That's quite a lap time, congratulations !

What do you mean by "sensitivity 4" Where are these settings located ?

Perhaps you could share the video, thank you

It's the first option when you open controller settings, I have no idea if it actually affects wheels or just the gamepads, so I keep it on 4, bang in the middle.

Here is Sammys video

You're probably talking about the ''controller steering sensitivity''

But actually that's for the controller and it shouldn't change anything when playing with a wheel !

Thanks for the video 🙏

Success! Bronze rank on the GTP leaderboard achieved. Fingers crossed to make this two in a row with the Kart TT as well.

Hi @Tidgney

Thanks for your great guide first of all.

I noticed that in GT7 you always have FFB/Sen FFB set to 2. Would you also share your fanatec DD settings

Thanks in advance.

Much better TT this time around, though really should be CS at least you'd think, this version of the FRS is pretty sporty IRL.

EDIT: Yeah gave it a lash and the lack of grip is nuts, really un-fun car in what should be a fun one. The power oversteer is fine but the refusal to tuck it's nose in is annoying. TBH it felt awful and I do not like DF in reverse, it feels all sorts of wrong, but somehow managed gold for now, so maybe I am over driving?

Great times everybody!

Life is on turbo these day for me, and I haven't played in days! somuch going on with the new job and fully exhausted when I get home, then there is still learning to be done to get some certificates.
So I am probably in the "get save gold" mode for a couple of weeks 🤪🤣
But when it's all a bit more settled I will be back 💪😁

You know you can set alarm ⏰ 03:30 🤣sorry bad joke bad joke I know....

Odd tire choice indeed - makes it fairly unpredictable lap to lap...but overall fun (for now). Managed a 1:51.491 (with a terrible first hairpin) with an optimum of a .155, so hopefully I'm able to chip away at it enough later on...

Gave the Deep Forest TT 2 decent sessions. Was hoping to find some additional speed in the 2nd session, but couldn't find much more than what I had in the first.

Turn 2 was my problem region. 1'50.671 (5th)

Used my alternative account to render this time. Weirdly the wheel felt slightly different on this account even though I used the same settings as my main. Felt like there was less FFB clipping, could be just a placebo effect.

Needless to say I'm stoked with this time!

A 100 further laps of the Kart TT done and I'm very much firmly stuck to my glass ceiling - the last tenth was a proper pain and grind to squeeze out of the laptime, even though the optimal sectors would get me to a 1:09 flat and close to a top 100 placing - but I guess it's not the time yet.

I seem to be on a roll anyway since joining this group, looks like it will be like the third TT in a row when I improve on my best placing

I just don't get it. YOu're not running over the top of sausages, using same gears, same brake points as me and you're over a second faster. I just don't see WHERE?

Alright! I'm back from Japan. It was great trip, saw some amazing sights in Osaka, and had the most delicious food I've ever eaten. Vending machines.. the drinks are so good  Stepping out onto the street, the aromas from the restaurants, the city lights, and the people moving about, the gacha machines everywhere, the culture, the music, the cars... it's a beautiful place and I can tell its going to stick with me for a long time.

All that said, I'm happy to get behind the wheel again in GT7. An 86 time trial is fitting, given where I've just traveled from :). The 86 is one of my favorite cars to drive in GT7; definitely not the fastest but it has a ton of character to it, sort of over-steery but manageable, and the way it can dance thru the final sector here is so satisfying. I'll push further if I can... just getting a good T1 is so important to this TT, and I cannot hit anything better than a 41.8xx 1st sector with any consistency. Good to be back!!

This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

Gran Turismo 7 Online Time Trial: Pardon My GRMN

This week’s new Online Time Trial digs out one of Toyota’s rarest modern cars. Gran Turismo 7 sends the Toyota 86 GRMN ’16 around Deep Forest Raceway in reverse, running on Comfort Medium tires...

going smooth through is key ...and the 4t i gained was by more coasting . btw they can stop with those sausage TT,s hate it

did a few laps in the kart after and 1t of more in it can't nail that last corner 🤪

Morning

Back to the tarmac after a week to lap around the forest, great combo and lots of fun to yeeet around, although tire choice....I dunno 🤣

Few tenths to gain but not a bad save gold lap 😁

ABS on default felt a bit more stable on the pad for me

I’ve done the trial, spent far too many time to just about squeeze into the silvers lol! I can the livery can be purchased but I’m sure I’ve read that it’s a free option for anyone that completes the trial.

It’s still running? Once it’s finished it’ll come 👍 if it’s finished check the rental version and you should be able to choose from there, like the gran turismo movie GTR
