I'm a simple man. I see Gauntlet Classic, I instantly become as ridiculously hyped as everyone else did at the mere mention of the word "casino".

Now watch my luck come into play and have that be the last of the dripfeed and not have *those* modifications.

You are only able to play the spin the wheel game once per real life day, not a GTAO day unfortunately.

Well, gambling is region locked in Greece. :indiff:

At least the casino, penthouse etc. look great! I've only gotten the penthouse (maxed) so far, I think I'll have to start selling my second character's Deluxos if I want to get the most out of this update :D

I suppose I should load up for the first time in around a year. Here's hoping the game has been autoupdating or my router is going to overheat in this heatwave.

It’s kind of amusing to see the passive changes are the most well received additions but that’s a good thing. Looks like a solid update.

The casino missions pay out 50k each, 100k for the final one and 500k for completing them all as host. I also got a free Paragon (armoured) for completing them.
Note: the missions are a lot more challenging than standard contact missions. Also, if you lose all your lives and somebody dies then the mission fails, even if some players are still alive.

Yeah check your transaction history on the maze website when you re-enter free roam.

Finale is tough when you go steaming in all guns blazing with only @Jahgee as a partner :P
There is also a Jug in one of the missions but it only took one rpg to take him down.

Huh, it's almost like this approach has had less than stellar results in past as well. Still haven't learned your lesson, eh? :P

Is the Arena War stuff worth it at all? I wanna get rid of the annoying phone calls but the only vehicle i have any real interest in is the Dominator.

From what I’ve heard, very few people still play the AW missions. So if you were looking to play them, you might be out of luck unless you have friends willing to play.

Sooo...how is the casino?
About the most realistic thing in any GTA; the house will always find a way to screw you. Esp. Blackjack where the more you start to bet, the more the dealer has the most insane "luck". Oh, you got 19? Dealer's about to draw 20. And you can expect this sort of literal 1-uping multiple times in a row. Hey, you're sitting on a 14 and questioning whether you should hit or stand? Peak at the dealer. If they've got a 5 showing, you're screwed; you either bust or stand and they flip over a 10/face card either way.

But, people at se7ensins are already applying the old technique of closing the game before you officially lose or get something on the wheel you don't want so you lose nothing.

I don't think it's just rigged to give the dealer ridiculous luck, it's also occasionally rigged to give you ridiculous win streaks so that you get overconfident. Went from 20k to 200k chips in a ridiculous run of 'good luck' yesterday before losing 100k from a greedy double down bet.

True. The game seems to also like if you play it safe and watch you get more and more riskier. Then it just snatches away your money.

Like I said, the most realistic thing in GTA.

I don't know if there is any truth in it but I found I was more lucky at my private dealer in the penthouse.

And I know pain too. I went up to 400k 2 days ago. Today I blew the lot.

I spun the wheel and disconnected the internet until I won the Thrax (3 attempts). It has some cool mods but it feels so slow. Not a fan tbh.
I wonder if the podium car will cycle through the new dlc cars, either way its a guaranteed free car every week.

While in top speed it’s not a class leader, it’s pretty solid car through the turns as GTA’s resident stig found out :P

While he still recommends the Vagner as the better all rounder, the Thrax can keep pace with it and the S80RR around a technical track is the new Supercar class king. 👍
