Yes, that's true. This isn't true is it? I don't see how it could be.
I used to think this could be true for BOP events if you have worn parts on your garage car but apparently it's not according to the research others have done on Google - although personally I'm not convinced. Maybe that's a placebo effect where I've immediately gone a couple of tenths faster after changing oil but maybe changing oil in game also refreshes my brain juice in real life 🤣
Even with BoP, a car's behavior can change, for better or worse.
Wheel size can affect how a car handles. Tsubasa already demonstrated this with his tests using different wheel sizes on the tuned Honda. The wheel brand can also affect the PP rating.
I also remember the Lake Louise event with the Corolla: installing a roll cage made the car less competitive. But the opposite can be true as well.
More recently, at the Nürburgring with the old Porsche, adding a roll cage made the car much more stable. Check out my posts from about a week ago: some people gained several seconds per lap, which is huge considering lap times were around 8 minutes.
I also remember Deep Forest with the Mustang. I switched back to the stock wheels on my livery and immediately set a better lap time. That's why you shouldn't rely solely on lap times, but also pay attention to how the car feels to drive.
On the other hand, I've never noticed any difference between a stock car purchased from the dealership and the same car rented for an event. However, what about oil changes? Can worn oil cost you a few horsepower in CTM? I honestly don't know the answer.
@Barareklam Your question doesn’t really concern me, but I’d like to understand it.@half_sourly one question but if it will take you more than 5 minutes of clicking then ignore my question.. How many people managed to get Alien status ? So all TTs together, first 100 positions, Unique PSN. (those who Placed top 100 more than once, should just count as 1 Alien) ( wild guess 2500 people? am I near?) wonder what other people would guess?
Do you consider someone an “Alien” when they’ve entered the Top 100 once?
Or only if they’ve done it multiple times, or even since the beginning of the game?
