• Masks are now removed during Races where a helmet is required and are also removed by default when a player uses the Smoking animation.

Phew, glad they fixed these. Really really important problems right there [/sarcasm]

GTA V has fallen off my radar. R* aren't the cool dudes I thought they once were. All the cool little things they keep patching out is getting on my nerves.

Now my smoking chimp celebration is ruined. I also liked it when his ears popped out of the sides of the helmet.

R* are playing a strange game with us.

I agree that the 'patches' have seemed awfully petty at times, however, recently R* has fixed adjusted the Sandking to actually have some power to the front wheels. While the 4wd model is far from perfect, this makes the Sandking equal to the other "4x4's" at least. This is the first attempt that I've noticed to patch things the players want vs. what the geniuses at R* want from this game. Hopefully someone inside R* is actually paying attention, I still think that the online portion of the game has more to offer if it were to receive the proper add on content.

One improvement (or heck it, even a dozen) doesn't excuse their injustice towards players who have received huge amounts of cash from modders without being able to decline it.

Adjusting the sandking is great and all, I would happily swap that for my monkey smoking a cigarette, my rat-loader, clean rebels etc etc.

I can agree with that. It hadn't crossed my mind before but only because it hasn't effected me. I still haven't given up the game yet. I'm still enjoying online play, although I'm beginning to see a lot of repetitiveness. If R* releases some gamer-friendly patches soon, I can see playing for quite awhile. I'm not holding my breath though, as that has not been the path R* has chosen so far.

Really? I will have to check that out. I avoided driving that because it was only a RWD truck and fairly worthless offroad.

I like how the recent patches have allowed co-op missions to be in the vote menu. I played with a couple randoms last night for at least 2 straight hours because we all kept voting for co-op missions. Or if a co-op mission was not available we would complete all 10 waves of survival. Then back to co-op missions again. Worked VERY well last night.
 
Rumour has it that Rockstar are going to have it snowing in LS sometime before Christmas. Some files were found
recently.

I've just made a Sandking-only race starting from the oil refinery, going through the wind farm and ending at the quarry.

It's titled 'Stars and Stripes' if anyone wants to try it out.
 
I've made a race for 16 people to race on the wrong side of the highway, and ends at FZ. The twist is, I've put some obstacles around the track which means only one car can get through at some places. Now try imagining 16 players with that. :P Highway Challenge FYI.
 
I made a race called "Swamp Race 1" if anyone wants to try it out. I put about 3 hours into it. Still needs a little work but overall I think its quite solid. Up to 16 players. After I receive some feedback I will make the changes and call it Swamp Race 2. Lots of mud, water, jumps, reeds, and obstacles. Its designed for offroad vehicles. It would be very difficult, maybe impossible, to complete with cars or bikes.
