I'm curious. Did everyone who's having issues use the exploits? This could be Rockstar trying to implement the cheater servers and those servers not working correctly because SO many people used them, which would be day 1 all over again.

EDIT: Why wouldn't Rockstar keep their promise about the 500k?

Nope everyone is having this issue. The latest update (1.04) caused this problem. Easily the worst update so far, since every problem fixed with 1.02 and 1.03 has now been revived with 1.04. :grumpy:
 
I went on the GTA Forums earlier and holy crap I must say, it is a cesspool. Most of the topics are things like "ROKSTAR FIX YOUR 🤬 GAME" and such. There's very little intelligent discussion.

Nor is there any word from R* about this. So what do you expect people to say?
 
Okay. Well, Rockstar did say they weren't handing out the money until the servers were fixed. But, I don't see this as a way for them to NOT pay out the money. Bringing back the issues wouldn't be very smart to do on purpose 'cause all that does is get people to stop playing the game, which Rockstar doesn't want. Plus it's not like they're giving everyone $500k in real money. (Although, they might actually have the money to do that, but then they wouldn't have any money to make GTA6.)

EDIT: Wasn't really a hypothesis, I was simply curious.

And to think GTAForums used to be very informative and helpful. Now it's overrun with little children complaining about everything, and the moderators can't be bothered to ban them.

EDIT: Why wouldn't Rockstar keep their promise about the 500k? Because their patch created more issues? If the reason for the issues is what I stated above, then the problem is our fault, not Rockstar. If we were greedy impatient idiots, we wouldn't be in this mess.

Who are greedy impatient idiots? I haven't used any exploit/glitch, yet I'm experiencing cloud problems.

His catch all statements are somewhat undermining and patronizing to the legitimate players on the site don't you think?
 
I hope they just delete patch 1.04 and revert GTA Online to update 1.03. There was no need for this update. Sure it fixed the LS Customs glitches and stuff, but it also introduced new problems and reintroduced old problems such as payouts being cut in half and the cloud server crashes, respectively. My guess is that the servers will be down for the remainder of the day. If I'm wrong, then I'll be happy.
And to think, all of this mayhem just to introduce a patch that allowed Rockstar to transfer money into all of our online bank accounts. :lol:

I reckon they might bring out a new patch which reverts everything to how it was before in 1.03. I remember when this happened in GT5 after a whole lot of complaining. I think this might be the best option after the servers are a bit more stable.

That same room was the one where I found out spraying police cars with a fire truck counts as attacking them.
But that room turned from biking up chilliad to having a shoutout with the cops.

Biking and the cop shoot out built my character up a lot; his strength, max health, stamina, and shooting all went up a block or two. The occasional fist fight helped too :lol:, looking at you GTP_TheApexWay.

It's not everyone. I had a 10 hour on and off (mostly on) session yesterday without issues. I did have one or two failure to join messages but that was due to the person who invited me already starting the job.

In my opinion this was a good update, I didn't play during 1.03 so I can't comment on that (decided to wait from 1.02), but all my issues have been solved.

I'll be on 7EST if anyone's available, no mic till 9 (when my daughter goes to bed).

I think it was to block the exploits and cheating.

Also, the Community page on rockstargames.com is getting a bit violent. :lol:
Fans are raging hard right now.
 
I've been in a solo session all night but jobs or races won't load. So I made good use of the time to get to that destroy 500 cars platinum award. Steal a very big truck and block the highway + 2 - 3 granades in the que. :sly:

Yeah I'm still in freemode doing stuff waiting for them to come back up.

Martin's raging at me for not helping him, Simeon and Gerald are phoning me up saying they've not heard from me in a while. I feel helpless, they're my homies and I can't help them out :guilty:

I have had a few saves, and Social Club has updated every time, so I'm still doing stuff for the moment.

Haha I can't help but think that Martin, Simeon, and Gerald are all like "I'm all alone, there's nobody there beside me..." :lol:

Exactly, Martin has marital issues, Gerald is a loner and Simeon is a lech, they all gotta get things done somehow.

I've noticed that if you do a mission that's not in line with your "level" missions (in story progression), you only get about half the money. I've carried the team with a level 15 under every else only to get half, that's BS.

I noticed that yesterday when doing Base Invaders with a friend who was only level 31 (I think the minimal level is 40). He got $25,000 while I got the cut price of $12,500!
We were on Skype, so he got quite the earful of rage from me. :lol:

The minimum level for Base Invaders is 27.

Though I must admit, last night after I did the update I noticed a lot of weird payouts for missions. Some were getting half some weren't.

I'm going to guess that the host gets screwed over while the invited players get the old full payout? That's my last guess before I assume it's a bug/glitch. :confused:
Are the servers still down? I'm out at the minute and can't check.
