NEW REWARDS AND BONUSES

GTA Online will feature bonus cash of up to GTA$2,000,000 in its biggest cash giveaway yet. Starting on January 30th you can earn GTA$1,000,000 just by playing before February 5th and will be able to earn another GTA$1,000,000 by playing between February 6th and February 12th.

..aaaaaaaaaaaand now comes the general want to do something with this (and the R88 when it's eventually available) - race series, FailRace-style heist, whatever - followed closely by the inevitable disappointment from the realisation that the game is mostly dead and the few remaining active groups are basically secret society cults that live only for Heist glitching at this point.
 
I still see enough crew members on to make it worth hosting an event of some sort. I would attend. Maybe start with a car show then some kind of race playlist?
 
To be honest I don't mind getting together with the crew to do some heists as well. Randoms kinda ruin it for me. I miss the old days when we would play the heists for the fun of it even if we did stupid things or died in the dumbest ways. :lol:

..yup, as of right now, I've bought 7 (!!) more Open Wheelers - 5 of which are R88s. Send help.

but also I figured "well the game's going to shut down one day or another and then the 80+ million in the bank will literally disappear into thin air, so why not spend 20 of them on Open Wheelers of varying degrees of referencing?"

also I tried out some of the races. Seems like good enough fun if you can get a good session of people that know how to use the left trigger for things in addition to hardscoping with a Heavy Sniper, because getting Zentornoob'd before the first corner and fighting back to the point where you'd have comfortably won if the game hadn't started you at the epicenter of the Denali earthquake and lost time both on track because aero damage and in the pits because aero damage is always fun.

TL;DR if nobody else does so, I'm definitely setting up something with these cars at some point - probably a race night with the option of some pre-lobby shenanigans aka a Failrace-style Heist. Just.. don't expect anything (on here, at least) before April, partly because I want the Open Wheel Creator to have launched and people to have made some good tracks (as the R* ones are a bit so-and-so), but also because I'm kinda saving my next post for something.. it puts the "special" in "special needs" is how I'll choose to describe it.
 
So Rockstar made a few changes to the casino heist.


Meanwhile, the Titan sell glitch is still in the game. The orbital cannon glitch is still in the game. Garbage like this is exactly why I see more and more people do money glitches in the first place.

Thanks to everyone who came out and I hope you enjoyed yourselves. Things are a mess all over, and many of us need a distraction; even if only for a little while.

Tentatively, I'll be hosting another tour coming up each Saturday to begin between 930-10PM EDT. As before the room will open sometime round 9PM EDT. Of course, there are a few of us who will be on a lot more regularly than that for a while, and we are all pretty easy to find. Feel welcome to join.

So...after getting an Oppressor, a MkII, etc. with my main character, it seems I've neglected my 2ndary character

*Checks* oh wtf I only have 8 cars in the Vehicle warehouse??

*Sets up MTU lobby* here goes

oh, and won an Oppressor on the Lucky Wheel. With no unlocks in the Bunker, I need to grind those too

a flying bike with pea shooters isn't much fun

played the Motor Wars with my lowly PC account....needless to say my teams never won, but I did level up a bit and earned some decent cash
After a match got an infinite loading screen *Suspend process....resume process* and got this after it loaded

How strange, I'm literally riding around LS on a BMX right now!

Also, had a power nap earlier and now I've got an energy drink, I'm determined to make it tonight. :lol:

That's funny. I had a couple of ideas I was on the fence about, with Easter tomorrow and all, but I figured I'd go with something a little lighter in mood.

Despite being a few hours behind you, I often take a nap for a couple hours until about an hour before I open the room. I did drink a Tab today(bought a case a few months back, first time in twenty years I've had one hahaha) but often I stick to the downers when I'm on. Superstreet says they may have the opposite effect on me. I'm becoming more inclined to believe him.
 
Going to open a room in a few, probably start somewhere half hour to forty five minutes from now depending on when folks filter in. I'll send an invite.

I dunno. I think it's mostly the same old stalwarts, just that many have more free time and are now on at similar hours again.

I am still hosting tours every Saturday starting somewhere between 9-10PM EDT. I've tried to push the time up to accommodate, and as before when you move the time it just seems to exclude others. Maybe try staggering different times for different weeks, I don't know. It's mostly been the same crowd we've had in the past, which has been great to hang out again like we haven't in a long time. Not sure we've had more than one or two new faces over the past month or so. Haven't even been hosting the car shows at the close of the tours for a number of reasons including there just isn't much of a show with a half dozen cars, as well it has often been quite late, and folks are often anxious to get back to a public session to run their businesses, etc.

Haven't seen any other types of events going on here. Still pretty dead.
