Here you go.Source, please?
How about something a little more recent than a 6 year old article from a source renown for bias. Yes, they claim to be citing research but don't really cite the source, only using a cherry picked quote.
Unless you drive a Sunbird, in which case the first one is false because the car will break down while revving, thus blocking the road. The second one is irrelevant because, well, it's a Sunbird. The third is false because no Prius owner is going to feel self conscious about a 20 year old rust bucket revving the snot out of their engine next to them when they have a new car that doesn't fall apart. Also, they probably couldn't hear it anyways over their music, or if they could, they'd think it was the engine in the Sunbird acting up.
Also, if you were insecure/self conscious, you wouldn't be driving a Prius. You'd be driving something along the lines of this:

Still trying to find out where I said I drive a "sunbird".... Don't think sunbirds look like this:
Obviously if you're in a Geo Metro and you rev your car you look stupid. But there's nothing wrong a little blip of the throttle from a 5.7 V8. It's not like I'm riding redline the whole time. Just a little something to let the Prius owner know what he's missing![]()
Still trying to find out where I said it was you that was driving the Sunbird.![]()
Unless you drive a Sunbird
Prius owners usually buy their cars for better MPG, lower emissions, and because they do it practically. I don't see any car with a 5.7 V8 doing that.
And I got my car for better SPG (smiler per gallon), louder emissions and because I'm a car enthusiast. I don't see any hybrid doing that.
Then I have no idea where you got the sunbird from. So if I don't drive it then who were you referring to![]()
I'd rather look like a tool while having fun even if it means burning more gas than look like an average person in a boring car going back to work every day going no where with their life. Even if it means better fuel economy. Fun is more important than MPG's, at least to me. I'm not saying you can't have fun with a Prius, but it would be a lot harder, and it just doesn't have the sound I love.
A vast majority of people who own cars don't care if it's ... interesting.
To bad that tank isn't American....Actually, several people bought them years before $3/gallon gas, telling it me it was "interesting", because it was a different way to drive. Naturally, interesting is different to many people.
Hey, have you guys seen this yet? Totally radicalferaleaglesoaringlibertyawseomefreedom!
USA! USA! Hayabusa! I mean, USA!
Too bad that wasn't the point....To bad that tank isn't American....
Lolfoxnews.
Unfortunately, not the most uncool car on the Cool Wall (seriously, why the blank couldn't you guys cooperate just long enough to make this the first car ever in Hell?), but very close.
Really, I'm not sure what I expected, but seriously, even among hybrids this car is depserately uncool. It might actually be the least cool car ever built. The sheer misguided, misinformed environmentalism imbued in the very sheetmetal of this car makes it more Seriously Uncool than any GM brain fart (Cimarron, Aztek) could ever hope to be.
