My character mysteriously returned with everything intact for some bizarre reason when I tryed to sign into multiplayer today.

If it holds up, I'm up for some jobs with Kitten and co.
 
Question for anyone that might have tried this:

To unlock performance part upgrades in LSCustoms you need to win "X" amount of races in that vehicle class.

Races can be entered by yourself you don't need a 2nd player. (I think?)

Can I just race on my own to "win" and unlock the parts?

Try it and let us know, I'd be surprised but stranger things have happened.

So, cloud servers up or down at the moment? I made a new character this morning, probably a bit of a rash move given that a) I only had time to do the race before I had to leave for the day and b) there was the possibility they'd fix something while I was gone, but I still had my savings and that's all that matters, really, now I just need to get a garage, find a Futo (easy) and a Sabre (possibly less easy) and I'll have the important stuff back.

I've been racing alone, so it works. As for unlocking parts, I can't say, but my solo wins don't seem to show up on Social Club.

Have you guys got a spot left? If so I'll hop on and join ya. I'm looking to bank some serious cash so that when online finally calms down and functions well I'll have alot of cash to spend.
Edit: Never mind. For some reason, clicking on the latest reply took me to page 60 and I didn't see that. Whoops.

Just tried but no luck, still have the same amount of races needed to unlock parts. Good in a way as you have to work to get the upgrades, just wanted to see if there was quick "cheat" way to do it as when no one from my friends list is on it's hard to get people to join races. For some reason they not as popular as other modes.
 
Anyone got time to do some Violent Duct grinding? I can't host it as I'm not level 15 thanks to a deleted character. If anyone's hosting, mind inviting me? I'll try my best to help. :)

I'm level 15, but I don't know what to do to get the mission, and then to repeat it.

I'm in the same trouble; the mission won't show up.

To restart the mission simply press R2 instead of X, after the mission. 👍

On the 360 you just hit RT and you can instantly play it again. I haven't had this mission come up in a while so I just play the survival modes for money. Wave 10 gets you $20,000. A good group of 4 can tear through these pretty fast.

I believe you can also pick the missions in the start button menu. Go to online then its somewhere in there. When the servers are working properly.

The free crew car is also AWD and does quite well offroad.
EDIT: oops this reply was for the GTA offroad thread.

is anyone getting disconnected or signed out from psn after a few minutes online? I've been signed out about 3-5 times in a row now :(

I have only raced alone and I have unlocked 1 bumper upgrade. So maybe it's possible or maybe it was something else unlocked it, as I haven't done much races.

I'm on PS3 but I have seen about 3 people ever on the same map as me and only had one encounter with a player and the guy tried to shoot me instantly, luckily I jumped in my car and was gone before he killed me.
 
I wonder, if you have both the 360 and PS3 versions, are you able to link both to your RSC account and not have to level up using separate characters?

I'm on PS3 but I have seen about 3 people ever on the same map as me and only had one encounter with a player and the guy tried to shoot me instantly, luckily I jumped in my car and was gone before he killed me.

Earlier I bought an apartment with garage, so I bought some cars off the internet and one arrived in my garage so I thought I'd take it out for a spin. I get out the door, some guy kills me while I'm sat in the car (Hot Pink Injection off-roader btw) and then jacks it.

So just wait til you get in a full lobby, you'll soon be encountering people a lot. When you get killed by someone you can initiate a one-on-one deathmatch to try and prove your rep. But otherwise Passive Mode is the best bet in rooms if you're trying to do stuff. Costs $100 though :(

After you click that you will join online and the server will only have you on it. No idiots to ruin your gameplay. At this point friends can join or you can invite friends. :)

I'd rather play with the GTP crew though.

And I'm not complaining. I'm retelling a funny anecdote. There is a difference.

My fault. I have been replying in 3 or 4 different GTA threads and I thought you were the same person. I apologize. Regardless, hopefully the info I posted helps those that didn't know.

Had to have been. That was the first time one of my hot pink cars has been jacked, but it happened not long after in a different car.

That's alright. I would play invite only, the trouble is then nobody would invite me . . .
 
Hell, freaking, YES!

I just stole a non-insured none tracked car off someone. Only it happens to have nearly 200K of mods, matte yellow, fast as hell, mine now...

I almost had it happening to me. I saw I had unlocked some hairstyles, so I thought I'd go to the barber shop. Once I get there, and I've checked a few of those, this guy walks in, trying to beat me up and running in and out, almost forcing me to get out in "killing-space". I decided it would be best for myself if I left, and so I did.

There's also the 'Closed Crew' option. I always use that. 👍
