I want to thank all the creators for doing a tremendous job in their interpretation of Gran Turismo 5 through their videos and choice of music.

After watching all the user-made videos in this thread and some that aren't listed here, I'd like to bring to attention my favorite videos that I think everyone here should see. In my opinion, they display a level of sophistication that rivals, if not surpasses, official trailers made by Polyphony Digital. Those who exhibit the following (to me) are:

Tommikin - "5OUL ON D!SPLAY"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibzpHAl1M1A
A very good incorporation of all the licenses introduced, like NASCAR, WRC and Top Gear without compromising the fidelity of the E3 2010 official trailer. Creating a video for the whole song with scenes that match the pace of the E3 trailer is no easy feat. Fantastic job.

Tommikin - "Moon Over the Castle"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=452h-bAUOWc
Tommikin has a knack for capturing the feel of the franchise, and his homage to the introduction of Gran Turismo 2 does the song justice. The introduction is utterly brilliant, the buildup riveting, and the his montage of cars nostalgic. The song choice, naturally, puts it over the top. Hard to choose between this or his first video.

KoppabergDave - "Ooh La La"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dXalZw44mAk
How this one has only 400 views (as of now) confounds me. Perhaps it was the unconventional song choice of "Ooh La La", departing from the grandeur, "epic" feel, that made people overlook it. In my opinion, the song is classy, sexy, and beautiful - exactly what the cars in his trailer are. Match that with clips that sync with the music, and you get a brilliant fan trailer. I do have to point out that the delay of the game makes it outdated (referring to inclusion of the November 2nd date). Nonetheless, KoppabergDave is a great, and very underrated, editor (his take on the GT1 song is pretty snazzy as well).

There are many other honorable mentions to praise but that would take up a lot of time. My top three are those that keep me clicking the replay button many times, and make me do a double-take on whether or not it was fan-made or professional. I feel that once the proper introduction for Gran Turismo 5 surfaces, we will see countless masterpieces from everyone here. So thank you, great job, and keep it up everyone!

Thanks very muchly CCSabbath! It's very encouraging to get some good feedback like this, hopefully it'll encourage a few more people to go and view my vid. Part of the problem is probably me not taking any great steps promoting it anywhere else but on this site, in this particular thread.

My next video is shaping up very nicely so I'll put more effort into that one plus I have a feeling more people here will like it, it will be out in time for GT5's release (unless they pull a fast one and somehow it's in shops before anyone is expecting!). I'm on holiday for 10 days coming up soon so can't work on it then, so gonna try and rush it out in the next week, but probably not gonna happen :(

I've sadly had to stop with the ten minute trailer.. Vegas 9 keeps crashing on me due to all the clips and since I'm on a laptop I don't have enough ram(?) to keep it from crashing. I've started a new trailer now.

You could try what I do with WMM:
Save it in segments, put the segments together, save it like that, so there are fewer clips.

Even if I only have one clip thats about 5-10 seconds long and sometimes shorter, it just glitches up a lot. :indiff:

Crank up the volume, go and watch this in HD in fullscreen, and I hope you enjoy, my new GT5 fan trailer. Feel happy to repost, try and spread the love (and the view-count!). :p

All comments welcome :)

Wow at that trailer.

I have watched virtually all GT5 trailers and that without doubt is my favourite. Sorry Tommiken & Paskowitz but your videos are no longer my favourites.:)

Great trailer, KopparbergDave. Great choice in voice over. Great choice in background song. Great use of matching your visuals to your audio. I think it's great.

Keep it up.

Been abit of a while, but here's my first version of the full game's intro:

Basically, its just a change of song with something I thought would fit well.

I've done this little video here: :D

Try to synchronize with the original, and activate the sound of the original only.

Ah, miss this thread. Last video I made was in Windows Movie Maker so now that I have Vegas, I think I might get back into making one and I'll finally be able to do what I wanted to do but could never accomplish.

Just completed this:

Not all that special but I feel that its close to one of my best trailers just because of the amazing effect I added at the end.
