It's unfortunate for sure. I at least got in quite a bit of snow playing. My best moment was when a mate randomly tried to snipe me at close range I threw a snowball at him knocking him over before he got a chance :D. I then beat him on the ground. (Made a snow angel out of him :p. )
 
When I go back online in a little while, can I have a group of people help me get a special crate? I got one in a public session, but I panicked and left the session once I got it, without reading what was inside it. It didn't contain a beer hat, which is what I wanted (Unless you have to go to a clothes store to see if it's there, I don't know).

Just make an invite only session and get 3 people to join you (4 People). Then they will spawn.

I can get you one with the lagswitch method, if I invite you to a session, know that in the session is only me and a crate is on the way to drop.

What would I have to do, other than killing the enemies and collecting the crate?

Just that, I'll even provide a Buzzard for you to fly to the crate area (I recommend waiting around by the Vinewood sign, because that's the middle of the map), the missiles do lock onto the enemies in the area.

Awesome! Will you be able to do this in about an hour or so? I have to go the store to return some clothes right now.
 
I'm regretting transferring my characters over so soon before the servers went down. Since the PS3 servers seem to be in a much better state than the PS4 servers I could've carried on doing missions and earning money before transferring them over. If only I'd known. :(
 
Hey guys, I have a quick question regarding character transfer and thought I'd ask here first before creating a new thread about it...
Do you need to use the same PSN ID from the PS3 to transfer a character or can you transfer to a different PSN ID?
Example, I want to transfer my Jav122678 character to GTP__Jav, can it be done or do I have to keep using my old ID?
I really want to retire that old ID for good...

Nope, you just need to sign in to Social Club to transfer your character

Yes
I think you have to be logged into the PS4 when you hit Character Transfer
 
Anyone on PS4 here need a Flash FM shirt, I'm in a Solo Public session and I've already gotten one from the event they were originally in, I'll give this post until 10:50 (17 minutes from now), before I collect it for the money and RP
 
I think I'm done with GTAO. I can't enter a session without there being at least one modder/glitcher ruining all the fun. Invincibility, auto aim and kill from any distance, spewing money on to the ground for other players, and assorted other actions seem to have become the norm.

Maybe I'll come back to it in the future... maybe not.

You must use the same PSN ID for character transfer from PS3 to PS4, read section 2:

I was going into PL myself until around a week ago, very rarely did I run into a modder. They are usually very easy to spot on the player list, if I saw one I would bug out. Other than to collect special crates there is absolutely no need to go into a PL, just stay in IO or closed crew session and all is well, the city is yours to rule. :)
