbase. In execution, however... well, every thread on this website since the game's launch says more about the state of the game than I ever could.
