Yes, a huge leap - though, of course, that can be a matter of opinion. I found it to be very addictive - tapping the child in me that needed not only to vent, but also to fantasize. Maybe, in a way, this helps younger folk (at least those old enough to play the game) define for themselves that line between reality and fantasy that sometimes gets blurred. The graphics, while awesome, are video-gamey enough for anyone with a modicum of sensibility to realise that it is only a game, and not the kind of virtual reality that numbs the synapses to the point that one doesn't know a game from the real thing. Reality, also, is deftly parodied enough in the game to make one laugh at the various possibilities available in our daily decision-making when mortality (or punishment) is not a concern. I believe a lot of players may have already finished all the missions, and are impatiently looking forward to the Online mayhem.
