During the highest speed challenges online I've some some people almost hit 150mph. I'm guessing driving downhill helps but even with my fully upgraded adder and z-type the highest speed if got is 138

what would happen if a friend drives behind you, getting the slipstream, and therefore pushing you faster

How did you work that figure out? Are you going by the vehicles speedometer?

Some questions for current gen players...
If I have a rusty voodoo in a two tone paint will it stay two tone after restoration?
If I mod a Buccaneer at Benny's can I keep the hardtop on?
Do performance parts remain if they are already on the car before bringing it into Benny's to make it a lowrider or will I need to repurchase the stage 4 engine,etc.,etc.?

Yes, I believe. upgrading it just removes the rust and enables you to buy the upgrades from Benny's.

Yes.

I modded mine at Benny's and then took it to LSC, but I would assume performance mods remain on. Who knows though, since it does technically change your car from a Voodoo to a Voodoo (Custom). I would recommend lowrider mods first, then performance.

  1. Not sure, I would guess it does as other parts remain after the 'custom' conversion.
  2. You can purchase a roof, not expensive - can get a painted one or a black vinyl one.
  3. Pretty sure they will be there after the 'custom' conversion as rims definitely remain.

Yes performance mods stay on. I modded a Faction at LSC, then decided to make it a lowrider at Benny's. All the LSC mods stayed on the car, even the wheels.

and what also can be the problem is what i read elsewhere, and am experiencing myself a bit,

controller wear

i have 2 controllers and on 1 the right trigger is beginning to malfunction, noticed it first when i tried to make donuts.
wouldn't work unless i squeezed the trigger a bit harder and a tiny bit "inwards" (to the left).

so when "normally" pressed it wasn't at full throttle at all.

I had exactly the same issue.

With regards to the performance differences. I would say its mostly a placebo thing - I dont believe different tyres affect the handling, the only exception the is off-road wheels dealing with kerbs with less drama. If you put custom tyres on and expect it to handle better, then in your mind it will.

If you're a competent DIY enthusiast then you'll be surprised what taking a controller apart and giving it a good clean and making sure all the contacts and rubber bits are still seated correctly can result in.

As long as you don't lose any bits and especially the trigger springs! (i won't be held responsible for any destroyed controllers) 👍 :P

leave out competent :D

i have taken apart and reassembled all sorts of things in my life, always ending up with some unused parts, but most of the time a working device again ;)

but i'm considering buying 2 "heavy duty" aftermarket, get your controller back up in better tip top shape again, reconstruction kits, which would take care of the problem

I'm not sure how credible that would be considering he doesn't back it up and there was still a lot of sketchy information around that time.

always worth giving it a try, 2 players, 2 mostly identical setups, create a drag race on the airfield. for start both keep trigger pressed completely to rule out reaction time.

My R2 broke on my PS4 controller, and I often wonder if the button is 100% down now.

Any way to test this? I used burnouts. From a launch at 100% down, my Sabre smokes the tires. Just a little above it and there isn't. I had similar results with a fully functional controller. Here's what I did to fix my R2 button.

Can anyone tell me if that would cause problems with fully pressing the button?

you can test via windows 8 i found

tried connecting mine to my win-7 but it would find it as a generic device... couldn't test it...

I unfortunately have Windows 7 still.

Not that it matters, I've won races with the controller, so it can't be that far from 100% anyway.

HA ! had the controller with the fault in my hand, tested it again and yes i had to press very hard and a bit crooked for a burnout in a zentorno.

now i have a powered on, disassembled controller in front of me :D

now the R2 seems to be working correctly again. everything lined up again and blown free of dust.

1. No. Paint is removed. Becomes a full out Cream paintjob.

2. Applying Benny's custom option to a Buccaneer removes the vinyl roof. Don't know if there is an option to add it. Pretty sure there isn't.

3. Performance parts remain.
