3 speed?! It's the Chapparal of the 90s!
Iced.
Iced.
You guys realize the 3 speed auto used in this is widely recognized as one of the best auto transmissions ever built right? Nothing else in the world at the time could withstand the power this cars engine was putting out except the Ford C6 but that wasn't used because of compatibility issues.

I don't think you understand....there wasn't anything out at the time that could handle the power, period. It might one of the best autos ever, but that's like saying the best area of your body to be shot is in the foot - you'd rather it didn't happen at all, right? A nice manual is always better, especially in a car with sporting pretensions.
Makes me think of @Danny's attempt to pronounce it.

Not to mention the fact that you'll fly up to 80mph in first gear aloneTo note: According to Wikipedia, this car put out over a thousand horsepower at 14 psi of boost... a setting which was available to the driver.
Not many transmissions could take that kind of power back then... even now, it's difficult to build one that can... the reason why many big motor AMGs use automatics.
And consider, 0-60 in four seconds and a reported prototype top speed of over 240 mph. Not shabby.

Don't care either way... the interior is 80'stastic, and the styling is even worse. Just edges into uncool.
Because it isn't a Cizeta-Moroder.
